Why o Why hasn't the wonderful TP program become a commercial product if we cant enjoy it in Win 10 - I dislike Win10 and MSFS2020 even more - My old FSX and its additions are great for flying and were so so much better with the addition of TP - If anyone has really managed to get it to work in Win 10 Please let me know - I have tried changing UAC applied various 'Digital signed disablement' - Reinstalled both FSX and TP so many times all to no avail - Sooooooo really would be happy to try any suggestions - My thanks - Stay safe all - Pete

Just so frustrating that such a good program is going to waste because of MS and its updates etc. I have tried so many ways to get TP to work in Win 10/64 after years of using it in Win 7. All to no avail. So I rebuilt a new machine to take Win10 and the New FS2020 - My personal comments on the new FS are really unprintable.. (Just my opinion) I did try hard - with 3 tries at it all were really horrorable - So - Lets try installing Win 7 into this nice high end machine, then I will be able to run all the addons including TP and MCE - NOPE - MS will not allow old version of Windows ie 7 to install - No mouse or keyboard support - So looks like a revamp of the old machine, and that really is a shame Has anyone found a way for TP to work in Win 10? I have the UAC in trial mode and TP installs fine - Just error code of ERROR connecting to filter port: 0x80070002 Wont hold my breath :-( If mail is better for any thoughts then 'bumble169@gmail.com' is fine - Stay safe - Pete

Hello all - Hope this forum is still active............ I have a problem with TP I run FSX on a Win7/64 machine - and also - Steam SE (FSX) on another Win7/64 I have used TP for year with not problem at all after a lot of playing around with settings and alway disable the DS using the F8 But for some strange reason both machine give a error as shown below The machine running Steam SE was stripped down and only Windows 7 and Steam SE loaded to see if anything like added scenery or Teamspeak was casing the problem, but alas it still prevails Any help most welcome ----------------------- The fault as shown in Steam SE - but much the same in FSX ---------------------- C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapp Press any key to continue . . .C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Tileproxy>proxyuser.exe proxyUser: Volume listing failed with error: 0x80070005 proxyUser: making sure SuperFetch service is not running... proxyUser: Connecting to the filter proxyUser: ERROR connecting to filter port: 0x80070002 C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\Tileproxy>pause Press any key to continue . . . ----------- Many thanks - Pete - bumble169"gmail.com ---------------

Hello - and thank you for the TP guide - A couple of things (well more than that really) that I don't understand and maybe you could shed some light In all of the 'ini' files I have seen the statement shown here as example has '14' repeated 3 times - May I ask why ? level_mapping=5,6,7,8,9,10,11,14,14,14,15,16,17,18,19 Many thanks - Pete

Just come back to say a few words to the two guys having the problems with TP = As you will have read I have really only just started on this learning curve - But I have at least got it to work to some extent - Problems that I have overcome are Signed file rejection Setting the Example that worked Missing cache This is on a Win7/64 nothing special machine so if I can help from a learners point of view pleased to While I like the idea of the map scenery via a server - it really is not as good as the bought scenery I use for UK - BUT - is good for doing trips to places where I have been ie Cyprus for one - At the moment still only use the little Cessna fo TP flights - Regards to all - Pete

What a interesting series of post - My very deep thanks for it all - Not sure how to save it as I will have to keep coming back to it - I have just started out on the TP venture and spent at least the week trying to get it to install past the dreaded 'singed file' block - I have achieved with the F8 key every time I start and believe it or not at least get the DOS screen right up to 'TileProxy is ready to fly' :-) Thats where my luck stops so I will be reading and re-reading the posts - Again my thanks
