  1. Frankly, on this occasion I'm disappointed with Milviz. I purchased the Redux version last Thursday (on launch day) and haven't managed to fly it yet! The MVAMS system just does not work and I constantly have a spurious GPS unit in the middle of my virtual cockpit blocking the selected panel. No help from the official support forum sadly, except 'wait for the service pack' -which now still sounds some way off! Are other P3D4.2 users ok or just as stuck?

  3. Just in case your looking in the wrong place. My first email was 9th offering updated 310R and as I had purchased it from the Milviz store a larger discount. Then on 15th an email as a forum member announcing the launch and a smaller discount.
  4. There’s a fault with the installer apparently. Reported on their forum and they are working on a fix.
  5. Use the four arrows and Pge up Pge down till you get to the top of the tower.

  7. I’ve used simbrief route about ten times now successfully. Download. Copy to folder. Co route - without a slash- bingo!
  8. Don’t forget the 250k limit upto 10,000. That takes a lot of throttling back. To be honest I usually use the autopilot/speed/throttle control at 250 and then later climb speed. This aircraft does NOT like to exceed 359k I’ve had the systems go wild several times Here’s my ‘cribsheet’ as a starter for you: LEARJET LJ25 Climb at 300 Kias 13000 LBS 35000 71 Miles 11mins 41000 104 Miles 16min 45000 218 Miles 33 mins Cruise speed max 359KIAS MACH.82 Fuel 1000Take off climb to cruise 1300 first hour and cruise (after 30 mins climb) 1200 second hour 350 descent and land (30 mins) 1000 Reserve GEAR DOWN below 250 FLAPS 8 VREF 40 122, 20 135, 8 144 Ive spent best part of 5 months mainly flying the Lear. I’m learning the Maddog presently but I’ll be back when I need some speed and altitude!

  10. For those of us who have never met Linda would you please give a brief outline of what she can do using what inputs? Is it just for home cockpits?
  11. Ray I have both. Fly both with GTN. TBH I believe there is still a problem with the current GTN importing flight plans direct but that would apply to both and it’s not a great issue. In terms of usage I probably use the Learjet 10 times more often than the Phenom. I prefer hands down the Learjet. It’s just a lot more fun to fly and personally I find the gauges and their sharpness absolutely stunning. One further thing to mention – support by the manufacturers. Frankly I’ve never heard of Carenado providing any support and I can tell you that the Lear Jet support is virtually within hours in my experience (if it’s ever needed). So if it was a football score 10 - Nil in favour of Xtreme Prototype‘s. Cheers Dean

  14. I’m still unclear about this knob - can someone clarify please? VNAV. Just twist it. No clicks? IAS or VS. Twist and left click (push)? Is this done before or after selecting IAS/VS? What does right click (pull) do and when? Ive read the manuals and FCOMs and still struggling to maintain set altitude. Thanks
  15. You are doing something wrong. I never have that issue. Are you starting p/e as Admin? Ask on their forum or Discord channel once USA wakes up - they’ll fix it.
  16. I reinstalled the Duke from this download recently. Since then I’ve noticed a clicking cockpit noise - either a ticking clock or the pumps?? Any clues on eliminating this please?
  17. This aircraft is so good! I know the speed hold is not realistic but it works - and saves me rocketing through 250k below 10,000 and ultimately from overspeed at (I think) 359k. (I’ve found if you allow it to overspeed the autopilot can disconnect and all hell breaks loose). I forgive the developer for this minor imperfection!
  18. Repeated right engine failure on Realair TDV2 in P3DV4 No matter how careful I am I can't stop losing my right engine with no warning at about 1500ft. It happened with my original P3DV4. Even if I set it to forgiving and no random engine failures. I uninstalled and the installed Sean's new installer. Excited! But it still happened! Following proper start procedure. Warmed up. Set revs at 100% (and later less than 100%) so when I set throttle halfway it settles (after a few minutes) at 2200 (or 2150). Then I increase throttle to only 1000 well below limits. Monitoring all settings and no warnings. Takes off nicely and climbs - then BANG the right engine fails. I tried altering configuration (as Admin) and disabled both engine failures. Same results! Help please!
  19. I tried it in P3D and I’m sure they said Windows 8 wasn’t supported! Not sure about 10. Anyway Mustang is a bizjet not a regional jet surely. If you want a biz jet then IMHO Xtreme Prototypes GLJ25 is the best!
  20. There’s another thread about Carenados offerings today. Generally the Pc12 comes out ok with Berts mods. I like it.
