  1. I have had this aircraft in FSX for a long time and almost every time I get flying it stops FSX no so munch CTD but freeze it up,I have look into it and it almost all the time says it is a sound problem.Try to find and uninstall it but could not find one any ideas how to uninstall it ?????
  2. Hi Guys, I've started to experience CTD only since I installed OPUS weather engine. I was trying to find a solution in forums but seems like nobody has same issue. Basically I get CTD always at the end of flight. Either when touchdown, taxiing or at gate when shutting down engines. Which airport doesn't matter. The CTD is occurring at every airport I land after a normal flight. Maybe someone of you has the knowledge to read and actually understand the following error. Your help is much appreciated. Thanks, Tim See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC000014B): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000014B at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo) at Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.SimConnect.RequestDataOnSimObjectType(Enum RequestID, Enum DefineID, UInt32 dwRadiusMeters, SIMCONNECT_SIMOBJECT_TYPE type) at ..( timeRecvr, DateTime FSXStarted, DateTime FlightStarted) at ..() at ..(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.8000 (FX35W81RTMGDR.050727-8000) ---------------------------------------- UT2Services Assembly Version: 2.1.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.1.0.0 ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect Assembly Version: 10.0.61259.0 Win32 Version: 10.0.61637.0 (FSX-Xpack.20070926-1421) ---------------------------------------- msvcm80 Assembly Version: 8.0.50727.8428 Win32 Version: 8.00.50727.8428 ---------------------------------------- System.Data Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Transactions Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.EnterpriseServices Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Management Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.7905 (win9rel.050727-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.ServiceModel Assembly Version: 3.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.4506.7903 (Win9Rel.030729-7900) ---------------------------------------- SMDiagnostics Assembly Version: 3.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.4506.7903 (Win9Rel.030729-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Web Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.8001 (FX35W81RTMGDR.050727-8000) ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Serialization Assembly Version: 3.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.4506.7903 (Win9Rel.030729-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.IdentityModel Assembly Version: 3.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.0.4506.7903 (Win9Rel.030729-7900) ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.7903 built by: Win9Rel ---------------------------------------- System.Xml.Linq Assembly Version: 3.5.0.0 Win32 Version: 3.5.30729.7903 built by: Win9Rel ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. 3. Hi everyone! I'd like to report a potential bug which results in a CTD. I was flying from Athens to Dubai and while I was cruising at FL330, I entered FL350 in the FMC and autopilot and the aircraft started to climb. Then, I navigated to the CRZ page of the FMC, and clicked on "ECON" (LSK 4L if I recall correctly). This made the simulator crash. I haven't tried to reproduce it, but I guess it will have the same result. Is PMDG aware of the issue? If not, it'd be good to have it fixed in the near future. [i am using the latest version of the NGX] Regards, Panayiotis Tsioufis
  4. Hi there. I am pretty much a complete novice with FSX, but I recently just built a computer with some pretty good specs and I am having a CTD when I switch views in FSX. Sorry if this question has been answered before, but if anyone can help me I would so appreciate it as I just got this computer and its quite frustrating. Also, the program in general doesn't look all that amazing. Any tips to make it look better would be great! Here are my specs: GEFORCE GTX760 Intel i5 4670K @3.4 8 GB Ram Windows 7 Home Premium Here is what the event viewer reads: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: uiautomationcore.dll, version: 7.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x4a5bdb1d Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x0000e52a Faulting process id: 0x13a4 Faulting application start time: 0x01cf4db1cb4d8bae Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\uiautomationcore.dll Report Id: 9e7a3b45-b9a7-11e3-8e4c-bcee7b8a00da
  5. The AVSIM Crash-to-Desktop (CTD) guide provides information on what you can do when you get one of those dreaded CTD’s while running FSX/P3D/FS9, tips on preventing CTD’s, and some actual fixes for some known CTD’s. A CTD includes incidents where FSX/P3D/FS9 freezes up during a flight or you receive a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD). Except for some known causes of crashes, each CTD must be investigated and this guide will provide you with some tools to assist you in finding the cause and taking corrective actions. We hope this guide will be sufficient and prevents you from the dreaded task of uninstalling/reinstalling FSX/P3D/FS9 and Windows. The link to the guide can be found here - http://forum.avsim.net/files/file/65-avsim-crash-to-desktop-guide-for-fsx-p3d-fs9/. If you encounter a CTD, please follow the instructions in the guide for 'what to do' after getting a crash. Links to the AppCrashView or BlueScreenView are included. Best regards,
  6. Hello everybody ! I know that you've already seen this kind of problem more than once, but i really tried a lot of things with this one, and nothing has actually solved my problem. It would be very kind of you if you could help me with it ! I hope it will be helpfull ! So let's start this story ! I bought the 737NGX from PMDG one year ago, and since that day, nothing is the same. I fly on IVAO since a long time (2005) and my FSX never crashed before. 90% of my flights with the NGX crashed during the descent, in final approach or in cruise. These crashes simply stop my FSX with a CTD, then "FSX doesn't respond anymore" and eventually, I have to close it myself, by ending the process. This usually happens when I try to do something in the Virtual Cockpit, while i'm preparing the descent. As said above, I have already tried a LOT of things and tweaks and I made a list : - uiautomationcore.dll - FSUIPC install (http://forum.avsim.net/topic/355100-g3ddll-workaroundfix-to-prevent-fsx-crashes/) - Install and run FSX and NGX as an admin - Format my disk and do a clean Windows 7 64bits and FSX installation - Use the NGX without any other add-on So after a long time of research, I'm asking myself if it could be a problem with my Hardware, but my PC is not that bad, I think. I will post my config and my fsx.cfg this afternoon. As for the APPCRASH event, I will post it ASAP. A friend also told me that my FSX Installation CD could be corrupted and installs not correctly the sim. Do you think this is possible ? Please do not hesitate to ask any questions you need ! I really hope you will help me to solve that big problem of mine, because the NGX is a great add-on and because I really miss flying smooth and stable ! Thanks in advance for your help and I wish you all a good day ! Grégory Scyboz
  7. I am receiving an error when moving my aircraft from one point on the map to another using the map. The audio gets real quiet and affect other programs like Team Speak. I am CTD when using an ACMI program that automatically moves my aircraft to last known position. I know the first thing you may think is its the ACMI. This is being looked at in another forum. So please don't rule out any other possibilities because I am still seeing an issue when it is not running. This only happens in one specific area in the world and its just outside of New Zealand around Auckland AFB. It doesn't matter what AC I am using but I can count on CTD once I cross KENNE. I reparied both FSX and acceleration and verified all my scenery files are correct. I run Windows 7 64 bit Intel® Core™ i7 3770K 3.5GHz NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 670 (2GB) Thanks for any assistance Drew R.
  8. I'm hoping this is the correct place to post this as I do not see a CTD sub-forum like in the FSX forum. I have been having intermittent CTD's all pointing to the same file, MSVCR100.dll. I have posted the entry in the event log below: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 2.0.9448.0, time stamp: 0x528edbf4 Faulting module name: MSVCR100.dll, version: 10.0.40219.325, time stamp: 0x4df2be1e Exception code: 0x40000015 Fault offset: 0x0008d6fd Faulting process id: 0x2284 Faulting application start time: 0x01cef2b5c5a7cd84 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\MSVCR100.dll Report Id: 4009bea9-5ebd-11e3-a2bf-3c970e67be26 I have this CTD with different planes (payware and P3D) and seems to be scenery independent. The only consistency I seem to have is if I minimize the P3D window for awhile (> 5 minutes) then the sim crashes and that entry is made in the event log. Is anyone else having this problem? If yes, have you managed to solve it?
  9. I usually CTD under moderate load after about 45 - 1 hour in FSX. Usually larger planes like NGX and Q400 with larger airports whilst using the fmc and such. 10. Ive ran this app to discover the problem with my fsx crashes it comes up with Fault Module Name: StackHash_1604. Can anyone help me to try and fix this and where it would be located.
  11. Often when I'm opening the FS-Actions menu in the FMC I get a CTD (crash-to-desktop). Most of the CTD's i get seem to be FMC related. Is there a way to fix this problem ? I'm using 737-800/900 NGX on Windows 8.1. Regards, Maurice Hamerslag
  12. Hi everybody! I couldn't find any solution for this issue on the internet so in my desperation I ask some help with this. I have run a lot of tests to figure out what causes the exact problem of my FSX fatal error at gate arrivals of each flight. I experienced that the problem always caused by FSPassengers, but only under DX10. I use Steve's DX10 fixer and scenery addons, but when I make flights in DX9 mode there isn't any crashes. I don't understand the connection between FSP and DX10... It causes ntdll.dll error, the event viewer's message is the following: fsx.exe 10.0.61472.0 475e17d3 ntdll.dll 6.1.7601.18247 521ea8e7 c0000005 0003a74b a94 01cf2be187df1ee4 C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll fcd681cc-97eb-11e3-8a26-d43d7e9128f2 System error codes is not my cup of tea so I write my system specs, maybe it helps: MSI Z77 MPower I7 3770K at default clock MSI GTX680 Lightning Avexir 16 GB DDR3 1600MHz Windows 7 x64 I would be glad if someone could give suggestion or solution for my problem. Thanks in advance.
  13. A little tip I picked up from my VA Chief that worked like a charm for me. I suddenly started getting CTD and FATAL ERRORS after 2 weeks of flying fine all over the US but suddenly I was FATAL ERRORING while trying to depart Tampa to head back home to Texas. I could not get off the ground. Going through start up checks.. CRASH... Taxing CRASH. Thinking about a steak dinner, CRASH. This is something you should do frequently, say after every 3 or so long flights. This is considered Basic FSX Maintenance to keep your sim happy and relatively crash free on this type of crash problem. 1. Navigate to your %appdata% folder and go into LOCAL (Not ROAMING). Find your Microsoft folder and your shader folder. Go into the shader folder. Delete the Shader10 and Shader folder if you have them. Be sure you don't PERMANENTLY delete them. Just delete them to your recycle bin. If something screws up you want to be able to restore the files. 2. Navigate to your C: drive to the ProgramData folder. Navigate to your Microsoft and then FSX folder inside the ProgramData folder. Delete the Facilities and SceneIndexes folders. Do not touch any files outside these folders or the SceneryCache folder. Once again, do not permanently delete these files. Leave them in your recycle bin encase you need to restore them. 3. Start FSX and let it rebuild your Facilities, Scene Indexes and Shader folders. Fly! PROFIT. This little maintenance tip got rid of my CTDs and I was able to come home to Dallas Love in Texas. Hope it helps anyone out that is experiences this type of sudden crashing after your FSX was working fine for days. This type of CTD commonly shows up as D3D11.DLL or StackHash type crashes in Event Viewer/AppCrashViewer.
  14. I was just reading a thread on when to Overclock, and it got me thinking who has more stability issues with our sims, those who Overclock, those who don't, or does it matter? I don't OC because I can't I have a Dell system which doesn't allow me to. In return though my FSX installation has been stable since installation in 2007 (It's a E6850 3Ghz C2D system). Other than OOM's from using addons that eat VAS, which is a totally differnt issue not related to this question, my system has been rock solid. So I'm curious what others experiences are and if there may be any correlation where OCing may have played a role. So other then OOMing, consider stability, in terms of unexplained CTD's, Graphic anomalies or any other unexplained problem you are having with each Sim (Do not count Frame Rate Issues). I'm going to include FS2004, FSX, P3D, XP10. Thanks
  15. Hi, I've rebuilt my simulator PC over the weekend and have got it running line a dream now. Up until this point I've not had many issues, in fact no issues other than what is described in the issue tracking thread. However, whilst planning an arrival into London Heathrow, I managed to crash FSX to the desktop. I restarted and performed the same steps and it crashed again. I then did it a third time to be sure that I can reproduce the issue. I was wondering if the issue is only isolated to my sim or if it's a bug? Can someone please test this and let me know the results? This is how I managed to get the CTD and how I am also able to reproduce the CDT on my sim. 1. Program the arrival into the FMC without pressing EXEC afterwards. 2. Switch to the LEGS page of the FMC 3. Switch to MAP view 4. Switch the LWR CTR display to NAV 5. Crash Is it only on my sim that this is happening? Thanks Rynardt Never mind, I just saw this has been added to the issue tracking thread...
  16. A lot of individuals have placed the Uiautomationcore.dll into their main fsx folder (Vista Version) to avoid FSX Menu crashes. I just found out that some fsx software addon is installing the wrong version of the Uiautomationcore.dll into the main fsx folder along with their product. I discovered the wrong version as I once did not believe in placing the Uiautomationcore.dll into the fsx directory as I thought it causes other anomalies. It supposedly only fixed FSX Menu crashes/freezes but others have stated it fixes all crashes. I have kept this dll out of my main fsx directory as I didn't believe in this fix but this weekend I had a ntdll crash and ran the AppCrashView program and discovered that the Uiautomationcore.dll was in my main FSX directory!!! Now who put it there!!! (not saying but I saw in the PMDG 777 Intro guide that they recommend this dll in all installations and provide a link to the WRONG version). The version I found was 6.0.6001.18000 and that's the wrong version. The correct version is 6.0.5840.16386. If you do not remove the dll or use the wrong version, you will get a freeze, an apphang, or ctd. The correct version is located in the AVSIM Software and Hardware Guide - http://forum.avsim.n...-software-guide. Click on the latest version of the guide. Goto Page 17. Once you download the version you will have to rename it to Uiautomationcore.dll and then drop it in your Main FSX folder. You can check to see what version is installed by right clicking on the dll and then selecting Properties. Then look at the Details tab. If you have to 6.0.6001.18000 version you need to remove it immediately. I'm still not positive that this dll (the correct version) will fix all of your crashes, problems with the PMDG 777, 737NGX, the FSDT Addon Manager, etc., etc., but it might. I have tested the correct version and no longer get an ntdll crash. And, according to Zeljko (B247NG), it eliminated freezing, stutters, and CTD's and the FSX Menu was more responsive and there were fewer stutters in the PMDG 777 and everything was smoother while running FSX. In my testing, I definitely saw most of my stutters go away and things seemed much smoother during flight. In case anyone is unaware, the uiautomationcore fix is only for Windows 7, 64 bit users. If you have Windows 8 installed, it is not compatible and you will see problems if it is installed. I think this is a fix for a lot of our problems.... Best regards, Jim
  17. Hi guys. I'm a new user in the forums. I have been using fsx for some time now. I have recently built a new system with an intel i5 4670k. My last system was an amd rig on which I had no issues. I have reinstalled fsx a total of 4 times with all addons. I cant for the life of me get rid of this msvbvm60.dll error. I have fsx aacceleration UTX GEX AND REX. I have tried with and without addons and the same error continues at random. PLEASE HELP. ... System Specs are i5 4670k 16 gig Kingston hyperx1600. Gigabyte z87 ud4 mb. Hd 7970. Installing fsx on its own drive. As stated before, the only upgrade was mb and processor. I have reinstalled window 7 64 3 times now also.
  18. I didn't know which forum was appropriate since this is a CTD and a Multiplayer VATSIM issue. I will let the Moderators decide. Here's the problem. I am now ready to fly on VatSIM. So I installed FSINN and FSCOPILOT per the instructions on how to get up and running successfully on a Windows 7 system. There are two problems now. 1) If I try to load any flightplan, and it asks if I want the plane to be moved to the new location... if I click YES I get an instant Fatal Error CTD. I uninstalled FSINN and FSCOPILOT immediately to see if that had caused this new CTD behavior. Yep. It did. When I uninstalled FSINN I could load flightplans normally and move the aircraft to the airport and gate it needs to be at without CTD. Reinstall. CTDs return. 2) I cannot START the simulation inside a PMDG 737 aircraft. Or rather, I can not start FSINN while inside a PMDG 737 aircraft. FSX stops responding and I have to kill it through the Task Manager. If I load in any default FSX aircraft FSINN works fine. Now I believe there is a posted issue about starting in the PMDG with FSINN and how you aren't suppose to and that you should start the sim with a default craft and THEN reload with the PMDG? I think it has something to do with FSINN trying to index all the AI aircraft available. The crashing while loading flightplans though is a killer for me. You can just move the airport to the airport without loading a flight plan with no problems. But you try to load up a flight plan you created using any external program and it bombs out. It wouldn't be a big deal if I wanted to fly VatSIM exclusively I suppose. But I like to fly in a really busy world with ATC running and VatSIM cannot always provide that so I will want to fly offline.. but now can't. Any clues? This is like my 3rd attempt to get up and running on VatSIM. Going to hang up the towel if I can't fly with flightplans and PMDG loaded.
  19. Hi, I was flying the F1 B200 around the New York area yesterday. On my third leg (EWR-PHL), suddenly a windows system sound (two-note low-to-high pitch sound, it's the default for new mail in Live Mail) started going off every 5-10 seconds or so. A minute or two later, FSX kindly informed me that it was no longer interested in flying. I haven't suffered any CTD's on this computer before, and I've certainly never heard of the combination of windows system sound going off followed by a CTD. Any experiences? Any suggestions or solutions? Unfortunately I didn't note down any error messages (if there was any). EDIT: I have an i7 3820 running on 4.6GHz, my system shouldn't be a problem. I have no add-ons along the east coast, payware nor freeware.

  21. Hi, I just recently installed PMDG 737NGX on my brand new machine that I just builded for FSX, and I am experiencing a hugh drop (50%) in FPS when flying with 737 NGX. If I fly with the default 737 or any other, I have no problem with performance. I get somewhere around 12 FPS and I usally get 25 - 30 FPS. I just hope that 12 FPS is not normal because I understand that this aircraft uses a lot of CPU resourses due to overall detail of aircraft and systems on board. In addition, I experience other issues like CTD "fatal error message" when I end the flight - this happens 50% of the time. Also, If I go to map during the flight and whant to come back to the game, my screen gets all messed up, or if I have to go to desktop: same thing. I appreciate any help on this. Thanks. 23. Hello to the Avsim FSX Forum. I haven't been here for quite some time. Now that I'm back, I find I could use some of the knowledge that is so prolific in this forum. I had been running FSX on an older 3.6 Ghz Pentium machine with 4 GB of RAM, a standard 7500 rpm hard drive and dual monitors. I got decent performance with the sliders averaging around the "medium" settings. I got some mild stuttering in turns, particularly in high density scenery areas, but all in all, FSX was playable. I just replaced that older computer with a "hot rod" that has an Asus Sabertooth P67 Rev. B3 motherboard, the Intel Corei7-2600 CPU, 6 GB of fast RAM, a Western Digital Raptor 10,000 rpm hard drive, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX560 Ti graphics card. The clock speed of this system is 3.4 Ghz. This computer breezes through 3D games without even breaking a sweat, of course. And then, there's FSX. Surprisingly, it runs so slowly that it's unplayable. I can disable one of the 2 monitors, back all the sliders down to almost 0, use one of the supplied FSX aircraft and get it smooth enough to play it, although it still has the "jitters" in turns. There is something wrong with this picture. I realize that not all of the capabilities of this system actually benefit FSX, but I would certainly expect it to run that program as well, or better than, my older system. Is there a magic bullet I have not discovered, yet, that might keep FSX from bringing this computer to its knees? Are there others out there using the Corei7-2600 CPU and Nvidia GPU that are having similar problems? And, if the Corei7 and Nvidia users are not having those problems, could those users, or anyone else who has some ideas, share their FSX setup with me so I can see what I might be doing wrong? Thanks a lot for whatever help you can give me. I have been out of pocket for quite some time and was looking forward to getting back into FSX. So far, my reintroduction has been a bit disappointing to say the least, but I'm sure there is a workaround somewhere. It's good to be back in the forum. I hope everyone is doing well. Dewey
  24. Hello, I just installed the RXP GNS430/530 WAAS and when I install the RXP with the Realair Duke V2 config panel, everytime it crash when FSX is loading, same for Carenado's planes with rxp installers. But when I install the RXP with the default rxp installer it works and no crash. Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance. I can't have a 3D GNS and the default gps's remains here, that's a little anoying.
  25. Hello fellow simmers! I recently bought the PMDG MD-11, and I've got to say, it's an amazing aircraft. I absolutely love the way it handles and all of the systems. But now.. I found out that after programming the FMC, starting the engines etc. and getting ready to depart (which takes about 20 ~ 30 minutes), the game just freezes, my cursor changes into a the hourglass icon, the screen goes white and a new window comes up saying "A fatal error occured" and "Restarting Flight simulator X" (Or FSX.exe, not sure since I'm not planning to do all this again just to get that error again.. ). This is very frustrating since I just want to land this thing instead of programming/taxiïng and not even being able to actually fly it. I hope someone can help me out! Other installed FSX addons: PMDG 737NGX (with 737/736 expension), PMDG 747-400, CLS a340, Aerosoft Airbus Extended X, CS 777, CS 767, CS 757, FSrecorder, FSDT GSX (demo version), EZDok and World of AI. Yes I have put a lot of money in my hobby and I'm planning to keep doing this. :-) And could there be an addon conflict? I am running FSX on Windows 8.1 64 bit version, compatibility mode set to Windows XP (SP3) for FSX. Greetings!
