I think at this point we have to accept the fact that we will sadly never have a flight simulator running smoothly at 60 fps Having a smooth simulator was one of the things that excited the most but now I'm disappointed. I was hoping my 2070S could run it smoothly at 1080p@60fps but it doesn't seem likely...

I don't understand why these people are playing at 4K 25 fps, it's just unpleasant to watch. It is clear that even with 2080ti at 4K it's far from smooth. It would be a much better experience to play this on 1080p with 60 fps.

GPU doesn't matter which CPU brand you pick, you can pick whatever you want. RTX2080S is slightly better or same as 1080ti I think. For selling it in like 6 months, I think the 2070S would cost at least as much as the 1070 costs today. I'm not living in USA so I don't know how GPU's sell there, but I would guess you should expect to loose around 200$ Personally I'm not expecting to play at 2K or 4K soon, so the 2070S will hopefully be enough for me so I'm not planning to upgrade to 3XXX series yet For the release date, no one really knows but I would say late September. There is also a chance that only 3080/3080ti gets released and 3070 a bit later, so if you don't have the money for 3080 there is a risk you'd have to wait even longer.

Will you loose money if you buy now ? Yes I was in the same situation as you but I couldn't resist and bought a RTX 2070 Super. I'll probably regret it in 2 months when the 3070 releases, but hopefully the 2070S will handle MSFS just fine enough to make me not think about it. If you have the patience, wait.

Aren't you never jealous when someone discovers a TV show you like and you already watched a couple of times? In the sense that he has the privilege to watch it from start without having any memory of it

now its our turn to get excited and discover msfs 18 august for alpha testers is just another typical day for us it will bring joy and excitement, will they be jealous ? I think so

If they fix their airliners first and reach an acceptable quality I may consider buying it. Otherwise I'll stick with the Majestic

they better fix the A320/747/787 first otherwise I'll never buy DLC from microsoft. rather spent money on majestic

So hoping that the airliners will be better in MSFS makes me entitled ... wow From the updates I see they keep updating the airliners and it's a 10 year project. I hope knowledgeable people will report every single inconsistency on their airliners so they can fix them

I bought a new PC and have to pay 120$ for the simulator. I don't want to spend any more money If the A320, 747 and 787 reach Aerosoft quality it would be perfect for me. I refuse to pay 200$ for PMDG airliners.

This event was so catastrophic Microsoft actions dropped by 4%. Halo gameplay footage looked like a game from 2010's... very bad graphics for next gen... People are saying MSFS is now the only release making the XSX worth because other releases were so uninteresting

I don't think anyone here is advocating for piracy. Some people are saying it's "normal" as in the sense you can't expect not to happen. Same reason I have to carry a bike lock when parking my bicycle somewhere in the city. I know without a bike lock it will be stolen 15 minutes later. Sadly it's the "normal" in the society we live in, if I don't use a bike lock and my bike gets stolen, people will blame me for not using a bike lock, not the thief

I've looked a lot of benchmarks and it is clear to me that these Ryzen cpu's are extremely overrated. I haven't found a single game where the ryzen performs better than intel cpu's yet. And I remind you that, MSFS is a game. It's not a movie maker application or 3d animation thing. It is a game. I don't see any reason why it would be so different than other games so that the ryzen will perform better. I think it is much more likely, that just like other games the intel will perform better. I agree though that Ryzens are better priced.

You have to pay your electricity bills in order to play it. So technically it requires a subscription.

how are so sure that your ryzen is better than let's say an i9 10900K ? because benchmark scores says otherwise

I think one of the most important things to attract third parties into the market place would be to offer piracy protection, like online check services for every addon. This would make really worth even 30% commission. Not only they'll have a huge new audience, and uncrackable software = $$$$ every addon should be bound to microsoft account and checked on launch

I think the 3080 won't be available easily until november at least. The initial stocks will be limited and probably expensive. I believe Youtubers will get it in September, first stocks late September but they will be gone quickly. And there is no point for waiting for the 3080/3080ti if you're not playing 4K or 2K, the 2060S is the best deal for 1080p@60fps. The 3060 won't be out until next summer

Yeah the Extra 330LT is literally a real life "arcade" plane. There is nothing wrong with its behavior in my opinion.

I noticed he was playing multiplayer (there was another plane besides him), so I think it was just his connection or the server that lagged. I don't think scenery loading would stop your plane like that.

You can still see them on A320 & 747 screenshots if you look close. But I think @n4gix is right it's because they are not illuminated.

I don't know if it's the camera but the nose looks weird. Looks like a WIP model to me, the engine blades are also missing

The flickering under the bridge seem like a Z fighting problem between the water plane and the bridge surface .. which shouldn't be down there. Weird.
