  2. Maybe that's the same issue with the nVidia drivers that show the blue triangles? What drivers are you using?

The beta drivers cause this issue for me (340) in P3D.

I updated the version yesterday to 337.88, i dont remember what version i had before but it was a beta driver

  3. What happens if you use no weather?

As you said, i tested without weather and it doesnt happens, everything runs good, high in fps outside 40-50, but 20-25 on virtual cockpit, what this means? i cannot use weather engine?

    I'll appreciate your help!

Note: black boxes already fixed with Steve Shader release 3.2.3 :)

  5. Do you have to do that in every topic like this? Cmon lad, he's asking for alternatives, so clearly he is not satisfied with the sounds (them being realistic or not). All the PMDG defensors on this forum really bum me out... Give it a rest guys. We all know PMDG makes a fantastic job, but not everyone has to agree with everything.

Anyway , to the OP, check out this thread: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/406453-pmdg-737-ngx-soundpack/

    Cheers!

    Thanks for the suggestion!

Actually i tried that package before come and post for others solutions, i really like the sounds such engines and cabine, but i am having problems with flap sounds and is that my aircraft just dont play the sound, also the sounds doesnt work on 737/800 winglets, if i find solution to make it work propertly im going to keep that package for sure thanks

  6. Hi guys!

I am not sure if there is any thread related with this topic or i just did not found it. Whats happening is that i would like to make the lights at night on terrain and aircrafts as well more realistic possible on FSX, ofcourse i understand that should be some addons around the web, and the question is which one is more accurate or recommended?

Also compatible with FTX and ORBX extensions.

I know there's a lot of pro simmers and good people that know about it, so come and give me your opinion and suggestions, it will be really appreciate :)

  7. Win7 64bit is the recommended OS, but Win8 is better performance in graphics and network, both fundamental to FSX performance.WIn8 required a driver change and so you may find some rough old USB drivers or hardware unable to run correctly with it. As for the joystick disconnect, never seen it here other than purposely overstressing FSX, easier to do on a recent PC with Win8, hence the rumour.

I got the same issues with my joystick dropping just 5 minutes after loading fsx, also the most tweaks wasn't taking effect on windows 8 and thats the reason why i decided to try Windows 7 :) so far the whole setting are making some changes on performance and graphics, i just wondering wich one is going to be the correct one.

    Thanks for reply :)

Re colors, have you got FSX set to 32 bit colors? (not 16!) in Options/Settings/Display

FSX runs DX9 default... does not matter if your card supports DX11, it will run DX9 for FSX.

DX10 is a whole other story - FSX can run DX10 but all kinds of fixes are required, so suggest sticking with DX9

at least for the first while.. ^_^

Yes my settings are correctly (32). Actually in trying some tweaks for dx10 that i found on youtube, i hope to catch them propertly :)

    Thanks for reply!

  8. Thanks for reply guys!

I decided to install FSX on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 :) well i already did! In some of the airport such a ORBX YBBN its run critical not even go up more than 10 fps, on Windows 8 i was doing 24, but at ORBX KJAC its look fantastic estabilized at 30 fps minimum even with the whole settings at max, on take off, at parking, on runway, its the same fps porcent 30, but something that i noticed is the change at colors, i do not know if is me but i see like colors are not so good as Windows 8, right or wrong?

What about the tweaks on Windows 7? Some of them are being created to be done at dx10 but my video card just implement the dx11 version, it is compatible for tweaks? Somebody found the correct way to make fsx look so realistic?

Thanks again guys for share reviews

  9. Hi guys,

Reading in couple of pages and around the web is pretty hot to see a lot of topics discussing about the great FSX and tweaks to make it look awesome and smooth, but nobody point wich of the couple of windows versions should be the best for FSX, can you guys give me your honest review about it? im looking to get into the correct OS and i really will appreciate it  :Peace:

    Regards!

  10. I currently own a GTX 670 and was having problems with low FPS and a lot of stutters. I tried everything to bring back the smoothness but nothing helped. I remember I had upgraded my nvidia drivers to the latest ones because I was running iRacing and was taking a break from FSX.

I went ahead and reinstalled the old nvidia drivers version 3.1422 and miraculously I got my smoothness back along with FPS in the 30's.

My questions is which nvidia driver version works for you on your GTX 670?

    Hi Samaritano,

i own the same graphic video card GTX 670 and my current driver version is the new beta driver 340.43 released 6/17/14  B) at this moment i was testing FSX with some tweaks to make it look better and improve performance on Windows 8.1 64 and Directx 11 with some issues as low fps and some stuttering so i decide to install Windows 7 Ultimate 64 with Directx 11 as well to see if this help with my expectations, i will see whats going on after the installation and test. Do you have Directx 11 on your video card specifications or another version installed?

    Regards.

337.88 is used by lots of folks

For best FSX experience? or it is the most recommended driver?
