  1. I have sent this support request to virtual avionics for the same issue After upgrade to W11 neither P3dV4 or P3D v5 is able to find simconnect.dll Van: Ryan Rienhart <ryan.rienhart@gmail.com> Verzonden: woensdag 24 augustus 2022 08:15 Aan: support@virtualavionics.com.br CC: ryan_xy@live.nl Onderwerp: After upgrade to W11 neither P3dV4 or P3D v5 is able to find simconnect.dll Dear Sirs, After upgrade to W11 neither P3dV4 or P3D v5 is able to find simconnect.dll I want to use the all my 3 boeing CDU’s but unfortunately the 777 already gives an error that it needs to be upgraded by you before I start it. I get below errormessage when I try the 737 and 747 on both platforms from the VA interface application Not able to find simconnect.dll, VA interface will terminate Please check on virtual avionics website, bla bla bla to a location that doesnt exist anymore Do you know how I can fix this I have tried reinstalling both P3D and the newest VA interface version from your website And later, after digging a bit more in the issue I found the culprit but I dont have the rights to perfrom this action even though I'the sole owner and administrator of this pc Van: Ryan Rienhart <ryan_xy@live.nl> Verzonden: zaterdag 27 augustus 2022 22:51 Aan: Ryan Rienhart <ryan.rienhart@gmail.com>; support@virtualavionics.com.br CC: Bruijn, Jelmer (SPLNP) - KLM <Jelmer.Bruijn@klm.com> Onderwerp: RE: After upgrade to W11 neither P3dV4 or P3D v5 is able to find simconnect.dll After some analysis I have concluded that the position of the simconnect application changed during my upgrade to W11 On my windows 10 machine ( I have a W10 Laptop) The path is as follows: C:\Windows\WinSxS\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_1ed9da73c880e429_10.0.62615.0_none_69960aa860d87067 And there it works all fine. On my, now W11 PC the location is C:\Windows\WinSxS\Fusion\x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_none_7a98ffdea9fe1e16 So I wanted to try to copy the x86_microsoft.flightsimulator.simconnect_67c7c14424d61b5b_none_7a98ffdea9fe1e16 file and contents directly in the WinSXS folder but although I am the owner and the sole user of this PC I don’t seem to be able to modify the WinSxS Folder. The option for full control is greyed out, I can’t change my rights to get full control Basically I think then there is only one option left: for you guys to bring out a new version of the VA software which refers to the right location. Because the referral that you make in the error message unfortunately does not even exist anymore. Ryan Rienhart +31610956877
  2. Thanks Mike, but it tells me when I try to install it that I have the latest version already. It was worth the check though. I have submitted a ticket @ the guys PMDG. See what they come up with. Weird thing is that I used to fly this same 747 on this same pc without any issues whatsoever. Until I had to reinstall Windows 7 and everything again after a crash..
  3. Thanks for getting back Kyle. I have used a real briefing package from my company, for the 6th of June. I had to enter/ adjust the weights and the route according to the possibilities in FSX. In the load manager and PMDG options naturally. What route? EHAM-RJAA What weight? EZFW 242.000 Kgs Block Fuel 140.000 Kgs What day did this happen? :6 June. and at what time (I have a program that can pull the weather for that time period)? 08.45 Z I have pulled the the briefing, actual flight departure in real life was 12.40 Z What Cost Index? 300 What aircraft? PMDG B747-400 Ground distance 5223, air distance 5251 ( initial) Cruise level FL310, tried reselecting 290, no avail. I have a boxed version of the PMDG 744 Thanks for getting back Kyle.
