  1. Me neither, I am totally on your side. However, my point was that I cannot blame people from TRYING to run a PMDG plane in P3D while waiting, but once PMDG releases a true P3D, all this will stop. In other words: just release the new planes, so we don't have to worry about people violating the EULA anymore. At least for me: I just want stuff to work right out of the box, I am done 'tweaking'.
  2. Wow, this went fast... My 2 cts? I think PMDG can hardly blame anyone for trying to run their software in a P3D environment, legal or otherwise. In my opinion this is actually a compliment to both PMDG (for building excellent add-on planes) and LM (for keeping FSX alive, and actually improving it). We are seeing the future being created here... This whole discussion will become moot once PMDG starts releasing P3D products. Until that day I keep using FSX, with the added bonus that the tension of possible CTD's at random moments creates so much excitement :-( Martijn
  3. My impressions so far, besides graphics, are less positive. Even the major (European) airports like EGLL are outdated. As a VATSIM pilot, this might be a problem when ATC has a different airport layout than P3D... Ah well, plenty of (freeware) scenery available, so not a big issue. Cheers, Martijn Rammeloo
  4. Thanks for the reply. However, no SB here, I use vPilot. Anyway, I don't want to hijack this thread. I just hope (and based on the info I have I am fairly confident) that P3D doesn't need all kinds of tweaks out of the box and then still CTD every 5-10 flights.
  5. Wow, just wow... I've been 'playing' sims since the Microprose days, and I thought the genre was dead by now. I've recently purchased FSX and 737NGX and I enjoy flying around on VATSIM but the occasional CTDs spoil the fun. I am really looking forward to the P3D+737NGX combo, and I am totally prepared to pay for it. On question in advance: how 'current' are the P3D airfields? A vanilla FSX install needs a lot of addon scenery, some of them of questionable quality, and often inflicting a large FPS hit. Again: this news makes me very, very happy! Martijn Rammeloo
