  1. Also waiting for the PC-12 to be fixed before I buy another SWS plane. I would have thought that the rudder / aileron interlink would made it easier to fly coordinated but SWS went the other way.😟
  2. There is a recommendation in the manual tp turn on autorudder (page 12). From my experience some uncoordinated rudder inputs could result in a roll. Just a thought.
  3. My understanding is that MSFS generates the weather based on METAR reports. It has no way of knowing what the actual instantaneous weather looks like at different points and directions at any airport.
  4. Had the same experience. There is a change you can do to a config file that disables the rudder - aileron link, then SPAD works fine but I think that may cause some other problems, so I also reverted to MSFS assignments. PS. Got the condition lever to work using SPAD.
  5. Finally got my controllers working properly for the PC-12 (see earlier posts). I had a problem that the PC-12 would not pick up up my rudder peddles without me disabling the interconnect in a configuration file. I finally found that I had a duplicate assignment of my rudder peddles (no other add-on was effected by this). When I removed the duplicate assignment, I finally got independent control of the rudder in the plane. Now I finally managed to do some acceptable landings in the PC-12.😁
  6. Thanks for the feedback. I don't have the Bravo quadrant and the default MSFS assignments did not work for me, maybe there is a conflict somewhere in my setup. Your reply did however motivate me to dig a bit deeper and I finally found a variable that works (LVAR:ENGINE_Lever_Condition_1). Now I don't have to move around in the cockpit to get to the condition lever with my mouse. Strange that they would use different variables variables between the Kodiak and the PC-12.
  7. I am having the same problem (not using the Bravo though). I set up the ATR and Kodiak perfectly on my TM quadrant but I can not find any axis / variable that results in any movement of the condition lever in the PC-12 using SPAD or FSUIPC. What variable are you using?
  8. Not sure where those values must go. The any settings where I get some sort of reaction is by using these setting. https://pinepix.co.za/piwigo/upload/2023/12/28/20231228221204-c7773d39.jpg I only know some basics of SPAD 😟
  9. Tried this in SPAD but I can only get half the range (center to full right) - Giving up.
  10. I used this edit to the model.cfg file but have no idea how it effects the flight model as the rudder and ailerons are interconnected IRL
  11. Thanks for the information. Is there an L_var value I can use for the condition lever?
  12. I got the reverse thrust lever sorted by assigning a separate axis for reverse, but can not find any axis setting to get the condition lever assigned. The other issue I had is that my rudder peddles would not work. Finally found a setting in the model.cfg file that enabled the rudder peddles but I am not sure what the on effect the flight model is since the rudder and ailerons are connected IRL.
  13. I trust that you are right. I like the Kodiak and thought that that would have been a good learning experience for the developer and based on that I was looking forward to the PC-12. Will have to wait I guess I flew 12 circuits with the Comanche just now to confirm that I can still do some good cross wind landings. 😄
  14. Installed the new version with the TDS GTN and took off with high hopes. Autopilot in Heading mode seemed more stable but after about 10 min the Autopilot went bonkers and the plane was all over the place, thought it was turbulence but when I disengaged the AP the plane was smooth and steady. Thought the landings would be better with the mods to the flight model but even with no wind the plane was sliding / yawing all over the place on finals approach. Tried with YD on or off, could not see any difference. Was hoping for much better based on my experience the SWS Kodiak. Waste of money, back to the hanger and out comes the trusty A2A Comanche.
  15. I found the culprit, I disabled the SWS Okavango Delta package and now my flight loads in 30 seconds. This package adds some animals and lodges in the Okavango delta but there must be some serious problems with the coding in order to put such a load on the system. Guess I will have to fly without the eye candy. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
  16. Flying from FACT - No problem at all. Will have to try some more airports.
  17. Read some comments that the major issues with the PC-12 has been sorted and I decided to add it to my hanger. I know that the aileron and rudder functions are interconnected and maybe I missed something but my rudders are not working at all (CH pro peddles). If have seen RW videos where the pilot steers the plane with the rudder peddles and you van see the yoke move due to the interconnect but the only way I can steer the plane or have any rudder function is to use the yoke. The toe brakes work but it does not seem to be animated. Is this the normal behavior in the sim or how can I activate the normal rudder function from my hardware. All my calibration and setup of the rudder and brakes are done using standard MSFS assignments. It just does not feel right to steer the plane on the ground with the yoke. Best Regards.
  18. Hi am experiencing very long load times for third party aircraft I installed recently (both the ATR and the SWS PC-12) Even loading from a default airport with no complex scenery (FBMN - Maun) it takes 12 minutes to load the flight from the screen where you select the aircraft and the airport. The CPU usage is also very high during this entire period. The other aircraft I have I have in my hanger takes less than a minute to load. This is very frustrating. I am running a I7 - 12700K with 32GB RAM and a RTX 3080 Ti, so there is more than enough power. The aircraft are stored on a separate drive than MSFS (both SSD drives) Once the aircraft is loaded everything is fine and CPU usage drops to normal levels. Any advise where I could start looking for the cause of this problem.
  19. Had my Credit card ready but I guess I will give it some more time....
  20. I just want to make sure, maybe I missed it. Does the new SR22 completely replace the original version. I tried the original one when the sim was just released but then moved on to larger turboprops and twins. I thought it would be treated as separate model. I want to give the new model a try again but I can only find one SR22 in my hanger.
  21. I logged a request with the support team and they suggested the following: Thank you for contacting Microsoft Flight Simulator Support today. Go to your Sim installation location and manually delete all the files associated with the package and try again. All marketplace content can be found inside "Official" folder. I had no idea where to find the offending files but when I tried to run the update again just now it worked just fine. I suspect that the problem was on the MS side.
  22. I am trying to install some updates but the content manager keeps resetting itself before the update is complete and then starts from scratch again. 🤬
  23. My experience is that the native V5.x vector data is on par with what was available in ORBX vector in terms of coastlines and roads. My biggest gripe with ORBX vector is that the excluded steams (Small rivers). I fly mostly in the southern African regions where the are very few large rivers and without steams there is not much left.
