  1. Was just at the point to plan buying this fsl aircraft (June budget ). Was thinking after the first fsl gaff that the plane is becoming free of malwares. Now with this recent bad news... that demonstrate for me, (by justifying their actions on Windows), that the news are not fakes ones... I'm very afraid (and definitely), this aircraft and company becoming for me "blacklisted". Why? Is a nonsense, the product was tested as one of the best of for p3dv4.... Change plan for this June buying... PMDG 777 or 747 ? Keeping the simple hope of aerosoft new Airbuses shall be well done... and soon released... Mark

  6. ...747-800 Is the next PMDG, the most modern PMDG Boeing is actually the 777, if you want absolutely flight a PMDG product, I choiced buying the QW787 and I'm happy with.

    To Purchase?

    Maddog is a beautiful sixties oldies, based on radios navigation. (As B707, B727, DC8, etc...) this kind of aircrafts are mostly flying by the pilot with the help of human motor-technician and navigator assistance. B787 is the least style of glass cockpit, with full automated computing assistance for pilots based on gps. The most important part for pilot here is to be a good programmer before the flight (not easy in reality). Push buttons style said without offences. No comparison is possible, mine response is flying the two ;-), is different kinds of pleasures. Mark

  9. I'm furious. Enough, to much... to mush is to mush, this trade become very insane without any respect for persons who like a new aircraft... Why this offensive?,..without senses, yes this addon is not actually perfect, but a lot have pleasures to flight with, why?... Because it is a very pleasant one !. Compared to blackbox axxx series, CRJ, 717, this qw787 is upper placed in mine mind and compared to PMDG (actually step) is less. No one aircraft in our sim correspond to the reality because it is impossible... the old basic base of fsx (and family softwares) is very, very less... No, to said that PMDG is "the perfection" is not yet real, having a lot of problems with (installation protections, pln imports, etc... ) But because I like PMDG, reality is... that is a other point of view and level (very, very expensive) addons. To have a superiority mind and keep a upper standing with PMDG comparison is insane and not serious. Respect please the others !!!! Awaiting a B787 from PMDG (at this self prize) to be able to make a real comparison with.... Best regards and respect to PMDG lovers. Sorry, for mine incorrect political position now. Mark

  12. Full agree, shall become a must have of this year. Be patient and enjoy now without radar... Like definitively to fly with.

Fully agree, often when I enraged myself against a product, few days later, I discover trough topics or friends discussions that the origin was outside this addon, so for example the camera system Esca who make swiping the front wheel on taxiway or on landing.... making the plane uncontrollable. The upgrade of Esca solved... the plane was not bugged. Simming P3dv2, one year with mine brother, often he make bad procedures with planes and never recognise his faults persuaded to know everything better then others. So with new addon added in your configuration take a few time and reconsider your knowledge front a problem of question. For navigation, essentially with VNAV and ILS the problems are often conflicts with sim data or a mistake in the pln automatically inserted in a fms. Sid, Star and approachs are disfonctionnal if the data are coming from different airacs with missing points. Plus, In a Vnav the speed of the aircraft on descending glides is a important part of success. The French monitor who learned me to flight, said me each landing... "Mark, la vitesse, la vitesse, la vitesse" (Mark, speed,speed, speed) And now in the sim, on each descend and landing, I repeat mentally . always speed,speed,speed with a little smile for this kind monitor. For developers the Vertical Navigation is the dark side of our Sim in programmation, the basic code is the old one coming from fsx
  15. Just have this though now... after this very very long topic mostly against QW. I don't agree this B787 is not a bad addon ! Just one to be accomplished, (the Tdfi 717 when realised was a real nightmare in comparison, one year later is now better). Is Avsim a oriented site? When Fslabs was in difficult with the A320 malware voluntary included in her .exe, the topic was immediately and definitively censured. A shame... When PMDG topics don't follow a strict indentification, topics are cleared. Critics against this team are never welcome. Yes, they do good job but very expensive. For each Carenado products the topics was'nt mostely constructives. For aerosoft the same. If I understand well Avsim members, except A2A, ORBX, and PMDG, you don't agree the others... Is a danger to discourage creators making real and new challenges. When I compare the actual "bad addons" with "well done addons" of a few years (4) ago... I can't understand the reasons to do so... Perhaps a new sport... For Internet addicts, not for me. Sorry to disturb this game a few moment, but mine interrogation is profond and real. Make good flights this (day) (night for me) bye bye
  16. Today, do a flight with 787 from Kbfi - Seatle to Panc Anchorage. Departure folowing the steps climbs method, on cruise level...make rapidly a jump... to the descend waypoint with the QW feature (fantastic to have). Was a little suspiciou, but the descend and approach worked perfectly. Sure, I like this new style of cockpit, this plane make his official incoming in mine hangar. Pehaps someone's problems are the editing of a good pln. Or a big part for a good descent and approach is to control the speed or the drags... to help a perfect altitude level in Vnav...
  17. Buying this B787, and seriously, I'm very happy with (first impression). the 787 cockpit is very functional and easy to use. First flight done and the plane worked as I wanted. Have a positive approach when trying a just released addon. If is not perfect as the Tdfi 717 was... I can be patient. If when flying, I meet a technical problem with the addon, I reacted as pilots... rapidly trying others solutions, always instructive for your personal experience as pilot or as simmer. Only sim-crashes are boring me, is not the case with this B787. Mark, be positive, mine half bottle is never empty.

Totally agree, When buying a PMDG plane, I haved big problems but never said on Avsim that the product is bad or very expensive... just waiting patiently the patchs of corrections and understand some mistakes I do myself with the plane. I'm happy that QW release this aircraft, because B787 was a revolution ifor Boeing and we could have it in P3dv4...
  19. Finished products don't exist anymore because of the complexities of the interactions between the sim and the others addons included on the computer. Nobody is able to imagine all the combination to create a perfect aircraft for anybody. Sorry, all products are unfinished because the sim is unfinished too... When paying a addon, it is a part (for me) of money for development of our hobby. Most creators make incredible efforts to give us the "best of". Look backward... the evolution of quality is fantastic. Mark, a happy simmer today.
  20. Press buttons, yes, is now, a essential part of the pilot-job. High-tech and automation of press-buttons linners assume the actual global security level, the number of crash in 2017 is comparable with the 80'years but with a very-very big increasing of flights and passengers. As simmer, I like flying: old style with a Waco, classic style with a Beech, commuter radio navigation style with the Dash 8/400 or Saab, modern linners as PMDG 737 or the Airbus A3xx, and for the future style probably the new QW B787... Different problems and solutions for each one that is our fantastic horizon of this hobby.

Of course, seem a little different comparing others aircrafts... but the 787 have this type of cockpit with very great screens too... 😈 In reality, this is the actual tendency for new aircrafts conception. The category of cockpits I like flying are commuters as the Q400 or Saab 340... Or in AG, the Beech serie.

  23. Is normal... because with this scenery, it isn't easy to have a good fps with linners on a standard computer in 64bits... then a conversion in 32 bits seem as a non-sense. Sorry for the simmers "Nostalgics of Fsx" because this group was the cause of a very very long inertial transition**, (many years), to evolution for better sceneries and addons. The future is clearly in 64 bits and only in 64 of more... I keep mine fsx to have some incompatible addon's... but 98% of mine flying time, I'm in 64 bits... And enjoy... No more OMs is a dream ! ** encouraged by marketing, of course...
  24. The reality for me is that most liners or commuters lost their fms programms, Some lost the autopilot settings too... Must verify everythings before renewing the flight... But you re-start on altitude and position of the saved file.
