About Me

  1. Hello everyone my name is Marc, I've been suffering from CTDs for a week now, I have pretty much done everything that could possibly be done. First of all here are my specs: CPU: intel i310100F GPU: AMD radeon RX5500xt 4gb vram RAM: 16gb Storrage: 3TB Here is a list of what I've done: 1- verified game files on steam 2- fresh windows install 3- turning XMP off in bios 4- removed all mods in the community folder. 5- reverted my GPU drivers 6- ran all CMD file checkers (even though i am on a clean windows installation) 7- ran event viewer and here are the results: Faulting application name: FlightSimulator.exe, version: 1.37.19.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll, version: 10.0.22621.3733, time stamp: 0x44653e19 Exception code: 0xe06d7363 Fault offset: 0x000000000005f39c Faulting process id: 0x0x1234 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DAD13C19481D9E Faulting application path: D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\FlightSimulator.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\System32\KERNELBASE.dll Report Id: 81a0de2f-879f-4379-a4eb-7719be498f76 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: If there are any steps/procedures i should take please let me know, as i am fed up
  2. Last weekend I tried doing a flight between KMIA (MS default) and SACO in FS9 (default, reworked AFCAD, default terminal buildings added and photoreal ground textures I generated in SBuilder 2). Keeping with Murphy's law, I was getting a CTD just at approach. After checking with AppCrashView, I saw it was a StackHash error, for which the CTD guide did not give me the best hope. I was fearing a reformat... After trying again (I had just saved 30 NM before the airport), I ran Process Monitor along with FS9, until it crashed. After weeding out all the DLL crashes (every single DLL in FS9 reported buffer error), I found the culprit was a missing winter texture (it's winter in Southern Hemisphere). Turns out that I only generated summer and night textures (and autogen), and forgot to generate all other season bitmaps. After generating all season textures, I could land with no issue. Hope this helps when you see this type of CTD.
  3. Hi, I am using P3D 3.2 on a Win7 machine (4,5 GHz OVC, 16 GB RAM) with Nividia GTX 780 Ti with 3GB RAM. My old monitor was an ultra wide screen with 3440 x 1400, and I never had a CTD with this setup. Now I have upgraded to a 55 inch TV with 4K resolution, and experience a CTD after about 3-5 minutes of every flight, no matter which plane. I am using ORBX scenery. In the event log, the panels.dll is mentioned as the cause of the CTD. Would it help to upgrade to a better video card, lets say a GTX 980 Ti with 6 GB? Thanks, Thomas
  4. Dear All, I've spent weeks in these forums following virtually every solution listed, to no avail. Situation: PMDG 777 long-haul flights - some (most) of them crash after between 3-8 hours. Like others, I am really frustrated. I'm willing to do what I have to do to make this right, but I am hoping that P3D and/or PMDG and/or the good folks on here will be willilng to help me out, too... as I am out of ideas. Many Thanks David Mathews
  5. Since updating to P3D 3.3.5, 777 CTD on final approach and landing whenever A/T or A/P are disabled and inputs are made on the joystick or throttle. 737NGX works correctly and 777 autoland works as well. Manual inputs from takeoff up to final approach are not a problem. All software and drivers are the latest available. System: i7-5930K 4.1GHz, 32 G memory, 2x GTX 980 in single GPU mode on two monitors WIn10 14905 (although this problem does not seem to be Win10 version specific - has occurred on all Win10 versions from release of P3D). Saitek X52Pro with 7.0.53.6 drivers AS16 MyTraffic 6.0A ProATCX on separate computer AppCrash shows the fault modules as being either StackHash_e70a or PMDG_777X.dll. I have the detailed AppCrash dumps and a saved approach that reliably crashes during final. Thanks, Dave P.S. Can someone help me with how to paste text, etc. on AvSim? I cannot make it work. I'm using IE11.1. Must be a setting I'm missing.

  7. I have one problem with this beauty - during final approach or taxiing after landing or even after quitting, my Prepar3D is crashing, with abnormal code 0xc000041d and faulting module "unknown". I'm focusing on 777 because I have it only with this aircraft. It's not a VAS problem because I was monitoring VAS all the time and it was ok. My specs are Win7 Home Premium (it have 3 days, freshly reinstalled), IntelCore i5, GeForceGTX760, 16GB RAM and Prepar3D v 2.5 Did you maybe meet similar problem or know how to solve it? I'll be grateful for help. Marek Romanowski.
  8. Hi Everyone, I know that we are a dwindling number of fs2004 users, but I hope that someone can help me out with a ctd problem which has recently started occuring. I get a CTD when loading a flight. The progress bar gets to 100%, the scenery and sound loads for a fraction of a second, and then black screen and the message that fs9 has stopped working. This does not happen everytime I try and begin a flight - around 80% of the time. I have not made any recent additions to FS, other than to update my Navigraph databases to the most current versions. It happens at any location, with any aircraft, including default. I have recently updated my graphics driver, but FS has worked subsequently to this. I do use NVIDIA inspector set up according to the well-known NickN settings. Hoping that someone has experienced something similar (and solved the problem!) Thanks in advance
  9. hello everyone i have installed a new windows 7 ultimate and here is my spec i5 2310 intel HD Graphics 2000 1 TB Hard 4 GB Ram due to major errors on windows 8 and 8.1 i have switched to windows 7 now i have planned a short flight from EDFH to EDDM so i loaded PFPX and Loaded fsx with Aerosoft Frankfurt airport addon and munich add on with blackbox a340 i adjusted fmc , ground , fspassenger and finally take off i used a GEBD1A STAR now after reaching GEBDA Waypoint fsx freezed completely and loading icon on the mouse pointer so i waited up to 30 minutes but no luck NOTE : This the hundered time thats this error happening for me and with several airports just after taking off within 5 to 10 minutes fsx freezes comletely when i open event viewer ,, the fsx error doesnt appear but before two days .. an error with unknown dll Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61637.0, time stamp: 0x46fadb14 Faulting module name: unknown, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x00000000 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x43fb4c09 Faulting process id: 0xbe0 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1ac5f0233ff3c Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: unknown Report Id: e738ce2e-185f-11e6-90cd-80c16eee5a00 sorry for bad english
  10. Hello, I tried this figure out on my home forum, P3D forum, but nowhere no effective help yet. I am new user of Prepar3D, changing from FSX. And sorry for my english. Three days ago I installed Windows 10 on new SSD HDD, check or install drivers for HW and then the first application I installed was Prepar3D v3.3 (last version I could download). After install I start the sim and hit OK in the menu. I just wanted to look how it looks. No addons. Then loading started, and when the status bar reach 100%, the program froze there a little while and then crash. No message, no problem, just dissapeared. So I tried for at least 5 times, everytime the same situation. So I was checking event protocol during loading and there was no fault log (that one with the red exclamation mark and nothing else either), only some log where was marked prepar3d.exe as a faulting program, but no faulting module or other information. When I had a problem in FSX, the event protocol was the first thing I started to look what happened. Only once there was faulting module as facilities.dll, but in other 20+ tries to runup the simulation there was nothing. I really looked forward for new sim, better performance and first of all I need it for my bachelor thesis and the first experience with this sim I got is CTD, wich I have many times with FSX, that so sad. I asked on this on P3D forum, but no effective advice for this time. http://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6312&t=119573 Here are the things I tried to figure it out without effect: Changing planes, locations, time Delete Prepar3D.cfg Added AffinityMask = 84 and erase path in Situation=... (see this on the other topic with same problem: http://www.avsim.com/topic/443954-p3d-will-not-start/) Repair the program Reinstall the program Updating all drivers I have Made sure that my primary graphics is my nVidia and not the motherboard adapter. (I cannot simple disable it, in my BIOS is only option for setting one of them to primary. The other one will be disable automaticly. I dont know if there is any other option. I have ASRock B75 Pro3-M). My desktop machine: Windows 10 Pro 64 bit Intel Core i7-2600 3.40 GHz 16 GB RAM nVidia GTX 960 I please for any advice. Thank you for your help, have a nice day. Jiri
  11. Hi there, Hoping someone can help - I've been getting some very annoying CTDs from FSX recently, which seem to happen whenever I either 'end flight' or do something which requires a change of aircraft. The application either freezes or just crashes out. The details of the error are: System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0xC000014B): Exception from HRESULT: 0xC000014B at System.Runtime.InteropServices.Marshal.ThrowExceptionForHRInternal(Int32 errorCode, IntPtr errorInfo) at Microsoft.FlightSimulator.SimConnect.SimConnect.RequestDataOnSimObjectType(Enum RequestID, Enum DefineID, UInt32 dwRadiusMeters, SIMCONNECT_SIMOBJECT_TYPE type) at bo.v() at bz.g(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.OnTick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Timer.TimerNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) I have to be honest I know very little about simconnect, and this error doesn't really mean anything to me. If someone can shed some light on what it means, and how I might go about fixing it, that would be greatly appreciated, Kind regards, Tim
  12. Hi all, Long-time lurker, second-time poster. For the past year or so, I've been having regular CTDs of my FSX-SE install, usually fatal errors, and most often citing NTDLL.DLL as the faulty module (others, though not as frequent, have included terrain.dll, g3d.dll, etc.). I've been able to resolve them on specific recurring flights (e.g., where the crash would happen at a certain point on the same flight and the same aircraft) through various means, including (but not limited to): Switching from FSX to FSX-SE; Deleting my fsx.cfg, rewriting it and then changing certain key settings (e.g., display, wideview, and others) back to where they were, but leaving everything else the same; and Reverting to the 2012 schedule in MyTraffic X (MTX) 5.4c (after reading that this could be an issue in the AVSIM CTD guide). Each of these has fixed the problem temporarily before it rears its ugly head again. Most recently, I did the MTX fix above after continually getting crashes in the same place on a KDCA-KORD flight using a freeware 737-700. But when I wanted to do a KDCA-KMVY flight on the JF XP 800A this weeked, the sim consistently crashes at about the same point (right after I reach cruising altitude, and just about to cross the MD-DE border). I tried deleting and rewriting the fsx.cfg this morning, but even that didn't fix it (I've been able to replicate this crash four times, both before and after the attempted cfg fix). My specs are below: Intel Core i7-4790 3.6 Ghz 16G RAM NVidia Geforce GTX 970 (344.16 drivers) WIN 7 64 Bit SP1 FSX-SE is installed on a 100 GB SSD, but with all addons is taking up almost the entire disk. The install includes: REX Essential Plus Overdrive FTX Global + Vectors MyTrafficX 5.4c (running Autumn 2012 schedule; see above) Various payware and freeware aircraft and sceneries. I've had a look at the CTD Guide and searched these forums, but none of the fixes I've tried seem to work. It looks like my returns and possible fixes are dwindling, so here I am... anyone have any pointers on what's going on and how I can resolve this? I really just want to enjoy my sim and don't have hours upon end to explore these issues. Here's the most recent crashlog: Many thanks in advance to the much more experienced and smarter FSX wizards here who might be able to take a look and advise! A lot of drinks are on me if you are able to get my sim running... J.
  13. Hi all, i've been getting this error every time 5-6 secs after loading up an aircraft. this started happening 2nd time after i started using free weather engine FSXWX. 15. Hi all, Rather new to simming and this is my first post after just joining the Avsim community (I do apologize if this thread is in the complete wrong place) So recently when I've been flying on FSX:SE I've been ALT + Entering to get into window mode and then check ATIS and Skyvector and other sites on Chrome while flying but as soon as i get into window mode and click on my desktop FSX crashes. I've got some event viewers which I think should help someone hit the nail on the head here and basically any help is appreciated. Do bear in mind I have been googling for about 2 weeks now a fix to this and have still come up short. Disclaimer: I am using a laptop and it actually runs really well 20-40 FPS with FTX sceneries, REX OD and Aerosoft A320 which is surprising but it does run well. These crashes never used to happen! Straight from my event viewer I get 2 Application errors - First one Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9a9a Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.10586.306, time stamp: 0x571afb7f Exception code: 0xc0000008 Fault offset: 0x00026e13 Faulting process id: 0x1e8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1d66d78f5fe82 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll Report Id: 5bf49a66-b20a-4ad4-84eb-507cc3247b61 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Second one Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.62615.0, time stamp: 0x559f9a9a Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 10.0.10586.306, time stamp: 0x571afb7f Exception code: 0xc000041d Fault offset: 0x00026e13 Faulting process id: 0x1e8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1d66d78f5fe82 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll Report Id: 02ed35b1-1e73-4012-a337-253b641027e0 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: Let me know if anyone needs any more information and I will try my best to get it for you. 17. FSX used to work consistently but now crashes on start up resulting in the screen size increasing then decreasing in a constant loop.Occasionally can fly for a minute after restarting but crashes again and again. I have updated RAM and Graphics card with no resolution as well as reinstalled software. Any help appreciated.
  18. Greetings from Norway! Before anyone shoots me down with friendly fire: I´ve posted this issue at the FS-labs developers forum, but figured I´ll try here as well! (Tried registering at the INS-developer forum, but the forum requires administrator approval, which I´m yet to receive.) I took the plunge last week, and bought the FSLabs Concorde X. I've spent a lot of hours at the gate, fiddling with the INS, completing all the steps in the tutorial, and yesterday I was ready to give it a go down the runway at Heathrow, as pr. the tutorial. However, the flight was cut frightenly short, and I never even made the first turn.. P3D froze, and after a few seconds dissapeard without a trace. In the event viewer i found this: Faulting application name: Prepar3D.exe, version: 3.1.2.15831, time stamp: 0x5672b60a Faulting module name: CIVAC.gau, version: 1.51.0.0, time stamp: 0x47017511 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x00001990 Faulting process id: 0x1568 Faulting application start time: 0x01d1732123aa13f3 Faulting application path: E:\Prepar3D\Client\Prepar3D.exe Faulting module path: E:\Prepar3D\Client\civa\CIVAC.gau Report Id: 4eacfb3e-2b51-46a1-8f2a-ebaddd78b3f6 Faulting package full name: Faulting package-relative application ID: This is the first time, in a very long time, a CTD has presented itself in P3D. I've spent the last few hours trying to figure out what might cause the CIVA.gau to crash. ( And yes - I know the CIVA.gau is the core of the 3rd party INS-system.) What I've tried so far: 1. Re-download and re-install the INS-software. 2. Run P3D as administrator. 3. To make sure, I also granted my username access to all the P3D-program files etc. 4. Disable Panel Stretcing in p3d.cfg 5. Start the sim in Windowed mode. 6. Re-install as administrator 7. Vanilla p3d.cfg 8. No add on scenery. 9. Increased the Desktop Heap Limitation, as pr. the AVSIM CTD-guide. 10. Checked for driver updates. 11. Disabled overclock. The problem arises a few minutes after departure, after applying roll to either left or right. I've made a saved scenario at the beginning of the RW, and have tried loading "ready for takeoff" panel state, to see if it makes any difference, but it don't. I'm a rookie to the INS-simulation, and litterally have no clue what to try next:( My specs: HW: i7 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.5ghz @ 4.9 Custom Water Loop. 2x EVGA GTX 980 Classified SLi 16gb 2400mhz Kingston Memory 4x 256 GB Samsung 840 EVO SSDs 1x Dell 3440x1440 display. 1x Dell 2560x1440 display. SW: P3D 3.1 Windows 10 Nvidia 361.91 driver. Have any of you experienced a similar issue, and how did you go about resolving it? Best regards, Kristoffer
  19. Hi, Has anyone else noticed an occurrence or increase in CTDs since a recent Steam or FSX-SE update? Any time I have made any type of flight between airports recently I have got a CTD, and I noticed there was an update to FSX-SE not long ago. I didn't have any problems at all up until a week or so ago. Now I have had three CTDs in the past two days. I have been able to fly around different airports with no problem, but if I make a flight plan and travel between two airports I have been getting a CTD. Unfortunately the module that is supposedly the cause in Windows Event Viewer has been three different modules. First one was a PMDG Options dll (and I wasn't even using a PMDG aircraft), second one was the g3d.dll and I just had one now flying between Jersey and Guernsey (!!!) and the faulting module was the terrain.dll. All of the flights have been short (Jersey to Guernsey, Athens to Heraklion) and it seems to only be when I am approaching an airport after having flown a route with a (VFR) flight plan. I flew around Heraklion for around an hour the other day, making three or four touch and goes, and flying around the surrounding area, also making touch and goes at a nearby airport, with no problem. When I tried flying from Athens to Heraklion with a VFR flight plan I encountered a CTD when approaching Heraklion. I am stumped as the faulting module has been different every time. Has anyone else been encountering similar CTDs? Cheers,
  20. Hi all, Never thought I would be a victim of CTD but recently (started around 2 weeks ago) I have been experiencing P3D hangs after ~4 hours into my flight. The hangs are triggered by mouse clicking, on the PFD, ND, or just looking around with middle wheel. The hangs usually take place when I am about to (or has entered into) descend into my destination. Not too sure whether the hangs are caused by the descend, or the fact that I am approaching the 4 hours mark. Up until 2 weeks ago everything works flawlessly – this is what baffles me the most. Given I have no restore point saved, I have tried formatting my entire hard driver where the P3D is installed, deleting all P3D folders in all the places (AppData/Local, Appdata/Roaming, ProgramData…etc), and performed a clean reinstall for all software. For the first two hangs when it started happen I had these apps running: P3D v3.1 Latest version PMDG 777 FS2Crew v1.7 Latest version ASN FSUIPC v4.949f GSX v1.9 After the formatting and a clean reinstall, the first two hangs I had the same apps running as above, and in the last two hangs I had these: P3D v3.1 FS2Crew v1.7 Latest version ASN FSUIPC v4.949f To be honest I don’t think it was those apps that caused the hangs. I am suspecting it is more like conflicts between P3D/PMDG/Windows Update - because this is as far as I can recall if anything has changed between the hang/no hang situation. I will update my system spec later, but I am running P3D on Win7 SP1. Has anyone experienced the same recently? Really want to practice my landings
  21. My Sim has been repeatedly crashing with MSVCR80.dll and API.DLL faults, Any thoughts on what i can do. Tried toning down the settings, all C++ and VC files seem to be current. Not Sure how to proceed. I am pasting below the last three crash reports ==== ==== Version=1 Regards Vybhava Srinivasan
  22. Hi, i am looking for help. So far i have been using succesfully SFX 1.5 + FlightFX. No issues and great visual experience. Now i decided to move to SFX 2.0 and i cannot start FSX up. It crashes few seconds after launching fsx.exe. I tried both d9 dll and dxgi one. I deleted App data/Roaming/Microsoft/FSX folder and recreated it. I run fsx.exe in admin mode. Nothing helps. My system: W7 64bit, GTX970, FSX Acceleration, DX10 mode, Steve's DX10 Fixer, nVidia inspector. Any advise how to fix it would be highly appreciated. Kind regards, Kris
  23. Good evening all. I posted this in the P3D forum yesterday and have not received a response so I'll try here. I know this is long and I am hoping it’s something stupid on my part, but I can’t seem to lock down this issue. Background: In order to install P3D V3.1, I deleted all P3D V.2 software and associated add-ons from my hard drive. I left FSX on the hard drive (K drive) as a backup so I could still fly if I had issues with P3D. I did delete all of my FSX add-ons in order to leave space on my hard drive for P3D. I had run P3D V2.5 with the same add-ons on the same system with no issues besides OOMs which are to be expected. Problem: I installed P3D V3.1 on about 3 JAN. I installed a registered FSUIPC, the ORBX products, REX, and ASN in the days following. I flew some quick flights with several default aircraft out of a few different default airports to test ORBX, REX textures with soft clouds, ASN etc; I had no issues. However, after installing the PMDG 777 and Aerosoft A321 and trying flights with them, I started getting CTDs. They were about one to two minutes after takeoff with PMDG and about 4 minutes after takeoff in the Aerosoft Airbus. I can sit on the runway in either aircraft without the CTD for as long as I want. The fatal error occurs with or without ASN running, at different airports, and different weather conditions; I have not tested with default weather textures. The Windows event log reads as follows: System - Provider [ Name] Application Error - EventID 1000 [ Qualifiers] 0 Level 2 Task 100 Keywords 0x80000000000000 - TimeCreated [ SystemTime] 2016-01-07T21:35:48.000000000Z EventRecordID 24459 Channel Application Computer Dave-PC Security - EventData Prepar3D.exe 3.1.2.15831 5672b60a sim1.dll 3.1.2.15831 5672b60a c0000005 000cafa4 12b8 01d149924c58740a K:\P3D Main\Prepar3D.exe K:\P3D Main\sim1.dll 9d9f5ec1-b586-11e5-9607-00268317052a Did something not get deleted properly from P3D V.2 that is causing a conflict? Registry errors? Is there an issue with installing al my P3D V3.1 and associated add-ons direct to my K drive and not C/Program Files (x86)? Graphics card drivers? P3D settings? (I have not touched the .cfg) and am running 3.1 with roughly the same settings that I ran 2.5 Hardware: Win 7-64 English i7 26K OC to 4.3GHz ASUS P8P64 MOBO 8GB DDR3/1600 memory GTX 780 - Driver 347.88 232 GB SSD for P3D/FSX and supporting software 111 GB SSD for Windows and small programs 3 monitor with TH2G Software: P3D V3.1 Installed in separate drive K/P3D ORBX Global Base Installed in K/ ORBX Global Vector installed in K/ ORBX Trees Installed in K/ REX Texture Direct with Soft Clouds and P3D V.3 service pack Active Sky Next with SP4 Beta for P3D V.3 No add-on Airports Norton Internet Security PMDG 777 base pack (No add-on liveries installed) with the latest PMDG installer as of 05 JAN 16. PMDG Operations Center is also up to date. Aerosoft Airbus X latest downloader with no add-on liveries installed. In the mean time, I'm going to install P3D 3.1 again, and try both airplanes with no other add-ons, then apply each add-on and continue to test. Thanks, Dave
  24. Hello everyone, I have been having this problem for a while now. When I try to fly the Aerosoft Airbus at UK2000 Heathrow, the sim will freeze sometime between startup and takeoff. I can't even takeoff! Everything will be working fine until suddenly, the sim freezes but the sound keeps going. I have rebuilt the cfg many times and applied only an affinitymask 84, highmemfix, and forcewindowedvsync=1. Everything else works fine. Along with this, the safedock systems have disapeared along with their support poles at the non gate stands at UK2000 Heathrow. Please help! 1251452
  25. Hi guys. I really need your help. FSX was performing well on my system until I installed that freeware Lockheed Constellation that is so popular, I 'll get the name for the next post. Lh, and a DC-4 from the same website. After I uninstalled these two add-ons, FSX was getting a CTD with the weather.dll file. Then, with the api.dll file. So, I repaired FSX and now I was getting an FS_Recorder.dll-related CTD. So, I uninstalled FS Recorder v2.18a. But then, FSX will load with nk errors, and I can set up and launch my flight. A few seconds after the flight is loaded, the simulator crashes to desktop, nut there is no message of any error whatsoever. I've tried to see in the AppCrashViewer and in the Windows Event Viewer if there is any error report, but there isn't any. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Thanks.
