  1. Well since i am a big Valve Index fan, i can suggest you the Valve Index 😄 compared to the other HMD's the FOV is much bigger, best controllers and best tracking. It uses a 1440×1600 LCD panel for each eye for a combined resolution of 2880×1600 with a very big sweet spot.

If you can, best would be to try the different HMD's before you buy one.

In MSFS anisotropic filtering doesn't help as the low-resolution look is caused by the orthophoto imagery itself. But for P3D it eliminates all blurries. In X-Plane anisotropic filtering is set to a high value, so you never have them.

sorry this is complete wrong, in msfs af at x16 makes a hughe difference, you better check you gpu settings under win.

  3. I would recommend you to test other HMD somewhere (friends ect)
But i doubt you will see a hughe difference.

Since I've been in VR with the HTC Vive/HTC Vive Pro time, it wasn't a problem for me to buy the Index, simply because i never had to buy the whole Lighthouse tracking again, still use the tracking system from 2016.
Also the WAND controller I still use today preferably for FPS shooter with a gunmount.
The Index is not the most expensive system for nothing, it has the best tracking, the best controllers
and largest FOV. The G2 has adopted many things from the Index, lenses
and the headphones for example. Otherwise it just has a newer screen.

A friend of mine just got a G2, after two days he will send it back, not because the quality,
the quality is superb but he get ill very quick in VR, i tell him not to give up so fast 😉

    good luck!
