  1. I found at the Aerosoft forum where Kok states that they don’t map to the Select Altitude command, so it will not work. The PMDG 737 however works perfectly, and it rotates the altitude quite quickly. I will be taking the 737 up today so we will see how it all goes.
  2. I took your advice and went to the Aerosoft forum and found a topic where someone tried something similar trying to control Altitude through their Hotas knob and it doesn’t work. Kok himself stated that it doesn’t work, so at least I know that it doesn’t work now. It works just fine for the PMDG 737 so we will fly that a bit more often now.
  3. The AXAIR MIAP came and I got it installed today. I mostly wanted to use altitude so I programmed it as directed. I pressed ALT to assign it to altitude bug, then assign the increase/decrease altitude reference knobs by rotating the knob for each setting respectively. when I went to use it on the CRJ, the altitude doesn’t change. When I try it on the pmdg 737 the altitude works perfectly and at a very good speed too I would add, so I know that the device works, and that I have the correct controls mapped.. have you gotten the CRJ to work? I did get the heading bug to work. I can’t make the v/s work on the CRJ either.
  4. Would you say that your CPU temps are low enough, mine is running around 65 to 70, the gpu is in the same range. I ask because another 13900 user here recently was getting throttled due to high temps on the cpu.
  5. All settings are set for ultra, or highest available setting in that category. Objects LOD = 200/Terrain =300. DLSS- Quaility. Cars and boats are at 60. Performance over cities like New York are well into the 110 range, other areas less intensive like my home in Indiana are still a decent 140 to 160.
  6. 50/50, however a user here responded to my recent thread about MCP devices and led me to this: https://www.laptime.nl/shop/index.php?id_product=8&controller=product you can assign any rotary type knob to it.
  7. Even my 4090 stays cool and quiet, the power draw is much lower than I thought based on the initial discussion of the 40xx cards.
  8. My migration was buttery smooth as I made a list before hand. -Get the new pc up and running -D/L MSI and configure fans -Verify HAGs is turned on -Download MSFS from Steam -Download all owned content from Content manager -Download all owned content that remained from the Store -Test flight - Downloaded remaining content owned from Pmdg and Just Flight - Download and configured Simbrief and Navigraph -Test flights -Cocktail(s)
  9. I don’t use a cache of any kind, I don’t know if you need to or not. I believe that the premise was that it would ease the amount of data that would need to be downloaded for individuals running slow or metered internet and are flying around the same areas. I have 800mbs service so it is really of no consequence to me. It seems you have fairly good internet speed as well.
  10. You ought to be going great with that build, the cooling sounds good and should keep everything nice and cool. My monitor is 60 hz, and I don’t cap frames and do not notice issues even though my fps is never under 60. I also do not have cache turned on, and never did, and never missed its supposed benefits. Enjoy the flying!
  11. The mod has been neglected for so long that trees are beginning to regrow.
  12. Carenado is releasing the Archer II soon, and I would be very tempted to dip my toe in the water again. Their Mooney was outstanding and if the Archer is anything close to that I will still buy. Good to hear that they are cleaning things up, let’s hope the trend continues.
  13. Happened to me last week. I believe the .DLL got hosed on the NVIDIA side. I reloaded a driver from NVIDIA and the DLSS option was restored.
  14. I ordered this as it does what I want it to do, and would also avoid using spad, axes, fsuipc, etc. Hopefully we will see it in the next three weeks or so. ‘’thanks again, everyone!
  15. I appreciate everyone who chimed in on this, I would have never found all of these through google.
  16. This is almost exactly what I had in mind. The setup seems simple as I watched their YouTube video. I could use as much, or as little as I like.
  17. I am looking for a plug-in usb device to hopefully do MSP functions for MSFS. At a minimum I am hoping to get something that would provide a rotary knob for altitude and one for vertical speed so I don’t have to use a mouse to do this on the CRJ and the 737-700. Can anyone who has something that is working point me in the right direction?
  18. That is why I am confused because it was I that posted my specs and there is no issue flying up the Hudson taking in the New York skyline and the temperatures are very normal and all this while completely maxed out at 4K and still getting 90 to 100 fps. The differences that I can glean so far is that the tests were done in the C172 (WB version) and I have nothing in the community folder. The OP should be getting much better results.
  19. Alienware Cryo-tech ™ Edition CPU Liquid Cooling With a 1350 watt psu .
  20. I gave my comparable earlier in the thread as we essentially have the same system, except in one regard, I do not have anything in the community folder. Have you tried running your scenario with an empty community folder.
  21. I added some additional data points to MSI to track cpu temps and then ran my New York test run again. Frames in the 90-100 range, gpu temps around 55c. Cpu temps were around 65c with an occasional 70ish. Cpu usage was around 15%. I see in articles that the 13900 runs hot, and 100c is actually in operating limits, but I think I would be worried to see it even constantly in the 80’s. Hope the OP gets it all sorted.
  22. What the heck! I just bought the scenery pack around Newark a moment ago, same process, and no issues. Maybe your credit card provider will give you relief if you challenge it as a double charge.
  23. Zero issues here with the Steam account. There is an authorize button on the Steam transaction page that you have to hit, and it ought to work after that.
  24. As I pointed out in my earlier post with virtually the same equipment as OP, he should be generating very high frames. I wondered at first if his render scaling was set all the way up, but it appears he is actually under 100% there. I’m also wanting to assume that this is a newly purchased PC in which case a call to the manufacturer may be in order. Maybe the OP did the upgrade, and as you said something isn’t properly installed.
