  1. If it wasn't broken, I wouldn't know that I was on AVSim.😳
  2. The official forums are great for novice users with simple problems. I've never seen the kind of issue that you describe, but it sounds like you have a conflict somewhere in the your controller settings. What controller are you using? Are you using FSUIPC to program the controller or are you doing that via the sim's UI? I would also download one of those freeware USB controller button and axis testing utilities. With such an app you can test your controller independent of the sim.
  3. @kt069 There is no way with AIFP to add arrivals and departures to a flightplan. It wouldn't make sense anyway as the procedures change with the active runway. AIG has implemented this type of control for P3d as has VOXATC. What these two apps do is to take control of the AI aircraft from the sim. Both are in the alpha stages of development for MSFS. As to why you are not seeing traffic in MSFS, the whole AI traffic element was broken a few MSFS updates ago. It's also possible that your flightplan may have errors in them like missing aircraft models.
  4. I own the 737 and 777 for P3d but I think I'll pass on any MSFS versions. There's nothing to be gained within the cockpit and until MSFS gets it act together with AI traffic and ATC, there's little to see outside either and that's where MSFS really shines. Tubeliner flying is mostly above the clouds and PMDG aircraft are made for someone who enjoys understanding the myriad of aircraft systems. As to Fenix, I'm sure the A320 will be a big hit if the price is right. I'm a bit shocked as to the hype surrounding the aircraft, considering that Fenix has nowhere near the track record that PMDG has. I'll wait and see just like I did with Aerosoft. That money went instead to some nice 3rd party airports. There's a lot of smaller aircraft that are still in the works for MSFS and these aircraft tend to fit perfectly into the MSFS ecosystem. In any case, the release of these aircraft are a test of the MSFS market. Will casual simmers embrace these aircraft? It really depends on the price. And who's looking at the credit card bill.
  5. Update: I downloaded the file and checked the contents. The mod does consist of AIG flightplans.
  6. Mods: please lock this topic and delete the link in the OP to pirated software. Update: I'm checking this independently. The mod requires the IVAO converted AI aircraft models and AIG textures/flightplans. If those are not included in the package, the mod is perfectly legal.
  7. In P3d5 multiplayer, a user can act as a tower air traffic controller rather than a pilot. The implementation is somewhat clunky but it does work.
  8. You'll have to take a look at panel.cfg for those aircraft and see where the two VOXATC "gauges" are located. Often times, when a complex aircraft is updated, panel.cfg is rewritten by the aircraft setup app, leading to problems. Maybe somebody with those same aircraft installed and VOXATC can help you.
  9. In VOXATC panel setup uninstall all aircraft then exit. Run panel setup again and install all the aircraft that use VOXATC. Sometimes the VOXATC panel database gets corrupted and needs to be reset.
  10. Even so, in the US (which is heavily reliant on personal ICE vehicles) the transportation sector only uses about one third of the total energy usage. Almost all of that comes from burning petroleum products. With grid management, the shift to electric vehicles should be possible to accommodate. Residential energy usage represents approximately another third of energy usage. This sector has been declining as energy efficient lighting, appliances and HVAC have replaced legacy models. The one unknown is whether more air conditioning will be needed as the climate continues to warm.
  11. This thread started out with a high tide rushing in and gradually it ebbed to low tide.
  12. Actually, there was period of time when developers created models with 10 or more LODs. But through experimentation, it was determined that the overhead associated with such models exceeded the performance gained by having variable complexity versions of the model. For example, most AI aircraft models now rarely have more that 2 LODs, one for when viewed close up and one for far away.
  13. I said this from the beginning. Using FSX models for AI Traffic in MSFS will eventually lead to trouble. With that premise, I started out by converting common freeware AI aircraft models to gLTF for personal use. Obviously, this not an option unless you have Blender, 3Dsmax or some other equivalent software. At the time this was an incredible PITA, but in the long run, I avoided Asobo's Xbox related mischief. Presently, for personal use, Model Converter X converts correctly but you the lose all the animations (unless you are a developer that has been approved by the MCX author). Losing AI aircraft animations is problematic. I continue to be amazed that Asobo keeps supporting the legacy FSX model format. At some point the support will probably be so flimsy as to make this option nonviable.
  14. The problem is that the folder that contains your BGL files is not visible to P3d. Something has happened to the add-on.XML file that controls your AIG configuration. Your best bet is see what the folks at AIG say.
  15. You should post this on the HiFi official forums. It will depend on whether you are also using ASCA or not. https://forums.hifisimtech.com/
  16. Is this in non-EA mode? It seems like there's one or more texture files that are either missing or corrupted.
  17. When it works. The clouds are beautiful and the atmospherics are realistic. But that's only two components of weather. The weather changes are smooth, but unfortunately the actual conditions sometimes do not match real world conditions. Is that a deal breaker? Not for me, but it is an annoyance. Without making weather functions available to 3rd party developers, the eye candy will predominate and aviation weather will continue to be hit or miss.
  18. They will eventually fix the CTD issue, but the flaws in AI traffic may take a lot longer to repair. When I first started using MSFS, the offline AI traffic could be made to work with a lot of personal effort. AIFP for MSFS made it a bit easier. Now none of that works at all. I've temporarily given up and I'm going to wait for AIG to automate the process, just like in P3d5.
  19. Asobo has really muddled up AI Traffic and there's no relief in sight.
  20. At present, the AI traffic engine in MSFS is incomplete when compared to even FSX. This has prevented apps like VOXATC and AIG FM from progressing any further than developer alpha versions. When the MSFS SDK AI traffic functionality is brought up to the level of that found in P3d5, beta testing of VOXATC for MSFS will be possible. I agree that it is a shame that there is no version of VOXATC for MSFS, as two of the three weakest features of MSFS are its ATC and it AI traffic.
  21. You should have cut this off with his first post. Using the same logic, Tesla should stop building cars because their products share so much in common with a Model T Ford. As you know, I'm a proponent of MSFS, but it's not THAT much better than P3d5 and XP11. These threads produce nothing of value except for people that like to point out that their one is bigger.
