  1. I also had the bent propeller issue and wrote Andrey about it. I got a response after three days… I‘ll drop him a line about this thread, maybe it helps…
  2. I can confirm most of the issues. All of them appeared after SU6. Did anybody tell Andrey about these issues?
  3. Mike pointed out, that two fields, Hawkes Bay and Onenui, are actually included in part 3: New Zealand North Island airfield pack Pt. 3 » Microsoft Flight Simulator Depending on when you downloaded part 1 and part 2, these fields may be included in either part one or part 2 already. Anyway, it is wortwhile checking, that you have both airfields installed as they are almost impossible to find without the addons. Thanks Mike! Cheers!
  4. For this flight, we are back on the North Island of New Zealand. We want to fly low and slow and search for eight unregistered airstrips. Three further landings are planned at somewhat easier-to-find airports. We depart from Rotorua (NZRO) and head south. The first airstrip is Wairakei South (NZ2S, 08/26). Just about 4 miles further south is our next landing, Centennial Park (NZ3X, 06/24), which is easy to find. We fly around the mountain and head for Rangitaiki Airfield (NZRK, 16/34). Now we have time to enjoy the scenery of the beautiful North Island. The next two landings are close together again. First, we land at Wharekopae (NZ2U, 04/22) and just about 5 miles northeast we reach Rakauroa (NZ2Y, 12/30). We head to the coast and land at Gisborne (NZGS), a “normal” airport. We follow the coast and have two stops on the small peninsula. The first stop is at Okepuha (NZ2W, 02/20) and just 5 miles south we reach Onenui (NZ3D, 09/27). We head north and reach Tahaenui Station (NZ2V, 10/28), our next landing. To relax the concentration a bit, our next stop is Wairoa (NZRO), a normal, easy-to-find airport. Our last challenge is finding (and landing at) Hawkes Bay (NZ4F, 08/26). 5 miles to the east is Napier (NZNR), today’s destination. Documentation The flight plan can be found here. Aircraft The flight has 260 miles and 11 landings, so there is no need to rush. I will be in the Piaggio P149, other suitable airplanes include the Cessna 172, Cessna 182, the Piper (Turbo) Arrow III, and others. Please fly what you like. Additional Scenery Required for this flight are the two North Island Unregistered Airstrips packages: https://flightsim.to/file/6219/new-zealand-north-island-unregistered-airstrips-part-1 https://flightsim.to/file/6670/new-zealand-north-island-unregistered-airstrips-part-2 We used these packages before, you may have them on your system already. Available are enhancements for Napier and Rotorua (Recommended but not required): https://flightsim.to/file/3396/nza-simulations-nz-aus-mfs2020-discord-nzro-rotorua-scenery-pack-1-0 https://flightsim.to/file/698/napier-nznr-nz-custom-airport-napier-scenery-fix These add-ons require the NZA Model library: https://flightsim.to/file/17597/nza-model-library ORBX published an improved NZ mesh as payware. Time and Weather For takeoff, set the simulator at 3:30 pm local for October 23, 2021. We prefer real weather, but it could be necessary to select a preset with VFR conditions. 5. Thanks Mike! Strange. I flew the TBM twice, yesterday and today, without any problems. Having said that, it'll probably fail later today...
  6. Japan - Nine Provinces Kyushu - meaning Nine Provinces - is the third largest island of Japan's five main islands and the most southerly of the four largest islands (excluding Okinawa). Our departure airport is Kitakyushu (RJFR). We head west and cross the Kamnon Bridge and land at Ashiya (RJFA). About 20 miles to the southwest we land at Fukuoka (RJFF). Before landing at Saga (RJFS) we overfly the River Lift Bridge near Okawa. We head northwest and reach the Ikitsuki Bridge where we turn southeast. The next landing is at Chisun-Inn-Omura (RJFU), the airport serving the Nagasaki area. We overfly the city of Nagasaki and head out over the water to find Hakashima Island. Here we turn back east and then north to stay over land. Then we turn east, overfly Mount Unzen. Reaching the coast we turn south and land at Amakusa (RJDA). We fly basically south and land at Kanoya (RJFY). From now on the general direction is north. We follow the coast and land at Nyutabaru (RJFN). We turn back inland and land at Kumamoto (RJFT). On the way to our destination Oita (RJFO) we overfly Mount Aso and Mount Kuju and search for the Kokonoe Bridge. Documentation: Flight plan and a Pilots Guide are here. Aircraft: The flight has 490 miles with 9 landings, so we want to cruise at about 250 knots. I will be in the MSFS TBM930. The small jets are also suitable. Please fly what you like. Additional scenery: The only addon I found is the SamScene Japan Fukuoka (available as payware at ORBX) Time and Weather For takeoff set the simulator at 15:00 hrs local for October 2, 2021. We try real weather. 7. With this flight we visit the south of Norway and some of the inland provinces. We depart from Fagernes Airport (ENFG), a GA airport near the city of Leirin. It was a used as a commercial airport, but commercial activities ceased in 2018. For the next 19 waypoints we cross westbound and later southbound over the country. We follow the Sørfjord south, overfly the Old Town of Stavanger [STAV], and land at the airport of Sola (ENZV). We depart Stavanger, overfly the Stadium [STADI], and head east. We enter the Lysefjord and look out for the Preikestolen [PREIK], the " priests chair". Preikestolen is a steep cliff which rises 604 metres (1,982 ft) above Lysefjorden. We follow Lysefjorden and land at Valle (ENVE). We turn south, along the river Otra, follow it east for 3 miles and head for Fyresdal (ENFY), our next landing. Fyresdal is known for its many findings from the Viking Age, its mighty Viking graves, heaps of slag, and the former pilgrim church that once stood proudly north of the village centre. Norway's biggest stave church, Heddal Stave Church [CHUR], can be seen on the way to our landing at Notodden (ENNO). We head first south and then east again and land shortly before reaching the Oslo Fjord, at Sandefjord Torp (ENTO). We follow the rugged coast to land at Gullknapp (ENGK). It is an GA airport and since several years discussions are ongoing to expand the airport and open it for commercial flights to Denmark and destinations in Norway. Today's destination is Kristiansand Kjevik Airport (ENCN). Documentation The flightplan and a short pilots guide can be found here. Aircraft We need to cover about 500nm so we require something fast. The TBM 930 or the Vertigo Racer are suitable (no need to race full throttle!!), or any other aircraft cruising with about 200 knots. I'll fly the TBM930 in the D-FAYX livery by Jan Kess Blom. Additional Scenery Fagernes, Stavanger Sola, Fyresdal, Sandefjord, and Kristiansand are available as freeware. For Sola you may also want to download a fix for the red lines on the airport and, as for Bergen on our last flight, the Wombiiactual Asset pack. Also available are the Mesh downloads for Norway, Part I and Part II. ORBX has pretty good payware for Kristiansand, Notodden and Sandefjord. Time and Weather For takeoff on Saturday, set the simulator at 6:00 pm local for July 31, 2021. We prefer real weather. Multiplayer Particulars Date and time: Saturday, July 31, 2021. 1800 UTC Where: AVSIM RTWR Teamspeak - Casual Flights Channel Teamspeak Server Address: ts.teamavsim.com Cross-Platform Multiplayer: JoinFS. 8. For those who like to fly in that beautiful part of Norway more often: ORBX just released ENSG Sogndal Haukasen Airport!
  9. Today we visit a couple of small and even smaller airstrips in New Zealand. All of them are in the southern part of New Zealand's North Island. We depart from Wellington (NZWN) and follow a clockwise route, ending at Pencarrow Head (NZ4Q). There are twelve landings enroute, most of them small grass fields. These fields are to my knowledge not included in the MSFS database. We land at Ohariu Farm (NZ4N), Ohariu (NZ4P), Ohariu Valley (NZ4M), Belmont Airstrip (NZ4L), and Battle Hill Station (NZ4G). The next landings are at the default airports of Paraparaumu (NZPP), and Masterton (NZMS). Then we are back to the smaller airstrips. We land at Parsons Landing (NZ4J) and Riversdale Beach (NZ4I). One more default airport is Masterton's second airfield (NZPW). We head back into the Pakuratahi Forrest and land at Kaitoke (NZ4H) and Rimutaka (NZ4R) before we reach today's destination Pencarrow Head (NZ4Q). Flight plans are here. Aircraft: The flight has only 160 miles but 12 landings. A "low and slow" airplane would be a good choice and I will be in a Savage Grravel. As always, please fly what you like. Scenery: Required : New Zealand North Island unregistered airstrips - Part 1 » Microsoft Flight Simulator New Zealand North Island unregistered airstrips - Part 2 » Microsoft Flight Simulator New Zealand North Island airfield pack Pt. 3 » Microsoft Flight Simulator We could make at least one more flights using these three packs!
