  1. The external FPS Limiter worked great, thanks again!
  2. worked like a charm. can I ask what the best frame rate would be? thanks again!
  3. Hi everyone, I've done a lot of research and read a lot of posts on an issue I'm having and I'm still stumped. What the heck do I need to do to make this multi panel work with my queen?? It does work with standard FSX aircraft but....well they suck. Here's what I've learned. I need SPAD....I have it...actually read the PDF. This is not really set up for a layman who doesn't really know much about config files. I have the latest FSUIPC but it's not registered. I would register it but I don't want to waste my money because I read on a forum that I'm not supposed to run it with SPAD. So my question is, can I run the multi panel with pmdg without having to go to computer school? If someone can spend a moment to help me with this I'll buy the pizza next time you're in the Boston area. Thanks! jeff
  4. Yes! In fact I had a heck of a time getting the graphics to work at all when I did the Graphics card upgrade. Took two days of trying different cards, and settings. I sprung for a $400 GForce card...had the same problems....the only button I didn't try was the Direct X...I pushed it and all of my problems went away...sans for the progressive taxi. I will try this patch tonight. Thank you so much! jeff
  5. Thanks for the reply. I believe so. The process is similar to the 737NGX I think. I type in KBOS when I'm at the gate and the coordinates pop up. I click on the coordinates which places them in the scratch pad, then on the button (enter IRS position) displayed with a bunch of squares... The coordinates go in, I hear a (ding), should be good to go right? But then I noticed if I hit "next page" twice, there are 3 blank buttons, irs L, irs R, irs C...should there be coordinates in there? Baffling. Again, thanks for taking the time to help! jeff
  6. Hello, I upgraded my computer, stock 2.7 GH hyperthread upgraded to 16gig ram, and put in a crazy G-force video card for 3 monitors. 3 TB hard drive space The graphics are beautiful but, when I activate the progressive taxi the arrows appear for a split second then disappear...forever. With the stock card I never had this problem, I have max settings in the display configuration and I've tried different variants to no avail. Any thoughts? thanks! jeff
  7. If I load a cold dark cockpit and start from scratch I run into the following problem: Under PMDG I changed IRS to instant. After turning on the batter I select "align" on all three IRS switches Open FMC, enter departing airport (kbos) and get the coordinates. Select the coordinates and enter IRS position, which gets excepted. I do a very similar procedure with the 737NGX and I have no problems... However, with the 747 I don't get any heading information...basically looks like I didn't align the IRS. In the upper left hand corner of one of the displays I see a message that says "time to align R" "time to align C" "time to align L" which would suggest that it is aligning in real time but I had selected "instant" from the PMDG menu. If I go back to that menu I notice that any changes that I had made in any area is back to default. Am I doing something wrong or is there a problem with my PMDG menu? These are the instructions from PMDG...I notice that they recommend going from off to NAV, not to Align?? Move the IRS selectors from OFF to NAV Open the FMC and go to the POS INIT page, downselect the GPS Position into the ENTER IRS POS prompt (LSK 6R). Wait the specified time (set in the PMDG/General/IRS dialog) - a countdown is visible in the upper left corner of the ND. IRS alignment is complete when you have a full PFD and ND displayed. Thoughts? Thanks! Jeff
