First off I want to say that this worked for me but may not for you! We all struggle with micro stutters sometime or another but it seems no matter what we try there is always a flashback now or then. Last week I read that someone tried a program called “Process Lasso”, I wanted to believe that this would work but I had my doubts. I have been using every tip and trick to get past the stutters that has surfaced here on Avsim and I thought I could do no more, well I was wrong. Let me say that I was amazed at the results with Process Lasso. Try it yourself; I hope you are as happy as I am. The first time I tried it the results were not much different than what I had but after seeing a youtube video on how to set the parameters of the program I am shocked at the results. The video is by our own Captain K-man I did try his settings but the results for me were ok but not much better, but he even says that you should test different settings and that is what I did, WOW. My system is a 5930k and I assigned 2,3 6-11 for P3dv3.1 All my addons as in Track iR5, ProAtcx, etc. are assigned to 0,1 4,5 Everything else not associated with Windows, Microsoft and System were assigned to 0,1 4,5 Test flight is a flight I could never get past TOD without VAS issue, (Drezwiecki Design) KLGA to CYYZ (FlyTampa) with NGX, ProATC X, Track iR5 Once I finally settled on the setup I made the flight without any issue and smooth as can be, I was excited, but then I decided to try a return flight to KLGA and I was then amazed that I did complete the flight, truly amazed. I've had to reinstall the software and upon install, I select simulator to "Prepar3d" but when i create a flightplan and select fly now a box opens and says "Cannot connect to FSX". I think I am missing the simconnect file to use, I have been to the developer website and I have only found the network simconnect file, and I have posted on there forum but I have not received any reply's as of yet. Any help would be appreciated, thank you

Steve - Just a quick update on the AM discussion you and I had last week by PM when I asked about my new 5930 build. Motherboard: Rampage V Extreme Processor: 5930K Memory (part number): G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 3000C15Q-16GRR Graphics Card #1: Titan Graphics Card #2: Titan CPU Cooler: Kraken X61 Case: R5 OC to 4.5MHz 67deg while in full load I did try your suggestion of AM 340 vs 212 and yes it did exactly what you had said. I was able to test KLAX to KSFO, Orbx Southern California, Dreamteam KLAX and FlightBeam KSFO-HD, MyTraffic6 set at 10% and P3dv3.1 Building Storms weather. PMDG 737 I did a day flight and also a Dusk to Dark flight, at cruise level 12000ft Results were good, NO Vas issues, No crashes and No problems. 4K @30htz Ground frame rates were 15-20 no stutters. In air frame rates were steady 20 and up and no stutters. Considering ORBX Southern California and KLAX and KSFO are hard hitting on frames I was very happy with the results... Thank you, Nick

I thought .01 is a finer or more difficult on the GPU to attain, am I wrong?

Lee - I agree with you as I did the same as I used Airport Design Editor from fsdeveloper. Rays scenery worked great for FSX but problems with taxiways in P3. I also added additional buildings and other things and added more water tanks around KROC as I base most of my flights into and out of KROC and KBUF (FLYTAMPA)

Thanks for the reply.I did as you said, I registered to the forum yesterday and I just tried to open the link that you posted and I received a message that states that either the Board is missing or I do not have privileges to view the board. IO must have done something wrong,What did I do wrong?

Yesterday I just downloaded ProAtc X for the first time and did a flight from KLAX to KSFO and I had the same thing happen to me at TOD. P3dv3 crashed and ProAtc still was active. Being new to ProAtc software I was without clue of what had happened. I hope I can figure out what caused this.

1. What you need to is pick the process tab 2. Click the memory (private Working set)label and sort High to Low 3. Look at the list of process that are running and watch to see if any of these numbers climb up and down. Those are the programs and items that are running in the background which can cause stutters. Be careful as some items cannot be stopped.

Hi Chris - Yes I do own NY and also California and Florida at this time and they reside in V2. I would like to update them into V3 as I will delete V2 eventually. I was also hoping you would create different regions combining many states and called them as an example, "The Northeast" etc.

Dario - This is not P3d, I am sure it is something running in the background. W6kd and Vgbaron are correct, I know as I chased this anomaly for quite a while in v2.5 before I found my issue. This is exactly what I did to locate my stutter. 1. I loaded the NGX and just sat at the gate or runway and waited until I was sure the stutters were regular and annoying. 2. This next step takes time but is a must to do, just as w6kd said, CTRL-ALT-DELETE and run the task manager with CPU usage sorted high to low...then watch the task manager for a process that pops up near the top of the task manager list in sync with the stutters. Remember this takes time to do! 3. Once you identify the processes that are constantly starting up and then stopping on a regular basis you will need to go back and forth between P3 and Task manager shutting down the process and re-evaluating. My issue was a backup hard drive that was plugged into a USB hub... Good Luck Nick

Any news on a installer for Majestic Dash8 Q400

Well all is well again, I think I found the cure. I began by testing the default aircrafts and they performed normal. I then checked my installed aircrafts and I also found an additional install I did not mention earlier, Carenado Phenom 100. Deleted QW146 and Carenado Phenom 100 and everything returned back to normal. The A2A and Skymaster are all running correctly. Thank you all for your suggestions.

Vic - Thanks for the link, just read it and I have more testing to do again this weekend. This morning I remembered I tried to install the QW146 that does not have a v3 installer and has issues with it. I think I will begin by checking the default aircrafts for the issue. Then I will begin by removing the 146, both A2A and Skymaster aircrafts and the FISUPC addon and start over with the NGX and Twin Otter and see what happens. If the issue is still there the Otter will be removed next.

Forcing the rudder does not work, thank you The A2A aircraft both the 172 1nd the Cherokee have V3 installers, the Skymaster installs with no issue by asking where to install. In fact the Sky master was installed first, before the A2A planes and I am almost sure I did take a test flight to insure all was ok and I remember that it flew straignt at that time. Good point, I will check a default plane out tonight. This is a really good point as I loaded FSUIPC 4.947c also but I am not sure if it was before the skymaster or not. No weather was added.

I finally had time to load and test P3dV3 and I am quite impressed on how smooth it runs. I managed to load NGX and as always a dream to fly. MT6 loaded fine. But I am having extreme issues with all three of these; A2A-172, Cherokee, and Carenado 337 Skymaster. I am not sure what happened but all of these are not flyable. They all pull hard right down the runway and then also on climb. I also installed Twin Otter Extended before them and I did not have any issues but I forgot to test the Otter once again after installing the others. I have tried to correct the issues by unchecking Gyro and also setting the controls to easy mode and still they pull hard! I also deleted and installed them 2 or 3 times with the new A2A installer and still no Joy. Also I am using a joystick and no yoke Any help will be appreciated. Nick

Strange, I had updated the FSUIPC just before I installed the 146, maybe I should reinstall it again.
