  1. Yeah, I'm familiar with ForeFlight... too pricey. And to get weather feature, you have to pay the higher fee.
  2. It's not a big but. I wish the maps had an option to turn on a weather radar overlay. Would be so cool to see where the thundercells are located. Plus would be cool to see where the MSFS aircraft is located during multiplayer. But this app has nearly everything you could ever want. And I have used all the other payware and freeware flight planners for the past decade.
  3. Have you tried it yet? I've been using P3D for quite some time but when to the X Plane a year ago. Really love X Plane's lighting and smoothness of traffic on the roads. Their photoreal software essentially comes in two flavors: G2XPL and Ortho4xp. But both are a bit painful to install. Requires quite a few steps to get it going. Been thinking of returning to P3D and then trying MegaSceneryEarth or Ultimate VFR but can't seem to locate the Ultimate VFR website anymore..... a
  4. Hahaha... poor Sethos1988... Glad everyone said what needed to be said. I haven't tried the MegasceneryEarth but if they do come out with an X Plane version, I may give it a shot. But as long as it has an installer.
  5. You are quite prejudiced and judgemental. That's very clear. You feel like everyone should experience what you've experienced. That's a very narcissistic attitude. Sorry, you are not everyone else. This is a forum. I shared my experience and also shared the preference that many others here shared, that they would prefer an installer. I'm happy with that.
  6. I think your responses have been more frantic and rather obsessive. All you need to do is look at what many comments have been surrounding the installation and use of these applications. People want installers. That's okay. No need to obsess over how much easier it was for you unless you just want to toot your own horn, as it seems.
  7. Dude. Pay attention. It took more to get it to work. Explaining this to you is (as I can see), going nowhere. My apologies to your comprehension. The evidence speaks for itself. Most people like photoscenery but want it to be simple process to install and get it running.
  8. Uh, it's a little more than copy and pasting a folder into your custom scenery folder. Simply doing that task does not get you to seeing photoscenery. But if the MegasceneryEarth has its own installer and does all the magic on its own without you needing to spend 20 minutes to several hours downloading tile sizes to suit your fancy, then I'm on board.
  9. Yeah, but it's a pain to try and install. Megasceneryearth is worth every penny if one can simply click on Install to make it work. Yeah, but like most people have been saying about Ortho4XP and similar programs like G2XPL, they are an utter pain to install. MegasceneryEarth has at least figured it out and done all that pesky footwork for the customer. Plus there is no reliable support with G2XPL and Ortho. And you will certainly need it in order to get it working (in addition to studying the instructions, which have been obviously translated into English.).
  10. What do I do about a missing resource file or an error in my log file: Failed to find resource 'terrain/g2xpl_17_24144_79568_4096.ter', referenced from scenery package 'Custom Scenery/z_g2xpl/'. The terrain file 'terrain/g2xpl_17_24144_79568_4096.ter' could not be located. I removed the default scenery and readded it. I removed the DDS file and the error appeared. But strange that it doesn't appear until I try to take off from airport where the problem tile is. I donated and so I have the latest version 6.90.
  11. I just installed World Traffic plugin. It came with many airports from Europe but not many from the West. I tried to add KSFO but getting a KSFO_Random item to show up in the 'enable region' list. And it would never load any aircraft when I clicked on 'sync'. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. The KSEA airport works fine. But it came already installed.
  12. Ah, that must be the problem. I have listened to LIVEATC for quite some time and it seems rare to hear clearance delivery traffic.
  13. I'm always trying to find good airports that stream 'clearance delivery' traffic. It seems to be such a challenge to find an airport where this frequency has a lot of traffic. Does anyone know of any airports that stream busy 'clearance delivery' streams? I'm trying to gain enough experience in listening to the initial clearance for flights.
