  1. I've used the Backup/Restore for the following - in my opinion legit -reason: when I discovered that the TextGauge en StreamGauge keys did not work anymore (the other keys did work) I thought I could get them back working by first deleting my old installed AAO version (2.60 b32) and second installing the actual version (3.60 b20). Before doing this I've made of course a backup of my database (profiles), in the confidence that after installing 3.60 b20 and restoring the database from this backup, my profiles are active again. I would say this is a logic procedure. But now you are saying that using Backup/Restore is not needed and that you just install a new AAO version "över "the old one. Further you say that the backup feature is only intended as a safeguard. However, there are also examples of software that you have to delete completely before re-installing with a newer version. Moreover, in the AAO Documentation nothing is said how to deal with a backup of your database or with an update of AAO. So if I had just installed 3.60 b20 over 2.60 b32 I still would have had my profiles active? I've tried to get my profiles back via the Backup/Restore procedure starting from installing 2.60 b32 again (after de-installing 3.60 b20 again) because my backup was made on the base of 2.60 b32. But restoring that backup in 2.60 did not help either, the same as on the base of 3.60 b20. "So what is the current status": after installing 3.60 b30, AAO works; for testing I've installed a profile of C172 from you on Flightsim.to and the keys on the Stream Deck, included the TextGauge and StreamGauge keys, are working. Also the ports are correctly matched. The only annoying - but important - issue is that I cannot retrieve my custom made profiles.
  2. Lorby_SI, I don't understand your remark that the old database will not work. How can it be that updates should have effect on former (backups of your) databases? I've read all release notes (from 2.51 to 3.51) and there is no information in it that after installing newer releases, it effects your database or restoring your former database would be troublesome. If so, it is too important not to mention. What can I do? Is there some kind of workaroud to get the xml files of the backup folder to communicate again with AAO, without the - not working - procedure Tools/Restore database from backup?
  3. I've managed at last to install the 3.60 b32 (don't ask me how; I think it's because I had accidentally two accounts at SimMarket that probably causes the mixed up). Next, I've configured the WebAPI port to 43380 and the WebFIP port to 43280 (according to guidelines in changelog AAO version 3.20). For testing purposes I've made a simple textgauge (EGT in celsius) as a Default Profile in the Stream Deck and it worked correctly in several aircraft. However, new problem: I tried to restore my database from the backup I've made earlier: I've followed the next procedure: Tools/Restore database from backup / file AxisandOhs_DB_Backup_xxxxxxxx.zip / Open. After message: "This will overwrite your current database! Are you sure that you want to do this?" Yes. Next message: Backup <C\Users\(my name)\Documents\LorbyAxisandOhs Files\AxisAndOhs_DB-Backup_xxxxx.zip> has been restored, shutting down now / OK Then I close AAO and Stream Deck (via Task Manager / End Task). After restarting AAO, Stream Deck and MSFS: clcking on my already excisting profiles on front page of Stream Deck: no single button on the Stream Deck becomes active. Ive checked the content of the backup zip file and the .xml files are there:
  4. Problem is that SimMarket where I've bought AAO has only version 2.60 on their website. That turned out to be when I download and install the file "LorbyAxisAndOhs_Install_MSFS.exe" on their present website.
  5. Lorby_SI, when you load AAO for MSFS yourself, what version number is visible in the top left corner of AAO? Does it match with my install version: "2.60b20 - MSFS 2021 LWR inc.")?
  6. 1. I've downloaded Stream Deck plugin_30_03.zip, pulled it out of the ZIP, double clicked it; next I get the same message from Stream Deck, already reported, that "This custom action is already installed". So updating Stream Deck plugin is useless. 2. Updating AAO: I've bought AAO from SimMarket: where it is present as file: Axis and Ohs v3 FSX P3D MSFS 3.60 build 32"". I've downloaded this file and installed it. The file is called: "LorbyAxisAndOhs_Install_MSFS.exe" but it has no file version. Result: on top of installed AAO it says: version 2.60b20" (already reported). This is the only file available on SimMarket for AAO MSFS: see printscreen, file for MSFS is at the bottum: . 3. I've checked the port settings: Tools/Port settings for Web/WebFIBs: port 8080 and WebAPI port 43380 Tools/Port settings for AAO Addon/Stream Deck Plugin --> IP local host port 43380 4. I've checked that Stream Deck is connected with AAO: Event keys, Toggle keys, On/Off keys and SliderGauges for different aircraft are all working EXCEPT SteamGauge and TextGauge keys.
  7. I've downloaded StreamDeck plugin 29_01 on your website"for updating this plugin. When installing I get the following message: It says also that this plugin requires AAO v3.20 or later but when I bought AAO it was version 2.60 b20 and I cannot find v3.20 on your website. Your website"(only) says: "requires AAO 3.51 or later! (last updated 03.10.2023)
  8. TextGauges and SteamGauges of AAH suddenly do not work anymore (Events still work). Clicking on the gauges in the Stream Deck, the variables show white lines. When clicking on these lines, the variables are showing their content. Save changes (Submit Alt+S) does not do anything. It's a riddle to me. .
  9. Thank you for your answer; it's just the learning curve that I've to get through to master AAO...😉
  10. Here are some Youtube videos of the scripts that I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sgEb1XyA-e4 at 06:29 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLKos1eJF0o at 02.44 Further, it still puzzles me that the checkbox under "Tools/Port settings for AAO Addon/Web API Definition in associated modules/StreamDeckPlugin" is ticked (only possible when Stream Deck is not running) and that same check mark of the Stream Deck Plugin in AAO under Web API Definition suddenly disappears at the very moment that you start the Stream Deck app. Is that normal?
  11. Hold on, I now understand what you are saying. On the Stream Deck screen (the app on my pc) I've dragged the "Reset Connection" (on the right as part of the AAO menu) to an empty slot ('square/knob") on the Stream Deck and this knob turns green so the Stream Deck can send data to AAO. But my question is, why have I still an blank Assigned Axis and an blank Assigned Button screen on Stream Deck though on YouTube instruction videos this screen is always filled with scripts? For explanation of my question: I've loaded your scripts and profile of the Cessna C172 and they work in MSFS pressing the knobs on the Stream Deck (the device on my desk). But in this case I would expact that the Assigned Axis and/or Assigned Button screen on AAO would show the scripts of the C172, which they do not. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
  12. Lorby_Sl, I try to understand what you say but I don't get it: I cannot find the "Reset Connection" action from the AAO plug in; under the tabs Application, Gauges, Scripting, Templates, Hardware, Tools and Extras there is no "Reset Connection" action button or something like that. And how do I pull the Reset Connection action (whatever this means) to "an empty slot" on the Stream Deck? What do you mean bij an empty slot and where can I find this?
  13. Hi Lorby-Si, I executed your instructions as mentioned above in the former email answers exactly, however the following happens: first I start AAO and under "Tools/Port settings for AAO Addon/Web API Definition in associated modules/StreamDeckPlugin" de checkbox is ticked. So that's okay. But next at the moment when I start the Stream Deck app, that check mark of the Stream Deack Plugin in AAO under Web API Definition in associated modules, suddenly disappears! In that case the Assigned Button screen in AAO stays blank and the + button does not react. So apparently there is still no connection between AAO and Stream Deck? Please advice.
  14. Correction: see sentence "and when reaching the cruise altitude of 3000ft": I mean off course 2000ft...😁
  15. Airernie, your question triggered the solution: when I opened the saved flightplan (EDDT-EDUF), the Flightplan Dock window shows under tab Plan 3.500 ft VFR. Till now I flew this trip at 3.000ft not realizing the 3.500ft showing in the flightplan (I did not set that altitude in the flightplan myself, it was just there believe it or not). Well just to make sure, I've made a new flightplan and now I set a choosen altitude of 2000ft in the Flightplan Dock Window tab Plan. Started the A/C, clicked Collect Performance for flight and took off. First the flightplan window shows the climb segment and when reaching 1.900 ft approaching the cruise altitude of 3000ft, the cruise segment appeared in the flight plan window (!) and then the descent segments (hurrah). The reason that the performance information stopped when I was in climb segment (in the 3.000ft-scenario) will be that when flying I did not reach the 3.500ft altitude of the flightplan for cruise. I flew in fact only at 3.000 ft. So I think LNM is only triggered to go in the next segment (descent) when you first have flown your cruise altitude of 3500ft according to the flight plan. Sometimes solutions are for the taking...thanks (and Alex) for your help.
  16. Okay, let's get this straight: flight plan was not missing, despite cruise altitude. I've made another flightplan in LNM, in my case (but is does not really matter) a VFR flight from EDDT (Tegel) to EDUF (Lonnewitz): 61 nm, DCT. A/C: a Cessna 172. I've activated Edit Aircraft Performance. After starting up and take-off, aircraft tab of flightplan window shows the climb segment (so far so good...).Then when the climb is finished and I continue at cruise altitude of 3000ft, no cruise performance info is collected or shown. So for clarity: I've loaded a flightplan in LNM and in the flightplanner of FSX, the flightplan is visible in the GPS of the A/C and is active, but as I've already said in my earlier mails: the performance information does only show the climb segment and that is all. It just does not work: why?
  17. I've found out that when opening an aircraft performance file to get it visible, the file being visible is only possible when you have loaded a flightplan. That is why - I suppose - I did not succeed so far to get the loaded performance file of an aircraft visible (see my earlier mails). Do you recognize this? I suggest you do the same as I did (without loading a flight plan) then you will not see the content of a loaded performance file. Another issue: I've tried to run "Collect Performance for Flight" with a Cessna 172 from the very beginning to the very end (typical flight). However the performance information, when collecting, is stuck in the climb segment. No further information after the climb segment appears. When I'm cruising that segment does not show, neither the descent and landing segment. The only thing I see is that in the climb segment the foot per minute descent rate digit decreases and that is all. After touchdown and engine shutoff LNM does not switch to the default fuel report mode. What could be the reason that the performance collecting process stops in the climb segment?
  18. I've made a new aircraft performance for the Cessna 172 and saved it. So next, above the Toolbar I click Aircraft /Open aircraft performance. A new screen appears in which I choose "Cessna 172.Inmperf", I click Open but nothing happens: no screen of the Cessna 172 Aircraft performance appears.
  19. It's not the same like in MS Word. In MS Word after clicking "New Document", an empty document appears on your screen (to fill out). When I click "New Aircraft Performance" I don't get a new empty document (which is supposed to appear on my screen, I presume) at all. So, still no empty aircraft performance document visible to fill in a new performance for a new aircraft (apart from your editing tip). Cees
  20. When I click "Aircraft" in the top of the toolbar a little menu appears, when I choose and click on "New Aircraft Performance" (to create a new performance for a new aircraft) no screen appears to fill in. What to do?
