Thanks guys, I will try another flight this evening. fly safe

Hi everyone, I am at eg. FL380 and 2 Min. Before TOD I change ALT to next way point ALT. Am I supposed to left click the ALT knob at TOD? The reason I asked is because the aircraft does not descend at TOD, it just keeps flying level. I am following the tutorial and it does not mention if I’m supposed the left click the ALT knob or not. What do you guys do? Thanks for any help. fly safe

I run a 4770K (OC 4.4GHz) with a 980TI SLI. P3dv4.1 runs really well for me. As Dan mentioned "you will need to balance performance and quality" is key. Fly safe

Desparately need help with P3D not starting
mokeiko replied to Rocky_53's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Hey Ross, I have the same issue with the Saitek Trim Wheel as well. I have to activate it just by moving the wheel on the Windows desktop before staring P3d. If I don't, any bump on the table will cause me to lose mouse control and a ding on the background repeatedly. I couldn't figure it out at first but then it came to me by accident. Perhaps Howard is suffering from the same thing. Fly safe -
Changing approach - VNAV will not engage
mokeiko replied to pinepix62's topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Try not starting from a saved profile. After takeoff and reached set altitude (ex. FL270), set VNAV profile. Never set VNAV the same time as setting up waypoints/Flight plan. Fly safe -
Changing approach - VNAV will not engage

Please don't take this as an insult but did you reset your altitude when trying both times? I made this mistake before. Fly safe -
Hi Bryon, Do we have to uninstall first, then re-install the latest update? Or can we install over the existing install? Thanks Fly safe

I believe the engines have to be off and the doors open before you can stow the pins. Also check the front wheel gear to make sure you don't see the pin with the red flag. Someone correct me if I'm out of line here. Fly safe

Hey Chris, Yes, just hit save. Fly safe

Majestic Dash 8 Q400 coming October 23 for P3D v4

Thanks for the heads up Jose, Fly safe -
"Incredible still we don't have blurring surfaces in the windshield with DX11 on P3D and we still have the FS9 rain textures back again. Rain Fx (blurry vision) is very important as with it you have to fly the aircraft IFR instead VFR.. and that is not only nice visuals, but simulation. Don't understand how Dovetail achieved a decent (not perfect) rain, but Lockheed still give us this awfull texture." Totally agree, it does look really bad.

PMDG 737 NGX Expansion Pack for P3Dv4 ?
mokeiko replied to joepoway's topic in PMDG 737NGX | 737NGXu
"Ok so what you're implying is that in the last 10 days there is a new 737 NGX base pack that has a different version number than the one I loaded 10 days ago that doesn't match the expansion pack I downloaded 2 days ago." Yes fly safe -
Yes

"I just like the professional feeling and immersion this tool gives to my hobby" The same reason I use Foreflight as well. By the way, nice setup you have there Thomas. "Foreflight Worth It?" OP, as for being worth it, it's entirely subjective and your money. It's worth it for my needs. fly safe

P3D v3.4 HF3 performance issue with SLI
mokeiko replied to tarmyniatur's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
"Whether the improvement on YOUR system would be worth the extra $$ - only you can make that call" I totally agree with this. For the $700 more (at the time) that it cost me to get an extra 980ti, it wasn't worth it. "Says you. Pretty arrogant to suggest that anyone that disagrees with you or who has been able to make SLI work where you have not is "fooling themselves." Not being arrogant at all. OP was the first person I responded to, don't know where you got that "Anyone that disagrees with you" statement. I have SLI "working". Says you, Pretty arrogant of you to make that conclusion as well. OP found out the hard way as me, just reinforcing what he now already knows. Let's see you convince him that keeping that $400 plus card is worth it. Just trying to help him salvage some money back. "Honestly, fps is a flawed measure of performance in many scenarios. I use a 30Hz 4K display, locked with vsync" Nobody cares what you use it for, that is not what the OP uses so your point is moot. My response was based on what he needs SLI for. Not really difficult to understand. Another user used to use 2 Titans in SLI and went back to one, hmmm I wonder why? Fly safe -
P3D v3.4 HF3 performance issue with SLI
mokeiko replied to tarmyniatur's topic in The Prepar3d Forum
Olivier, SLI does not improve anything in FSX or P3d. SLI improves other games like BF, etc. Anyone that tells you otherwise is fooling themselves and trying to justify wasting their money on another graphics card purchase. On the other hand, If you use your PC for other games then only you can decide if the expense of an additional graphics card is worth it. Flightims need CPU power. I was so disappointed when I went SLI for flightsim based on users here touting it the holy grail for SGSS with many clouds in the scenery, what a joke. Like you, I found out the hard way. Non SLI brought greater FPS and a more smoother experience. Fly safe. -
