    I did find the answer and will leave it here just in case it's helpful to others in the future. The free "DLC" on Steam are actually just the base scenery, which of course means the direct download has them.

    Hello, I apologise if this has been answered, but I can't for the life of me find the answer. I'm looking to invest in X-Plane 11 and I'm deciding between Steam and a direct purchase, however Steam lists 6 free scenery DLCs that I can't find elsewhere. If I purchase directly, would I be missing out on these scenery files? Thanks :)
