  1. +1 FWIW, I usually get an email notification of updates for most (if not all) of the add ons i've purchased from them.....👍
  2. Pose your questions at their forum as I suggested. All I can tell you is that I installed both the AIG AIM and the SODE module using the default method, that is to say, when I installed these, I let them install where the programs chose to by default, I didn't make any changes to the installation paths. Both are working fine for me is all I can tell you.
  3. Thanks. In the AVSIM library, or...??
  4. AIG=Alpha India Group. OCI="One Click Installer" AIM=AI Manager...ie. the core AI software. Basically it injects AI traffic in to your sim. For more info and links to downloads etc.. check here.... https://www.alpha-india.net/ Register at the site for forum access, they'll answer all your questions...🙂
  5. +1 on LatinVFR KMIA, I had forgotten about that one, but you are right, it's a fine scenery add on, and KMIA ranks about #5 in the rankings for US cargo hubs as I recall.
  6. Does anyone offer a decent rendition of the KPBI Palm Beach International airport for P3D v4...?? The only one i'm aware of is the FSXSCENERY (aka "Scenery Builders") scenery available at Simmarket, which frankly is only marginally better than the default, and I wouldn't waste my money on it.. KPBI is a pretty good sized international airport along Florida's Atlantic coast, not very far north of both KFLL and KMIA, so i'm a bit surprised that some good developer hasn't tackled this one....😕
  7. FWIW, i've always purchased from them with a credit card, I do know they offer a PayPal option, but I didn't realize some people were having issues with it...
  8. I have FSDT's KSDF, it's very nice, I can recommend it. I have KDFW as well, also very nice. KMEM is obviously a huge cargo hub, but in an earlier thread I started there were quite a few users that mentioned it can be hard on performance. See the thread here for more info... Hope this helps.
  9. +1 I've purchased dozens of add ons from Simmarket over the years, and have never had any issues or complaints, so i'm not really sure what the problem is here.
  10. Pretty much the same experience here except that my Nvidia Driver isn't quite as up to date as yours.
  11. All functions of the QW 787 doors/ext power popup are working fine for me.
  12. Just installed this and it's working perfectly. A big tip of the hat to HiFi for getting this out so quickly...👍 I almost never fly without AS running, my poor sim feels naked without it....😁
  13. Same here regarding v4.5, so I was nervous about applying this hotfix, but all went well, no issues that i've noted thus far, and I believe i'm seeing a slight, but nevertheless apparent increase in frame rates overall. FWIW, I did the client only update, the content and scenery were left as they were after the original v4.5 installation.
  14. Pete, you can do the full installer, or just the client, which apparently addresses the quote, "performance issues seen on some systems and configurations" according to the hotfix page at LM.
  15. Since you apparently prefer FSX Steam, why does this even matter to you....😏
  16. Given that I wasn't having any performance issues with going from v4.4 to v4.5 i'm a little reluctant to install this so called "hotfix", I think i'm going to wait and see what the results are for people who weren't having issues with v4.5 after installing this fix. One thing I did notice at the hotfix page is it says "The Prepar3D v4.5 update will require you to reactivate your product" which seems odd because I didn't have to re-activate after installing the first v4.5 client...
  17. Mmmm... A tongue in cheek Leek.... Sounds delicious...😁
  18. Very nice Stefan! Any impact on frame rates..?? Not that the Vcol A220 cockpit was hard on frames to begin with, i'm just curious.
  19. Leek (noun) :A biennial garden herb (Allium porrum synonym A. ampeloprasum porrum) of the lily family that is commonly grown as an annual for its mildly pungent succulent linear leaves and especially for its thick cylindrical stalk.......🤣
  20. Not here. That's odd because VC is typically the big frame hit.
  21. Poorly regarded...?? That's news to me, but whatever... As for the part about "endless pages of options", at least as it relates to AS4, that's just not how it is at all, at least IMHO it isn't. Yes, there are some options available if you choose to use them, but they are by no means required, and you can easily just run it with the default settings and options, and it will provide an exceptionally satisfying experience. If you are happy using the freeware FSXWX, then by all means, continue to do so.
  22. I would be interested to know that as well. Arghh. David answered while I was posting this.. Thanks David..
  23. Just curious, but what airport scenery is that in the pic David..?? I'm guessing KSAN maybe...?
  24. I think a lot of this comes down to your individual needs and personal tastes, but I do agree, REX offers a bewildering array of products, and it does get a little confusing trying to understand what does what, and how they interact with each other, as well as other add on's like PTA etc. I currently use REX4TD+SC, AS4, and PTA, and i'm very happy with they way they look, interact, and operate in my particular sim setup, and for my needs and tastes. To a certain extent, I try to apply the "KISS" principle with these.. With REX4TD+SC i'll change up the cloud, sky color, sun, and water types and textures every so often, just to keep it interesting and introduce a somewhat different look, but I often fly for months at a time without making any changes. I have a fairly minimal set of tweaks applied in PTA v2.66, and virtually never mess with these. I have tried a few of the "presets" that are available, but I always end up going back to my "self developed" preset, as it is well adapted to my needs and tastes. The same pretty much applies to AS4, I just start it up at the beginning of a simming session and let it load the real world weather for the current location i'm flying in, and I have only very minor changes made in the settings and options etc. I'm sure the various other REX products are excellent and work well, but i'm quite satisfied with what i've got running for the time being, and i'm in no particular hurry to change anything.
  25. Thanks for the heads up vcarlo...😎 I can confirm that the hotfix has resolved the control lock issue, at least for me it has. I think it's a credit to the QW team that they've addressed some of these issues in a very short time...
