  1. I've had some problems with my wifi dropping out. It seems to be more when games are running. Now that its crucial the bits keep flowing I'm looking for a way in VR to immediately know if anything is failing. The reason is that I'm seeing some odd things of patches of ortho not aligning with adjacent ones and roads not drawing correctly and I don't know if my wifi has dropped out a bit (I think I've made progress on the issue but not sure) and failed retrieve data or the scenery is lacking a bit. Suggestions welcome. I'm trying to take screenshots but haven't got the hang of that yet either.
  2. The cockpit of the c172 especially the yoke looks baby size. Anyone think the same? In FS2 there was a scaling thing - I haven't found anything similar yet in MSFS
  3. On WMR now. Trying first with my Odyssey then once I've swapped in the RTX I'll plug in my G2. Some glitches I've had are that for some reason my WiFi keeps cutting out. I'm making progress on that (force 2.4G, turn off energy auto-sleep and swap USB) and so am less distracted by it. It's certainly not as fluid as FS2 but even with the 1080ti it is more usable for me that xplane was.
  4. "and very close to the experience in Aerofly." - that's my benchmark. Unfortunately its a tough one to match. I started with my 1080ti to see how it would cope. Not great. Time to plug in the RTX3090 but I'm braced for not much improvement. CPU is i7-6700K. Thinking of upgrading to i7-10700k but I hope that will be worth it as I read that the RTX3090 doesn't get used to its best.
  5. Quite relevant to my little community project https://www.facebook.com/FlyAuthentiKit
  6. I had both a G1 and an Odyssey at the time of the request, but neither were plugged in 😞 Tried again later in vain
  7. Same here. G2 arrived yesterday. New RTX ready to be installed. VR any minute. I got into the beta for MSFS (not the VR beta 😞 though) but couldn't enjoy the experience without VR. I don't want to mess around with keys and buttons and I want to turn my head to look out of the window or lean forward to get a close look at something.
  8. Love it - I'll be flying this in VR so soooon now. < 3 working hours of 2020 remain and then I'm going in !
  9. The time in Kiribati <iframe src="http://free.timeanddate.com/clock/i7llaquh/n274/bo2/tt0/tw0/tm1/ts1/ta1/tb4" frameborder="0" width="131" height="36"></iframe> nope... that doesn't work
  10. Do you reckon it will be like the MSFS launch? Change your time zone to Kiribati and get a 12 hour jump on the 22nd VR drop?
  11. Hi! Mine arrives on Monday. That's a shame about lost FOV. They're still saying it compares well though to other headsets. Do you think its not? Cheers Phil
  12. My main interest was the in-headset panels and whether that creates a method for external info to be brought in, like approach plate PDFs or route notes. Anyone know? I haven't flown more than 30 mins MSFS as I can't get on with non VR, so been waiting for this moment.
  13. Depends how they do it. In Aerofly fs2 you could choose to see a split partition on the monitor or a merged screen. Sometimes you get to just see one eye.
  14. They tend to happen sometime after 10pm GMT often early hours of Friday
  15. I haven't finished video #4 but you may enjoy this
  16. As requested.... as stated in the video, the Spitfire MkIX is being brought out by Flying Iron Simulations
  17. Anyone tried this yet? It looks like the most useful stopgap until VR hands work well https://pointctrl.com
