Hi, Ive seen threads similar to this so many times with regards to P3D v4.5, with no reponses that seem to solve it. When on the ground at certain airports, and randomly by the looks of things, P3D goes from running smoothly (40fps) to suddenly running at 10fps or so for no reason. The only way to get it back to the normal FPS is to Alt Tab and maximinise minimise the window in random order until it regains the FPS. Now the only programme that links this bug seems to be GSX but to no avail this has never been answered or solved by them. Has anyone had the same issue / had the same issue that has resolved it? It seems like changing views seems to trigger it more, but even so, there are too many reported bugs with regards to this to have it unanswered. Cheers, A

Hello, Trying to run GSX after installing EIDW and just get an error saying COUATL has failed and in the error log get this message: couatl v4.0 (build 4475) panic log started on Wed Mar 3 20:06:58 2021 problem raised by engine or unspecified addon {'Airport': 'EIDW', 'User Pos': (53.42019170528212, -6.24973827973008, 75.6508 m, 1.88976 m, 336.4800109807401)} Does anyone know how to resolve this? This sucks so bad man 😞 IF anyone still has the original installer and is willing to share it'd be greatly appreciated. In the meantime I'll stick to a Cessna appearing as a 747 online for now ...

Forgive me for asking but does anyone have the installer they are willing to share or point me in the right direction for another similar programme? Juts done a clean install of P3D and forgot to back up and FLAI files.

Ive not installed / modified anything new since the sim ran properly last. Its litereally been since I used a new monitor but hardware shouldn't affect the sim. Any other ideas?

Still nothing I'm afraid even after deleting the shaders. I noticed P3D doesnt even show up in the windows taskbar at all (normally it appears straight away).

Hi All, Having a problem launching P3D v4.5 I have recently purchased a new monitor and since Ive used it P3D doesnt load. The P3D splash screen comes on only to lead to a blank screen. I noticed also in task manager that P3D is running under a "background application"? I have updated graphics drivers and I have attempted a fresh P3D.cfg but nothing seems to want to make the sim load? After the splash screen vanishes the sim doesnt appear in the task bar, and it just appears to be running in the background process in task manager and thats it. But the sim vanishes from any kind of view? Can anyone help? Cheers, Alex

Nope, used it for a day and VFR around the North of England, and had absolutely 0 issues?

As I said I've uninstalled and gone back to P3D as I'd rather have a simulator than a game? I used it flying out of EGCC and like I mentioned no issues really.

Hi All, Just curious I bought MSFS20 and used it for a lousy one day as I don't like it at all (but thats a seperate issue). I have a bog standard system that isn't exactly high end: AMD Ryzen 5 3600X 6-Core Processor nVidia GeForce RTX 2060ti 8GB 16GB RAM WIndows 10 I maxed out the settings on MSFS and it ran smoothly with great visuals no stutters and no performance issues what so ever. Yes the sim looked beautiful but I have returned to P3D as at the minute MSFS is a aesthetic game at best. My question is, I see people panicking all the time on here and on social media "Will my system run it" paying £1000's on new equipment etc, but if my system can run it smoothly, did we really need a super computer that everybody thought / thinks we need to run MSFS?

HI All, I know theres MK Studios / Aerosoft for EIDW, but I'm struggling to find any scenery for any of the following for P3Dv4.5 EIKY - Kerry EIKN - Knock EINN - Shannon EICK - Cork EGAE - Derry Its like the entire country has been forgotten about my scenery developers. Does anyone know of any that exists for V4.5? I know Eiresim used to be about in the FSX days ... Cheers, Alex

HI All, Ive tried applying in the Dynamic Reflection programme both INI / Chris O and other reflection profiles and get the following error: "Model not identical, do you want to conitnue importing the profile" I push yes and get the following error: "The following materials could not get applied: PMDG_737NGX_FUSELAGE_3.DDS [Index]: 22" I get the same error with the default Tomato 737 profile but it then loads and displays correctly in the sim, but I really want to try out the other profiles? HI All, I'm having an issue where sometimes changing the view causes a sudden drop of FPS to around 10. I leave it for a few minutes or pause and unpause and SOMETIMES the FPS are back to normal 40/50. I've read similar issues with other users but no fixes, does anyone have any advice? Cleared shaders / P3D.CFG etc. If I pause the SIM the FPS then shoot back up again but soon as I unpause the drop happens again? Cheers, Alex

Hi, Asked this on the ORBX Support forum but wanted to try get more help from here also. Firstly, this issue has been reported by several users, and the fact it happens just with this software and no where else in P3D beleives me to think its an issue with the scenery itself. Orbx EGNM runs with fantastic frame rates, but every now and then for a period of around 1 minute the frames drop to 2/3 FPS and renders the scenery unuseable. This only happens at this airport, yet when running EGLL Aerosoft with the PMDG 747 online on VATSIM with no performance issues, clearly highlights a problem with the scenery. I have noticed launching GSX does cause the spike to start the drop in FPS. But even with GSX disabled the spikes still appear randomly. Hi Guys, Quick question. I've been simming none stop for the last few weeks as you can expect. With the new cooler I've got the average temp was 65 MAX when running P3D under full load. I've noticed now its starting to increase with the average now again around 70 (sometimes). Is this normal? Ambient temps have been much higher (and humidity) in the UK, will this play a big part on the overall temp of the CPU? Or could I have installed the cooler wrong to allow temps to creep back up again? Dont get me wrong they are boderline between 65-70 average on full load (as opposed to 80 before the install of my new cooler). But brand new out the box the cooler was keeping the cpu around the 60/65 mark. Cheers, Alex

Hi Guys, Im still in the process of finding a shader I actually enjoy and think enhances the sim making it look more realistic. Please can anyone advice their favorite / know of any good shaders that literally help with realism? Im not bothered about nice fancy screenshot looking shaders but something to make the sim look more "real". Sorry if its a very generic question! Cheers, Alex
