  1. Since OP is looking for a regional jet, I'll put in my 2 cents. I own both the Aerosoft CRJ and the FeelThere e-Jets for v4. While neither of them is perfect, the e-Jet is far and away a better aircraft to fly in the sim at this point. I purchased the CRJ after a lot of glowing reviews from one of their beta testers (who apparently did the live stream of the 319). I used to think he was pretty knowledgeable about what he was saying about how great the CRJ was in beta, but frankly it was a hot mess when released. I now have to take things he says with a large grain of salt and I am beginning to doubt his objectivity, since he gets all these add ons that we pay for dearly, for free. Why in 2018 would I have to load a Piper Cub at a commercial gate, then change the aircraft to the CRJ to even get it to run? I do like some products Aerosoft makes, but IMHO, they release products with a LOT of bugs that should have been addressed in the beta. I also think their manual for the CRJ is confusing, misses a clear explanation of how to fly the tutorial (which could be due to translation from German to English) and dwells far too long on stuff the usual customer really could care about. The e-Jet is not perfect (could use some texture upgrades in the virtual cockpit), at least it can fly a route without the frustrating glitches the CRJ has.
  2. https://www.precisionmanuals.com/ Same product for v3 and v4 of P3D.
  3. There may be two "start-up" issues on the engines. The first was the fast spool up of the engines when starting. That has been corrected with the hotfix. There could be an issue with trying to start the engines when using GSX in pushback (at least there is in my case). I think this is being looked into.
  4. I believe in the settings for ASP4, you can tick a checkbox "Prevent downloads during approach", which should eliminate that problem. You can also limit maximum wind speeds on the ground in the settings.
  5. I have the Thrustmaster T16000M HOTAS, which replaced a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro and I am mostly happy with the set up. I find the throttle rails a little stiff, but perhaps I just need to loosen the tension a little bit more. The stick is excellent and I do like having all the assignable buttons and hats on both the stick & throttle.
  6. Looks like those are all planned add on packs to the basic bird, per the Captain Sim website.
  7. Well I read this thread and wanted to thank people who posted about their experience with the aircraft. The CS 757 was the very first payware aircraft I bought when I first started flight sim in FSX. I still have the box with the DVD in it. It was really nice not having to fly a bunch of Orbit, World Travel, etc liveries and have a flight plan that was more sophisticated than departure and arrival airport. I had an issue with violent wing rocking in the sim that was fixed with an update released by Captain Sim. Fast forward a good bit and I purchased a new computer, eagerly loading up all my FSX DVD's onto the new computer. I then loaded the CS 757 into the new computer and the violent wing rocking was there. I went to their website and learned they did not support the box version any more, so sadly, the CS757 was parked Next I bought the QW version. While it was good, I personally preferred the CS version. I was not really satisfied with the QW bird in P3D v3, either. I didn't like the cockpit textures and displays and found it somewhat off putting. I missed the eye candy. I am going to take a hard look at the Captain Sim version. Hopefully it lives up to the good reports here.
  8. The FSX version can use Navigraph and I do not see any reason this one cannot.
  9. I have found the latest version to be much improved over the initial release. There are a couple of small issues in the NAV system ( appears to not like Navigraph as much as Aerosoft's NavData Pro), but appears Hans is working on that. That issue involves loading all the waypoints in a STAR, but I can manually enter them for now. Otherwise it is a very nice aircraft.
  10. I was not insulting you. I am merely stating it is a very temperamental program, much like it's publisher.
  11. Well I am stumped, but GSX is a fickle mistress
  12. Well, first you need to get your sim running( hopefully you saved your FlightBeam download), then go to the add-ons menu, DEACTIVATE KSFO from the FSDT add-on manager, uninstall KSFO using the program features in Winsdows, then install it with FlightBeam's installer. See if that fixes it. If you already did that, my apologies.
  13. OK, I installed it yesterday using the Aerosoft instructions of uninstalling the CRJ, doing that whatever thing they wanted to the hard drive and installing the new one. Afterward, I look in the P3D v4 add-ons and the old version (08/17) is still hanging around with it's 1 GB file, so I deleted that one. I would have thought an uninstaller was supposed to remove that. Just tried so far to start it at a gate, but looks like Dave works, yoke disappears, so far, so good. Gonna try a flight today and see how the NAV system goes. Back to the tutorial to read again how to fly it, since I forgot all that in the month or so it was hangared.
  14. Legit customer, 2 uninstalls so far (ver 1.0(c) and 1.0.1.0) downloaded v1.0.2 today, but have not tried to fire it up yet. I think parts of issue are a language barrier, inconsistent uninstall/ install instructions and people (marketers not the dev) who cannot stand the slightest criticism. So far, I haven't received $50 worth of enjoyment from it, but close to $100 in aggravation.
  15. I feel fortunate I still run Win 7. No trying to muck up my computer when I'm using it.
  16. Yeah, I figured I borked something in there with a stray mouse click. Now off to find that pesky bugger and take a hammer to it. Thanks.
  17. I have moved on to P3D v4.1 and have the NGX installed. I do not use the default ATC in P3D. Since flying the NGX, I keep hearing the Morse code for the Localizer ( I guess) when I am starting my approach. I don't remember having that previously and was wondering if I can mute it? Thanks
  18. Are you running P3D v4? Looks like your signature shows all 32 bit flight sim programs, so if you are not having problems running them, it doesn't seem economical to upgrade the CPU. I have a similar system to yours and the 4790K can handle P3D v4 at a stock clock just fine for me. I did upgrade to a GTX 1070 FTW, though and use Win 7.
  19. For your throttle, try going into the MJC84 Control Panel, click "engine controls", move you throttles all the way down and note the number displayed in the "position" box. Compare your throttle position number with that number (in my case their initial setting was -4096, my throttle noted "2"). I put that number in the reverse box. Do the same for the disc, idle, detent and max,(overwrite the numbers with what matches on your throttle) then hit apply. You need to have the sim loaded with the Dash 8. Reload the aircraft and test your throttle range to be sure it matches. If you already did that, my apologies.
  20. Thanks, handen for the update. It certainly sounds like it could be a great program for flight simulation.
  21. Sorry, I am just a little bit skeptical about any company surfacing out of nowhere and making amazing claims on facebook. If this is legit, it would be a nice utility, but who knows if it is just a scheme to get into your computer and "hunt" for things.
  22. This is a link to a facebook page that has been active for 4 hours or so, and no names of the persons behind this amazing piece of software. You would think someone would have more info about them.
