  1. I think this is now the release version. I like the steam gauges but am disappointed that it does not support alternative GPS units (like the C310, clearly they know how to do it). It looks like flight model has not changed and I still think it has to much thrust at idle.
  2. OK, makes sense, I never noticed such a big deviation as I mostly fly low and slow in the warmer areas of the world. Good to know it is not a bug with the sim or the aircraft.
  3. Thank you very much for your reply. I have been flight simming for many years and this is the first time I noticed this. Learned something new. Just out of interest I repeated the flight from a nice and warm FACT flying the C130 and this time the altitude values were much closer together.
  4. I have not been flying a lot recently and and when I flew today I noticed a discrepancy in the altitude values displayed in the sim. I started at close to sea level from EGHC and the altimeter show the correct field altitude when I pressed the B key. I set the autopilot to 6000 ft and when I reached 6000 ft I noticed that my actual altitude was 5742 ft. I pressed B and checked the barometer setting and all was in order. LNM reported the same values. I repeated the test with the default Bonanza, the C310 and the Kodiak and got the same results. I pressed the B key several times and checked the barometer values to make sure it was all correct. Has anyone else noticed this. I am not sure if the altimeter is wrong or if the actual altitude is not being reported correctly.
  5. Had the same problem (and the autopilot did not work either) and this solved it for me.
  6. I have the same problem but it seems to be linked to the Milviz products (Beaver and C310). Navigraph works fine.
  7. Just a wild stab in the dark. Clear the scenery cache, that may cause a conflict if you use it and installed new stuff.
  8. Maybe that is why Carenado rushed out their bugged copy. Cash in before the competition arrives on the market...
  9. The default MSFS Garmin G1000. I like the MV Porter and I am waiting for the steam gauge PC6 but I tnink the Milviz PC6 has way to much trhust at idle. Does not look like the developer thinks its a problem.
  10. Still can not understand that "on a runway and wheels leave the ground = takeoff" logic is still missing after 2 years.
  11. Works very well, I enjoy the Milviz products in P3D. I have all their P3DV5 compatible models, was hoping for the 310 to be porter to V5 but that is not going to happen😞
  12. Interesting that they say the PC6 engine and flight model is fine. The will just add a steam gauge version..... For me the MSFS porter bounces even if I land at around -100 fpm. It was one of my preferred planes in P3D but now just sits in my MSFS hanger.
  13. I fly the P180 in P3D and I like it very much. I will not be holding my breath for the P180 in MSFS though as it looks like they have other priorities. The Milviz porter is one of my favourite plane in P3D but I am really disappointed with the MSFS version and it looks like it will not be updated.
  14. I have both. I use P3D to fly and MSFS to do sight seeing with lots of external view time. With the server not being available and lots of lost connections recently I could still get my flying fix in P3D. The physics in MSFS is very frustrating. I can ace my landings in the P3D Milviz porter every time, landing right on the numbers while the MSFS versions bounces all over the place and the power lever behaves like an on/off switch at low power settings. I can also not get why the pilots records are still broken after all these updates. Surely the logic of wheels left the ground = takeoff can not be that hard to implement. I have way more landings than takeoff's in MSFS and have no idea what constitutes a sucessfull takeoff.
  15. I am very happy with the current version P3D V5 and my hanger is full of the most populer products. Although there are some issues I think they are mostly related to 3rd party content and at least I can fly without a lightning fast network connection. I will continue to buy stuff for P3D but is seems like the supply of good new products have dried up and many developers have abandoned their P3D user base. Compatibility of my existing products going forward with future P3D upgrades is my biggest concern.
  16. Looks like its widespread, same problem in South Africa.
  17. The HSI gauge (top left hand corner) is missing in my external camera view. I found a way to minimize and hide the other gauges in Assistance options > Instrument heads-up display - chase cam, but this does not bring back the HSI gauge. Any suggestions on other settings I should try.
  18. Patch is available on ORBX central as well.
  19. My bad, I see world update 9 was the Italy / Malta update. The message on the front page with the picture of the Pelican confused me....
  20. I am seeing a message that world update IX is now available but I only see a new spacecraft. Am I missing something??
  21. Sooo, what about the other bugs, are they fixed or do we still need the mod.
  22. My experience, check elevator trim, be ready with right rudder to overcome the P-factor as soon as you lift off and be very gentle when you pull back on the elevator to avoid a sudden change in angle of attack. A bit of extra speed before you rotate also helps a lot of you have enough runway.
  23. Although many people could download the mod (and the AS copyright information) it is absolutely useless information if you do not purchase the product. In a way the mod actually promoted the product. The CCM Kodiak mod really transformed that plane and I was even thinking of buying the Twin Otter because of the mod. Fortunately I did not.
  24. With the CptMoustache mod the Kodiak now flies much closer to what I would expect (Based on Missionary Bush Pilot videos) Much more drag with flaps extended and now you need right rudder trim during climb etc. I have the Porter (which also need some tweaking I think) but I decided not to splash out on the twin Otter yet.
  25. Try using a different port (DP vs HDMI) on the graphics card and / or the monitor and check if you are running at the native resolution of the the monitor. Just a thought and maybe you tried that already.
