    We already have FSXI. It's called Prepar3d v2 and the current FSX is years behind it in development now. Some sucker bought a White Elephant. If they really did buy it at all. It's more likely this topic is complete bollocks. There is no evidence that anyone bought anything.

    I don't care how much it costs and I don't care if there is no discount as an existing customer. Once the red tape is cut through and PMDG release the 777/737 for P3D, I'm buying them and deleting FSX for good.

    Ok lads, been messing around for a few hours now and can now categorically state that using a yoke like this massively improves my pmdg 737/777 experience.

    What will be your first PMDG 300ER flight? I'm thinking a short test flight NZWN - NZAA to feel things out followed by a long haul NZAA - KLAX.

    Vu, I was half kidding. With the help of numerous add-on enhancements, faster and cheaper hardware, and programmers stretching the boundaries, the life of FSX is probably extended a few more years anyway. I've just upgraded from an i7-2600 to an i7-4770k and it's given my FSX a new burst of life. But because FSX is no longer actively developed and technology will move forward in XP10/P3D, FSX maybe has 5 more years at the very most?

    Not fussed about price within reason. P3D, XP10, or some new Prodiuct X , whatever "takes off" in the general aviation sim community, I'm in.

    Hans, it won't work properly and it's not legit. Wait for the genuine NGX P3D release. Plenty to keep you occupied in the meantime with FSX. 777-200LR sp1 + 777-300ER and then 747-400v2. Prediction: 3 years from now we'll all be on P3D and FSX will be the new FS9 and in 2018 when PMDG roll out the A380, 777X, 737Max, 787-900, some sad silly sadists will ask, will there be FSX versions, and we will all laugh. Right!???

    I didn't know that, where was it confirmed that the cockpit perspective, measurements etc are off a tad? I've only had brief glimpses into the cockpit while boarding the NG on occasion so I would have no idea.

    Hi guys, I've just moved from a i7-2600 (had it for ~3 years) to an i7-4770k and have experienced a giant boost in performance. It is like a completely new sim. So much more fluid. It was so good I almost started a new topic on the subject in the PMDG General forum. Now that I have brand new hardware (except for my GTX780) I'll be interested to see if the freezing issue occurs as it sometimes did on my old rig.

    Agree although the workload will no doubt increase on the 777 with the introduction of the WX Radar. Especially here in the land of the "Long White Cloud" - a common NZ nickname along with "The Shaky Isles" (a reference to our constant earthquake activity). Oh yea, and the beloved city I live in "Auckland" is built amongst 53 volcanic cones on an active volcanic field. That's Middle Earth for ya. Enjoy!

    Reading all this again It just hit me Steven, Elfyn and Kyle that I have completely overlooked the intricacies of "powering it down". Normally I just reset shortly after touch down. Pathetic. Clearly I'm not even half the geek i thought I was.
