  1. I had setup all my cockpit views with a Quartic transition effect. The effect moving from view to view was nice and smooth. I then assigned keyboard keys from the number pad to each of my views. One of the key assignments warned me that the selected stroke was assigned in P3D and to make sure I deleted it.

    Well, I deleted the keystroke from p3d (Shift + Num 0) IIRC and now all my transitions just snap into place. The smooth movement is gone. I go into the camera advance setting to adjust the transition, but nothing happens. I closed Chaseplane, P3D and rebooted my PC. When I restarted everything none of my saved presets were there. Ok. So I created new presets, but still cant set the smooth transition I initially had. How do I recover from this?

    One other solution.  Uninstall P3D completely.  Reinstall.  Do not add any scenery, aircraft, or modify your p3d.cfg. (In other words, a totally default flight).  If no crash, then you can begin the process of reinstalling every addon again.

    That's how I resolved my CTD, although it was with the PMDG 737, but I digress. I also rebooted my PC after each addon.

  3. What Rhett said ^^^.

    My icons .bgl icons never change after renaming. I usually rename the file to .org.  The file icon changes when the file type is associated with a specific application.

    As an experiment, try setting "Airport Vehicle Desity" to "None".

    Not sure if this will help, but IIRC from before P3D, then if this value is greater than "None", every AI aircraft calls the fuel truck on the airport before they start taxiing. And there is only one truck, so that takes quite a while.

    Best regards

    Thanks. Will try that...

  5. I have read countless threads on how to install MyTraffic 6a into P3Dv4. I opted for using the add-on.xml file, and removed the FS9 models without radio settings with SimLauncherX. All is good in that respect.

    There is plenty of aircraft on the ground in gates. Even smaller GA airports have planes on the ground. My issue is I hardly have any traffic moving around in major airports.

    I can leave the simulation running for a while waiting for some aircraft to begin taxiing, taking off or land, but barely, and I mean barely anything.

    Again, I have searched and ready many threads, just have not been able to search and find for the right fix.  Any ideas?

     add-on-xml

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

      <AddOn.Component>
        <Category>SimObjects</Category>
        <Path>G:\FS_Addons\MyTraffic Professional\MyTraffic\Aircraft</Path>
      </AddOn.Component>

        <Name>MyTrafficScenery</Name>
        <Layer>114</Layer>
      </AddOn.Component>
    </SimBase.Document>

    p.s. My P3D traffic settings.

    I checked it out for the first time.  It does look great! Did you go in and remove the default FSX traffic first and then go install that program?

    Currently only using on P3D V3. I used it on both FSX-SE and P3D. I don't recall what changes I made. TBH, I think I did a default install.

  7. Im not certain what occurred, but after installing Windows 10 Pro, Prepar3d has been having issues loading properly.  I have it setup in triple screens with view groups.

    As I launch the executable, it begins loading and bypasses the scenario selection screen going right into the default flight in the fighter jet. The left of my three screen is blank and the mouse will not work in the other two screens.

    So basically my question is. Can I do reinstall P3D without having to uninstall it first?

  8. XMP will run the RAM at it's manufacturer rated settings, frequency and timings. Settings that the manufacturer has tested and regarded as stable.

    If you don't either use the XMP profile or enter the frequency and timings manually, then it won't run at the advertised settings, it will run slower, the JADEC settings probably. Unless you bought super slow RAM to begin with of course.

    Thanks for clearing that up.
