  1. Looking ok here with the same addons. Maybe an issue with mesh?
  2. Nice, and probably fps friendlier than Photogrammetry. A comparison of both with the performance data would be interesting.
  3. I don't think that it does that for me. Let's take an example: I'd like to visit Roatan or St. Barth one day. Now, while the MSFS depiction of the islands is very nice (Roatan with a mod), it does not inspire me more than what I see on videos or google earth pictures of the real thing. What the sim can do though, is help relive moments of places I visited and liked, or places where I had a home in previous times.
  4. Working fine here. Could it be that there is another key binding active for that key combo?
  5. I reckon that will never be possible. Like with other "word not allowed" experiences, there is no better thing as the real deal. Now, flying a bushplane over Alaska as a pilot may be unachievable for me. but virtual travel cannot substitute for a physical trip to a place. I you were to invent a holodeck, we can speak again. 😃
  6. Seems to work perfectly. Thanks again.
  7. Wow, that's what I call stellar support. Thanks a lot.
  8. Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone knows something about the likelihood of that tool coming to MSFS. With the arrival of water effects and more seaplanes, the new sim may become increasingly interesting for seaplane pilots and that tool is quite essential for "parking" them. Blue skies to all.
  9. Done. Interesting initiative, thanks for that. Just wanted to add here that real travel is essential for me and I will continue pursuing it as long as it is doable.
  10. Great news. You mean the thumbnail in the subfolder under ContentInfo? It is named carbonprop-xcub-cargo and even with the thumbnail, it is still shown as a wheels version in the aircraft menu. EDIT: I thought that the thumbnails need to go into the texture folder. Still no luck.
  11. Yep, I found it in the update queue. Now it's downloading.
  12. And prices seem to go up even more. Just wondering what I would do if my current card died.
  13. This might be helpful: https://www.littlenavmap.org/manuals/littlenavmap/release/2.4/en/WEBSERVER.html
  14. Me too, but I don't love it. Useless to continue here, as the number of fans massively outnumbers the ones which see it at as an unfinished project which is managed by an unorganized team. The majority is right, so keep on loving it.
  15. Negative here. Same issue, sim starting from scratch, with or without any entries in the community folder.
  16. After deleting and reinstalling the gaming service the other profiles show up again. At least they can be chosen again now.
  17. That's an acknowledged new bug which came up during the night as it seems. Has a thread of its own. Good to see that you are a happy camper. I am not, and I started as an Alpha tester, MSFS was better in Alpha 3 than it is now, but that's just my personal opinion.
  18. As I said, to each his own. Fidelity of scenery is great with MSFS. For me that is just not enough. Today the settings were lost again. Everyday there is a new annoyance. And so, sometimes but not rarely, I go back to an old sim which is nicely tuned and does exactly what I expect.
  19. That's the reason, why the other sims will continue to have customers. It will take years to complete the missing pieces of MSFS and by then, new technology may have pushed the others forward as well. When there are "thank you Asobo" posts I often see that the author is rather new to simming. So to each his own, I come to MSFS daily but mostly shut it down saying to myself that it is just not ready.
  20. I found it through the pricefinder portal idealo, the company would by cyberport. But I agree, it's way too much for a 10GB card.
  21. BTW: Just checked and a RTX 3080 is available in 3-4 days here in Germany for 1800 EUR. 3090's go up to 3000 EUR.
  22. I am running an old 7700K at stock frequency with a 2070S. 4K monitor but scaled at 80 for MSFS. Riva Tuner at scanline x/2 -1 and the result is 30fps unless over high density cities. It is not perfect but it does the job. Next upgrade will be a new mobo plus CPU and RAM. GPU when the supply is getting back to normal again.
  23. Thanks, I see the watermask. I had probably expected more variation and colors. And the baked in boats and hotel pontoons in the lagoon are not immersion friendly. Hopefully, there will be addons available in the future for such iconic locations.
  24. Sorry, disagree. Looks not at all as it should. These are just light green spots where in reality you have multiple shades of color.
  25. Did a few test flights. Watermasks Polynesia: Still way off reality. London: Very nice details but a slideshow on a 2070S with clear skies. UK Cornwall countryside: Nice but no visible difference to the earlier version. GPU usage seems to be lower than before. Will try cranking up the details slider a bit. Quick verdict: Nothing broken but nothing to write home about either. YMMV.
