  1. Hello, I'm finally back to flight simulation and started using MCE again now that I have a good headset for voice recognition. I'm using it with PF3 on P3Dv5 and have a few questions and remarks: First of all, I can't see the text commands in red on the top left corner. Instead, the countermeasures are being toggled just like if I was pushing CTRL+Z. I tried the recover feature but it didn't help. Is there a way to get the FS commands instead? Also, as explained in my other post, it seems there are some dlls missing from the MCE folders, but I guess you'll correct this in a patch. A quick question about aircraft compatibility: is MCE compatible with the 737 Classic from captainsim? Or is it just compatible with their old 737s (737-100/200) ? Another thing is that PF3 integration works pretty well with IFR flight plans, but I haven't been able to get a PF3 VFR flight plan to work correctly with MCE : PF3 absolutely understands nothing from what I say, and if by miracle it understands that I'm asking to open my flight plan, if I ask anything else after this, ATC keeps telling me "Okay will open your flight plan at ..." independently from what I'm asking. Using the hotkeys works as expected, but not with voice recognition. I can't verify if what I'm saying is properly recognized by MCE as I can't see the text commands as explained above. When using MCE with PF3, it seems that the FO has the control on radios by default, and if I'm asking for my IFR clearance, he will acknowledge for me immediatly, which can be quite annoying if I didn't understand correctly ATC. A simple tip is to tell him I handle the radio before initiating communications with ATC, but I usually forget to do so. Is there a way to get ATC control by default? Finally, PF3 documentation is actually the one for PFE, but since PFE, Dave has added quite a lot of new features to PF3, and some indications are missing: as an example, I struggled to ask for a direct to another waypoint as I don't know what to say exactly. Just asking for a direct to the waypoint name didn't work. I also was not able to ask for a higher altitude (it is documented though, but it didn't seem to understand what I was asking for). EDIT: another last question, when FO talks to PF3 ATC, MCE seems to force the focus on P3D window, which prevents me from using my keyboard on others apps without risks of getting the landing gear out in the middle of the cruise, is there any option to prevent this? Otherwise, now that I'm finally able to properly use MCE with a good microphone, I must admit it's really enjoyable ! Thanks by advance !
  2. Thanks a lot Gerald ! I don't need them right now, but I think some other dlls are missing too. I guess the CS 767 v2 has a specific dll as well and could't see it either.
  3. Hello there, I've tried a reinstall as an admin, still no mccs75V3.dll being installed. Any ideas?
  4. That's really weird ! I reinstalled MCE yesterday right after downloading the latest version from your website. Could it be missing from your latest installer? Now that you're saying this, it seems the latest version of CS 767 does not seems to have a dll there either. All the other well known aircraft dll are there.
  5. Hello again Gerald, I'm not sure I brought anything up actually, I think you misunderstood me. There is no space in the air file name: Thus I'm not sure a wrong sim name is the reason of the issue. However I checked the dll folder and found only this dll for the cs 757: mccs75X.dll Is it also for the 757 III ? If so, what other reason could it be?
  6. Hello Gerald, Well there's many depending on the flight model used (200 or 300 variants, PW or RR engine, engine rating... etc) I've crosschecked and all the liveries are using the correct air file provided by captainsim (they wouldn't even appear in P3D by experience if it was not the case anyways). As an example, here is the default CS 757-200 PW2037 entry, with which it didn't work properly: sim=cs757-200_PW2037w
  7. Hello there, After a while without flying on my sim, I've reinstalled the latest version of MCE yesterday. I wanted to use it with the captainsim 757 III on P3Dv5, but it seems it's not recognising it as the captainsim at all. MCP values do not change as expected while the copilot acknowledges my orders. Any idea of what's happening?
  8. There is no specific setting to change for this to work, there's no customization offered for this but it's included in the shader package installed by Envshade into the sim. It's solved out of the box without any user input. Also it fixes the terrain PBR but it does not change other objects PBR which is fine.
  9. Envshade also do solve this, this is unfortunately "normal" with default P3D shaders.
  10. And you said it was working with Envshade installed right? I would suggest to install Envshade on your computer and see if this solves the issue. This is not supposed to happen but if this solves the issue, then it may be a rare bug there and we should investigate further. That's the first thing to do. I've just had a try and could not reproduce your issue this way, but as I said in my previous message, everyone's pc is different. You can install Envshade on your computer without installing shaders to your sim (just untick the option in Envdir settings).
  11. We don't have any ticket system so it'd be hard to answer to tickets. Help in forum I just told you I was not available last months, I am once again sorry for that but I'm now here. I did not see any post from you on the Envdir support forum. Everything starts but not Envdir, but may be the other things that starts actually conflict with Envdir, as I already said. Google will not help you, I will, if you want to. Now I've answered your questions, I won't again if it's just complaints without constructive answers.
  12. Having a clean install means nothing, I guess you don't have only Envdir installed on your new windows installation. If you're refering to old Envdir versions yes, there was a lot of post about such issues, and yes there was a problem on the app, but it's now solved so I don't know what to answer. I've suggested my help, you know I'm back if you want some help 🤷‍♂️ In all due respect, honestly I've faced so many situations with users who were just on the forum to complain, and when you're trying to help they just keep complaining without bringing the information you need that I will not insist. Unfortunately all developers face such situations and this is sometimes very frustrating when you know that it's often 1% of the users who are just making things looking bad, while 99% are enjoying. As Dan says, our products are supposed to be stable with the latest versions. I said already twice I'm sorry for the lack of support last months, this is sincere, but I won't beat myself in all my answers. Either you want some help and I'm here, or then it's over and we can stop discussing this. I'm looking forward to your message if you want some help.
  13. In all due respect, it's not because a few users from tens of thousands users, still sometimes have issues that it's necessarily caused by Envdir itself, it can be so many things conflicting. We've ran a huge amount of tests, and went through the entire code and nothing could explain those issues. The problem with support forums is that you always see unhappy users, the happy users generally just stay silent and enjoy, and it's completely logic. I don't try to justify anything, but some forum posts here and there do not mean anything. Each pc is different, everyone's running different version of windows, drivers, software etc, and sometimes conflicts happen. Each time we could helped, we've help, appart from the last weeks where I've been absolutely silent, and again I'm sorry about that, I've tried to help as much as I could, and each single time since Envdir is pretty much stable, it was an issue on user's side. Reinstalling our product do not change anything in our files, it just reinstall the same exact things at the same exact place, if it works after several attempts then something conflicted 🤷‍♂️ You can also read many positive reviews about our products, I totally understand your point but whatever you decide, I'm now here to help if you want to. All of our product will be kept updated for future P3D versions and a new Envdir version should be released in a few months (should be much sooner but don't want to make any promise we could possibly not keep)
  14. Hi Bernd, Thanks for your kind words 🙂 Well I actually regularly remove the spam comments and accounts but it's getting crazy, we're having a fight with our hoster which is responsible for this. That's a bit harsh but... I must admit it's not perfect and I regret our move from our old proboards forum but it allowed to get everything in a single place. If our hoster can't solve these spams, then we'll have to look at other solutions.
  15. Hi there, No we're not dead, I've met some issues in my private life, nothing related to health but still important. This affected a lot development and support as we're only two developers working on payware products. I'm sorry for the last few months that were quite poor regarding... well, everything ! We are slowly going back to work full time on our projects and support. Not really, Envshade actually has more tweaks and more dynamic tweaks, but it's less customizable. RDshade is a great piece of software but is totally different in its philosophy, it's closer to what PTA was, while Envshade basically is a click and forget product. Envplus will bring much more customization though when we will finally bring the product to the market (Yes it will happen)
  16. Hello guys, I'm pleased to see that some of you are eager to see what Envplus will be bringing. I'm pretty sure many of you will be pleased to hear what's coming. No it's not simply EA shaders tweaks, it's more than this even if it's part of it 😇 I'm also seeing some users frustrated with some issues here. Guys, I hear you, I perfectly understand you, we are not perfect, nobody is but we're doing our best to provide quality products. When we entered the payware market we wanted to provide quality at low price, it is our philosophy and it will remain our philosophy, it has another cost though: it's pretty hard to bring new developers to the team with these prices, as you already know I'm doing most of the development part and all the support alone, sometimes I don't take time to answer and prefer to focus on solving the issues but it does not mean I am not aware of them and that I'm ignoring them. I'll take a bit of time to answer all of your worries and frustration I've seen on this topic. As already explained in another thread, there are a very small numbers of users affected by this problem. We have reviewed our code tens of times, there is no technical reason for this to happen and we absolutely cannot reproduce it at all. All of our attempts to find the culprit are still waiting for some proper feedbacks, not saying that it's users fault but I'm afraid there's not much we can do until someone affected by the problem is ready to help us to help him/her. I've already answered your question. Envshade is not and cannot make aircraft brighter at night, unless you ask Envshade to do that using the corresponding slider. If the aircraft shadowing slider is still at the default position then please check your P3D HDR brightness is set as recommended in the user manual, if it is, then another modification is creating the problem. Unfortunately, as I already said also on our forum, it's not really possible as brightening only the VC may also affect some exterior parts. As an example: brightening the VC on the Aerosoft A330 will make your engines much brighter in external view, absolutely killing the visual immersion. On the shader side, there's no difference between interior and exterior objects so there is a compromise needed here unfortunately. You will probably tell me that PTA was doing that : yes, there was such an option in PTA, but the possible issues were the same, if we would do that then other users would complain about the brighter external parts, that's an assumed choice from us. As I said as well on the forum, we're looking into the VR single pass sky issue, please realize that sometimes there are tens of topics about the same issue, we can't answer them all without losing time, and there would be no point in doing so if it was already acknowledged. This is also part of our forum rules: check existing non answered topics before posting. I'm actually preparing several versions for you guys to test as we're not VR equipped. In all due respect, Envshade does much much much much more than Bio's free tweaks, it's great he's sharing them but honestly this is not comparable. By the way, Envshade is 5,6€ which pretty far from the 29.99$ you are talking about. I understand your point, that being said you still don't know exactly what Envplus will include. Also, Envshade is a 4 years old product sold at 5.6€, supporting 3 different simulator versions and which receives at least an update every month. As a company how would we survive without new products? EA was far from our thoughts during initial release, customization as well as PTA was already there at that time, development has costs and we must absorb these with sales. Our pricing philosophy will remain fair anyways and existing users will be rewarded for their fidelity 🙂 My main mistake is that I've talked about a new product too early. I thought we would be ready earlier but it was not the case, that's why we usually don't give any date and I should have kept that in mind. You'll have more details very soon though 😉
  17. Agreed, just wanted to advise someone who talked about our products, not to turn this into a support topic I totally understand the frustration here. I am myself a simmer before being a developer, but in all honesty, how would you solve an issue that you can't replicate and that absolutely NOBODY gives feedback when needed? You could not, just like us. Our code is clean, Florian looked after all possibilities, if a CTD happen, it is without any doubt a config problem or a conflict somewhere, but we need the users who are affected by the issue and there's not so many users having issues, most of the time it's due to edited reg keys, antivirus etc. The BIG one, which is not due to known culprits, we can't replicate it and only a few users are affected, as our forum attests to. I'd suggest to follow and post into the topic I sent in my previous post, this would be much more helpful rather than hijacking this topic that is going the wrong way. Hope to see you guys in our forum, I'd be pleased to help there.
  18. Here you go: https://www.togaprojects.com/forum/envdir/envdir-1-3-2-3-don-t-start-after-ubdate/p-2 Envdir and all associated products are not "non-performing" products, it that was the case they would not be part, if not the most, popular texture and shader products for P3D. There are tens of thousands of Envdir working without a single issue. A bug can be caused by millions of things, it does not necessarily means it comes from the product itself. Not that it is users fault, but nobody in the world can expect each single PC specs and configuration, we always solve issues when we can, if you're also affected by a CTD issue, please post on our forum as well 🙂
  19. I'm sorry you're having issues with Envdir, there is a thread on the forum about this, only a very small % of users met this problem that we can't replicate. We're doing our best to solve it, but we can't without you guys. I've posted a test version on the forum, nobody replied, so I guessed this one was the good one. Please post your specs, (windows, simulator(s) etc) on this topic on our forum please 😉 We'll have something soon, yes 🙂
  20. Well, I'm sorry but that's totally wrong. I am the main developer of these products, so I quite know what I am talking about 😅 That's not because PBR was implemented that Envtex and/or Envshade do not work properly anymore. The precipitation effects are enhanced by Envtex on the shader side, so the PBR is absolutely unaffected and perfectly works with Envtex precipitation effects. The same applies for all the other textures. Same thing for Envshade, all these tweaks perfectly work with EA ON. Only the tweaks for legacy sky and clouds do not work with EA (legacy clouds tweaks works perfectly with EA ON + legacy clouds). Envshade still enhances lighting, shadowing, haze, fog, etc even with EA mode. That's why I posted my previous message: many users think Envtex and Envshade do not have anything to bring to EA mode, while it's still compatible and still enhance a lot your sim environment actually.
  21. I'm seeing quite a lot of such statements about Envtex and Envshade when it comes to use them with EA on. Of course, you guys are the deciders and I have nothing to win if you keep using them anyways. That being said, don't forget what Envtex and Envshade does, it's not only about eye candy but also realism. Even with EA on, you'll loose more realistic precipitation effects, dynamic fog colour, sun reflection not bleeding through thick haze, better shadowing depending on weather conditions, dynamic and more realistic aircraft, scenery and terrain lighting, auroras, sun effects (yes also with EA on), better water textures, better waves effects, much better special effects (contrails, water splash for seaplanes, etc etc), airport textures, VRAM optimized textures and I probably forget some of them. As there is no performance impact, I would recommend you guys keep using Envtex and Envshade, even with the latest updates and EA ON, both still have a lot to offer with TrueSky, even more in a close future.
  22. Hi there, Could it be a very low altitude cloud? May be try to use the cloud offset option in AS and see if that helps, as fog is now volumetric I doubt it could be the fog itself otherwise you have discovered a severe bug.
  23. Hello guys, It's been a bit longer than expected but I'm glad to tell you the hotfix has been released and is now available. It fixes the VR single pass issue and should enhance your night experience with main road colors following your feedbacks. About DXGI issues and other instability issues, they're usually caused by the driver, or the settings being too high, or simply the simulator itself, but honestly the changes made by Envshade can't really create such instability issues as long as shader tweaks are basically "simple mathematic formulas converted into code" (it's slightly more complex than this, but from a programmation point of view, it's pretty simple). I can have a look, but once I got P3Dv5 properly set, I didn't get any regular DXGI issue anymore, with or without Envtex and/or Envshade. Hope you guys will enjoy the hotfix !
  24. That's a good catch, I should be able to create a formula that allows this to be automatically compensated depending on the position of this slider in a future update
  25. Hello Guys, I always check here and there after an important update to get all the possible feedbacks, please don't hesitate to send us any constructive feedback on our forum as well, it's always welcome. We are not always that fast to reply to feedbacks, or to make your dreams come true but we always do our best to listen everyone and please as much users as we can and hopefully some user here (who also participated in how our products currently are 😉 ) can confirm this. First of all, thanks you all for the great comments about the new global lighting feature, really glad you guys enjoy it ! About the "floor is lava" at night, well I agree that we have not been able YET to make it as good as it should. There are several reason to this: - HDR in P3Dv5 is still pretty buggy and many variables do not work as expected, we were used to use HDR to help with such things in v3 and v4 but we can't in v5 and this makes things much more complicated - This is also due to how the terrain shader is now implemented in v5, colours are more vibrant and the emissive textures (like cities at night) are also much less bright (This is why it does not look that "red" by default, but it actually is, it's just not as bright) - We are able to compensate this by different ways, but all of them have consequences on other things like snowy terrain (Orbx snowy terrain textures at night are not perfectly black, making them emissive textures as well and they may appear red) so we have to be very careful with these changes - It also depends a lot on your monitor, this is why calibration is always an important factor, the best it to have the color temperature as close as possible from 6500k, but the gamma is also very important, that's why it may look different from one user to another, but that's true with any simulator, any game, any program, video or picture. With that said, by reading the posts above about this, a new idea to compensate the lava floor at night iumped to my mind. The good news is that it seems to work pretty well so if it works properly after a few hours of testing today, this should be available as a hotfix very quickly 🙂 Happy flights ! Here is a before/after at Toronto for this possible hotfix:
