  1. Or they're simply gonna use new aerials in next year's game and that's where the attention is right now? A possible reason, but the mention of updated aerials certainly hasn't panned out the way I thought it would, maybe they mis sold that at the beginning or didn't detail it specifically enough and it got lost a bit in translation.
  2. Do you use VR Zoom? If so can you zoom anywhere around the cockpit or is it limited to the panels/controls only. Thanks

I would say that the under the hood coding for the new sim to utilise more cores would mean PC users won't be tied down, they seem to be making a concerted effort to improve performance that will not only benefit Xbox but PC as well The question is will they improve specific PC graphical settings to go beyond what the Xbox can handle, i.e. giving PC users back the original Ultra Clouds from pre-SU5 before the mass regression.
  4. Yes it's a fact, the clouds pixelation since SU5 is a perfect example of a graphical regression to accommodate the Xbox release. Instead of maintaining the simulation to work on PC *with* Xbox they worked on PC *AND* Xbox. The LODs have basically been a mess since the start to be fair, the "tree line/circle" around the plane was particularly bad following one Sim Update (can't recall which, maybe SU5 also). MS/Asobo/Jorg of course deny and shy away from the subject during Q&As, but the evidence post SU5 release was/is there for all to see.

  7. VR users may disagree 👀 I wasn't initially fussed by this tool, but it could well be the kinda thing I need to push myself to learn ATC properly so I may well get it when released.

  9. Who decided your profile page icon and area should be bottom left? Not one single other website/forum I use has it down there, they are all at the top with a vast majority top right just as it used to be on flightsim.to before this dreadful change. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but they need to sort the basics out first before I spend too much time in this website again.

I miss being able to quickly see what new updates I have, now I have to scroll down half the page and even then the my Updates doesn't show exactly what needs updating....bit of a failure there. Change is always hard, there's some nice touches but certainly feels a bit rushed an weirdly implemented, never saw much wrong with the original layout s it may be a case of changing for the sake of change, not the sake of good.
  12. I was responding to the bold text, not the question. The fact remains that most, if not all mods will work in MSFS2024 out the box just as Seb alluded too at the Expo. There will be obviously new things aircraft modders can upgrade, again as Seb clearly stated. So to say (and I quote you again) "And it seems that MSFS2024 will require a lot of re-working flight model-wise for MSFS2020 aircraft. " is completely false information.
  13. You do what you want to do Scott, which is how you come across and that's great. Take peace of mind that in the Sim Racing world people scream & shout at the cost of a DLC that comes with 2 brand new cars with external data direct from the teams and a laser scanned track all for the measly price of £10....! As you say, you can't please everyone, unfortunately there will always be those willing to cry about the cost even if they have zero intention of buying the product in the first place! Anyway good luck with the future, without you mod teams it would be a very empty sky in MSFS 🙂

  15. I highly doubt any server side changes, lightning is just very sporadic in this Sim. If we start to see it in every storm planet wide then yeah somethings changed, but it simply isn't this way at all. It's one of those (many) items that I fear we won't see improvement now until we get our hands on MSFS2024, a shame when storms were great pre-SU7.
  16. How can you possibly know that? We've had zero, read zero communication from the developers about this bug. Only the usual nonsense from the moderators who don't know anything other than it will be fixed "in a future update".
  17. I still find it incredible that grown adults (supposedly) bicker sooooo much over the cost of add-ons/dlc in every simulation market (flight, racing). This after spending thousands on their PC, peripherals and rigs. Perspective people, this aircraft costs the same as a meal for two in a restaurant with the wife. One will give you joy and make you happy for many many years, the other will demand the bins are put out a day ahead of collection! Anyway, watching the videos for sure she does look a beaut, the sounds on take off are great. But it's not my kinda bird, so ignoring the cost, it'll be a pass from me anyway but one to put on the wishlist perhaps, just incase.
  18. As ever their ignorance towards game affecting/breaking issues is astounding (see SU7), all we've been told is it'll be fixed in a "future update"....dreadful response, but I expect nothing less to be fair!
  19. I'm the opposite and find that Sky4Sim does practically everything I want it to do, will keep an eye on this one though but it needs to work in VR otherwise it's pointless for me!

Firstly you can run VR in DX12 but the option is currently only n the PC section (for whatever reason) so it still works, unsure on other graphical options in PC and not VR as I've not messed with settings for ages. Secondly, generally speaking changing other settings in PC should not really have an adverse effect if you have the same settings in VR as that's where the sim will read it from. There was a time a while back where people were convinced changing the PC section to LOW for everything boosted performance whilst HIGH drained, but Asobo did fix that issue and/or it didn't affect everyone. Other than that the monitor "mirror" *should* not affect performance at all, I did tons of benchmarks long ago in this Sim and others with a VR "mirror" and there was no difference in FPS/performance.

It's got worse recently so that more users are affected by it, exactly the same as the White Dot issue which was reported two years ago and made worse in the recent AAU2 update to affect more people. It's what happens when they don't pay proper attention to bugs & issues because they have a severe lack of quality control, those bugs & issues eventually get worse and spread to more users, I've seen in before in other games.
  22. It's been happening since release, not everyone notices it and it's worse for some not others. Like a lot of things it's even more noticeable in VR as your eyes get triggered by it!
