  1. Kaboki- go through pilot edge CAT ratings series. They have YouTube videos on each rating 1 to 10, 1 being simplest ATC interaction and 10 being complex class bravo airspace. their website also has the script that you were asking for each of those CAT ratings. you don’t need to pay anything to go thru their CAT rating videos or website script. But they are massively helpful when it comes to radio comms.
  2. Pls stick to the topic, which is about panel state save functionality, not about sim stability.
  3. Kaboki- we should make you president of Flightsim husbands association. We can all empathize with the annoying wife syndrome. 🤣
  4. loading a saved flight is extremely robust in pmdg.. try it out.. it even remembers tiny details like the clock timer, etc.. you can also edit .FLT file to allow being able to adjust weather on a saved/loaded flight.. this way you dont get locked out of the weather/time menu.. you gotta manually edit the FLT file now, but in future asobo should enable this.. I have mentioned this in another thread..
  5. I’m not saying this is highest priority. I would also like IAE and sharklets before this. but this needs to get done at some point and looks like it’s already on their list.
  6. the top prolific devs like pmdg have had this feature for years and many have benefitted from it.. if you have never used pmdg products before, you cannot discredit the benefits others have gotten.. why else w'd fenix , another high profile dev invest in rewriting efb logic to include this feature.. they must be out of their mind?
  7. The topic is not about whether MSFS or any other sim is stable or not.. The topic is that a payware top end airline like fenix should provide full panel save state (just like we expect a top class EFB from PMDG because it has become the norm these days).. and when you do long hauls you will understand the pain of losing a flight after 4 to 5 hours, due to whatever reason.. doesn't have to be sim crash.. many times i've had to save a flight because electricity went kaput or some other real world interruption..
  8. What you are saying is like "most of us have been driving for many years without a single accident, so we don't need seat belts".
  9. nope, its not the same thing.. the OP's issue (as well as mine in many cases) is to be able to resume a flight if and when there's a CTD.. we want the complete flight and panel state restored to the last spec.. OP - you can do this flawlessly in pmdg 737 .. try it out.. save a flight, quit the sim, reopen the same flight next day, you can pick it up exactly where you left it.. including the fuel, pax, flight plan and every switch on the flight deck exactly the way it was.. this is yet to come in fenix.. they might be workin on it as part of their efb rewrite.. lets wait and see.. this is actually a must have for any airliner in any sim.. not many seem to realize this.. no sim is free from random CTDs.. no simmer is free from real life interruptions either.. you've gotta be able to save and reload a flight perfectly..
  10. You are not alone. Many have been frustrated by such asobo decisions. anyway in slew mode click on camera icon from tool bar go to drone view and click on any of the fixed camera views that shows you the nose wheel. Now you can slew while looking at nose wheel. and there is no shortcut key to jump to this view. You have to do it through tool bar menu every time. Asobo has a weird way of complicating the simplest things. Look at their native replay system for example and compare it with the FSrecorder freeware. I rest my case.
  11. i use LNM in all my flights.. its quite stable.. download the latest version and update it to latest airac.. not saying i haven't had any CTDs, but they are very rare..
  12. the only long workaround is to open the camera menu, go to drone --> fixed camera --> choose external camera 4 and then you can slew while looking at nose wheel position.. no way to map a shortcut to external camera 4, so you have to do it the long way.. not a big deal in the big scheme of things, but a minor irritant, as this was possible in fsx where you can slew in spot view while panning around.. EDIT: just tried shortcut key - Toggle fixed camera 4, but slew mode blocks any camera shortcuts.. you have to go thru the menu and choose the fixed camera u want..
  13. you guys are missing the point.. I know i can assign a joystick axis to slew and slew the aircraft very slowly.. but i want to move the camera around while slewing the aircraft.. right now camera is always stuck behind the tail.. for e.g, i may want to see the nose wheel position while slewing.. this is currently not possible in the sim.. if it is, pls show me and i owe you a beer..
  14. It’s a must have. Without that you may not even know that you have landed. There is no native touch down effect or at least it’s too muted. also FSrealistic adds ton of other effects which are highly customizable.
  15. Real question for me - is Milviz planning on bringing the KA 350 to MSFS? Have there been any previews or hints?
  16. Ya like gsx is going to perfectly put my plane on the spot. Unless the airport has a custom curated gsx profile we still need to rely on slew for moving aircraft around. sometimes I have to move my GA plane out of the way because the ground crew is blocking me. Another puzzling feature from asobo.
  17. this is another painful limitation in msfs.. one of those features that we took for granted during fsx days which sadly did not make it to msfs.. moving camera during slew mode is essential as many times I'm trying to position my plane perfectly on the parking spot when I load into the sim.. at some airports, you are loaded into a wrong position at the gate.. easiest w'd be to slew and move the camera so that you can see where the nosewheel is going at any moment.. the other fsx feature is ofcourse tower view and flyby view.. I know there's a painfully long workaround with drone view, but its just not the same.. another thing i miss is opening doors for default planes.. hope they roll this in during AAUs..
  18. it was either the wingman UI or the sofly weather preset.. disabled both and sim worked fine.. perfect flight on the C414...
  19. ok it worked in safe mode. wonder if its the wingman gui thats breaking it..
  20. was perfectly fine just a few hrs ago.. was doing some test flights on the chancellor.. trying in safe mode.. next option is system restart..
  21. not able to get into MSFS.. steam version.. I loaded a flight plan that was created in LNM and saved in MSFS format.. as soon as i loaded it, sim crashed.. have been trying to get back into the sim, but its hanging forever.. not able to even reach the world map screen.. server issue?
  22. if you started from a saved flight, you have to edit the xxxxxx.FLT file manually in notepad before loading it in the sim.. under weather settings, edit WeatherCanBeLive=True [formerly false].. this should make custom weather editable in a loaded flight..
  23. true, I do the same on most approaches.. I follow the ILS diamonds until I'm close enough, then switch to view outside and maintain 2 reds 2 whites and then dip even further down below the 3 deg slope, so that I can complete my landing within the TDZ.. even with all this, I usually touch down at the very end of TDZ.. it takes a long flare to get sub 300 fpm.. at times i get below 100, but mostly below 300 fpm.. The other issue with x-winds is pmdg has found a way to tame the over aggressive ground effects, but fenix does sway side to side at times, after touchdown with x-wind.. I usually avoid x-winds on fenix, but take them on with pmdg..
