  1. Me too ๐Ÿ˜ƒ thx for the reply. Btw. ezdoc 3 with the AS4 integration is just awesome. And it is global. If someone is looking for more challenging turbulences and effects. Get it first. @Lorby_SI Thanks for the insight Sir.
  2. @ZKOKQ Nice, glad you like it. By any chance can you share time and date of that approach? When I tested it I had the AS4 debugging monitor open and could not detect any added effect that was not generated by AS and then altered by RealTurb. It sure felt different. I did just four test flights over the Rockies in the A2A C182. I can be wrong. If it was called AS4-enhancement tool or such great. But they claim to add effects to every hill and mountain. I just did not have that. Would be nice to test it further.
  3. Sethos was right, it seems to be a money grab. Would be nice to have a reaction from the devs. How can a .dll with out any sign of terrain data have such influence on the region? Where is that analyzed data? Until there are some answers from sombody with more knwoledge about such things I would not recommend it. It changes the behavior of the plane. But for the better or worse I cant tell. I hope I am wrong but for now I uninstalled it.
  4. Okay found the option to disable it in the addons menu. Also the handbook is to be found in the addons folder. Thats good to know and I like it. Next step is the test with and without Realturb. I am curious. Last flight I had some nice turbulences at Seattle right behind the sky scrapers. With the wind from the sea that is fantastic and some thing AS4 does not account for. Fingers crossed. ๐Ÿ˜‹
  5. 92ยฐCelsius? That's way to high. Check your CPU fan. Does it run? If so is your CPU fan lose? Did you use thermal paste? Your GPU seems to be fine. But on >90ยฐC your CPU throttles down to prevent heat death.
  6. Hmm, this software is a bit dubious to me. 1) There is no handbook. At least I could not find one. 2) No uninstall option. This really makes it hard to compare. 3) The developer has a Facebook page, that's it. They released addons before and stated all effects had to be hand placed so bigger regions are not possible. All of a sudden some weeks later they got the technology to auto process large areas. I like the idea of the product and if it realy does what it promises it should be worth the price for GA and Bushflying. I believe it does the job but could not test it because I don't know how to disable it. I checked the debugging menu in AS4 and it seems to let AS4 generate thermals more frequently above ridges for example and it feels good. Also it does not just generate turbulences. If anyone knows more about realturb, please share your knowledge. Conclusion at the moment: I am not sure about the benefits because it can be just imagination on my site.
  7. Uhhh, nice idea for EF to evolve. ๐Ÿ‘ But first, TOGA devs give me ENVTEX sky texture integration for EF, pretty, pretty please. When it comes to visibility EF is very good in my opinion. You can try it in flight for your self, if you are using AS4 and compare it in different weather conditions. Set fog mode in the mini UI to off and have hifi visibilty. Go to the main auto mode window in EF and set weather smoothing to ON, fog auto mode gets reactivated. I did that several times and it does work that way without any problems.
  8. For everyone that is annoyed by the simulation of eye adaption to light. Just turn down the value for "time delta" in the mini UI to zero and that function is off. I like (my value: 0.23) it but I can see it can be annoying. The points 1, 2 and 3 I did not have those or just dont understand (" I'm not sure if it's not hitting my PC to much"?). Performance is great on my system. Use AS4 with weather smoothing ON. I Adjusted the max visibility in AS4 to 200 because I get slightly better performance in bad weather. All my visibility settings are handeld by EF in auto mode. Thank you REX.
  9. A2A C182 together with AS4 and EZDOC 3 a good first impression. I did not excpect that. But that was just the first flight from 1S0 to KYKM 05/24 1644Z with this addon. I will do some more flights and report here. RealTurb does not add any shaking effects but the atmosphere and all effects feel more defined, so far I have no regrets buying this. Second flight will be KYKM to CYCD.
  10. If you can afford it, go for it. I used ORBX trees before but the TerraFlora ones are even better. They perform so well that you can ramp up your slider one notch. And that alone was worth the price for me. I would not fly with out them. And you pay once but trees in this quality and with realistic heights are a must for me. I enjoy them very much and can recommend them. They are pricy though but worth it. Best trees ever.
  11. @threegreen Thanks for the notification. I think I give it a try.
  12. Nice shot. Because the light travels thru the atmosphere. That same atmosphere "colours" the light. The sun always emits in the same spectrum. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  13. Totally works with as4 on my system. You can have a look in the auto mode setting ui (in EF not the mini Ui in p3d if that makes sense), their you can check witch system are currently "running" and therefore changing the clouds for example. If the item is "waiting" it just does that. Depending on the surrounding weather injections it can be that the morphing is very subtle or does not happen at all. Just like real clouds you don't see changes most of the time if you don't stare at them, but if the conditions are right you can watch the clouds morphing. If you see them getting bigger prepare for some turbulences. That's why I think EF isn't just an enhancement for the visual appearance but also a great tool to get actual feedback about the weather and what's happening around your aircraft. Flying into a rain cell is now more predictable just by the way the sky and the clouds change colour in front of you. You can always set the speed of the changes with the slider in the auto mode menu between 1 minute and 10 minutes. I like 5 minutes, I may try 10 minutes some users suggested for use with as4 (that's not required for as4 ๐Ÿ˜‰).
  14. Unless you are using the REX weather engine you don't need to run SF in the back ground. Just EF if you are using any third party weather engine. ๐Ÿ˜Š
  15. Version 5.0.2019.0514 Via download in SF or here for registered users: https://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/forum/235-updates/
  16. @tgiesigedid you try a reboot of your PC. Sometimes p3d acts up and does not close properly. Just asking.
  17. @tgiesige start EF fully and before P3D. Admin rights for EF. Or have a look here: https://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/51655-rex-mini-not-validated/ Hope that helps.
  18. Thats not the new update, the new one should be 2.2 ๐Ÿ˜™
  19. Me too. Just finished a flight and omg. I like it. I think that is because of EF. The cloud morphing still works and that alone transforms the sky to some thing that I like a lot (even without working structures, I cant wait to get the SF update - it will be amazing). And the lighting in the sun and changes of light intensity as I flew along mountains is superb. I used other shaders before but EF is something else. The longer I use it the more I am impressed.
  20. Hey, social media. He just wrote it and did not say it. And it goes both ways for customer and developers. Posts lack the information that are transported by facial expression, tone and body laguage. Don't get me wrong, but imagine you go to a pizza place and order a pizza. Would you step up to the counter and complain like: "This pizza sucks, I payed you to get me my pizza of choice, I would have never orderd a pizza here if I knew it would not taste as I imagined when reading the menu, and I will never ever buy from you again! Now get me a new one and pressto!" No you would not. Now imagin you work for 3 years on a project and then you get it out and it does not turn out to be free of failures. You wont feel good about it. But it sure hurts to read some of the later posts. I know that the comparison is not very good but if you think about it maybe you get my point and give FS1 some slack. What would you think of a customer that orders your pizza and complains like we do some times? ๐Ÿ˜‰ I know what he would get from me. But every one has the right and should complain! Otherwise you just lose customers and that is bad for business. That's why I think a developer must be tough because you can not expect that every written word is well thought out by your customer. Most of them are just as passionate about simming as you are.
  21. Now that is reaction to a building word not allowed storm! Keep calm and your heads up. Good luck. Love your work and would buy it again. And hear is how you build up a word not allowed storm. ๐Ÿ˜Š No offence, as I said it is different from real life conversations. Remember it is sunday and REX is working. I am guilty myself for that some times.
  22. Congratulation Sir. Just quick update on the situation. At the moment REX is on a bad luck streak. SF injects textures but not the structures. And now SF seems to have an update, but users getting the message "enter beta code" (technical issue already reported and acknowldegd by support). Brace your self for some salty comments. Thats just the nature of social media, it is diffrent from a real conversation. It is quick and easy to complain and the tone can get a bit harsh. On the other hand comments arent as bad intended as they might show. That is just a phenomenon of social media. My experience: Never take it personal but always serious.
  23. I dont know. Looks more like a bad luck streak to me. I dont have the feeling that there is a quality control issue or anything like that. Sure it can get frustrating, but to be fair REX does some pretty cool stuff with Sky Force and Environment Force. And now with the release of EF, LM released the hotfix. Maybe I am wrong but the SF update was released on 05/09 and worked fine and shortly after came the p3d update. So I am sure when they tested the software it worked in beta. Both products provide functions that are not just replacing but enhance what is in p3d. And I am sure they are working non stop to solve the problems. And the marketing, it is what it is. Eventualy every one will be happy. But you are right it is hard to have the standart cloud modles. Makes me appreciate SF even more. ๐Ÿ˜
  24. Silly question, but what is Your brightness setting in p3d? I have it at 1.0 at the moment.
