Hello PMDG, hello fellow forum users, oh boy I'm so glad I can once again enjoy this beautiful 737 on it's latest V4 rework. Thank you guys for this quick port to V4. For one that only now did the switch to P3D, the waiting was horrible. I purchased V4, cleaned my system (fresh OS install) and waited like forever to be able to fly something. Here my experience: 1. Installation: went pretty smooth on my end. I did run as admin and it was a "click and forget" thing. 2. Activation: Again no problem at all. 3. Flight. Did already 5-6 short flights mainly EDDM, LRTR, LIEE, LIME, and so on and had no issues. Regards, Gerald EDIT: I thought I had an issue with the Electrical Power Control Display. I was wrong! I had GND Power connected. My bad (remowed that from my previous post).

Hi All, I've had the NGX since August, when it cam out, and it works fine, until the HGS stopped working. I had to uninstall FSX, and the NGX. I put it back on about two weeks ago, and the HGS Isn't working. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Hi all,This is just for the record. System specs are at the bottom of this note. I've tried more than two dozen flights but *all* have frozen and CTD'd or just CTD'd. All but 3 of the flights followed the tutorial. Some CTDs were while on the ground, some during the takeoff roll, most in the air. All setup instructions from the Introduction that can be implemented have been implemented. As the PMDG MD-11, 747X, & J41 all work fine, I'm going to assume there is a PEBKAC and put the 737NGX aside for a while and watch this forum for a while. Hi, I bought and installed P3Dv4 a few days ago but allowed it to install into the program folder instead of directly onto the C drive. I then bought and installed the PMDG 737NGX for P3Dv4 which automatically installed into the P3D folder and also added various scenery packages which are also in the P3D folder. I now find, on reading the PMDG instructions in the operation center (which clearly I should have done first) that the 737NGX should be installed directly onto the C drive. The PC has two SSDs. It seems to me that the cleanest way for me to sort this out is to restore my PC to a previous date (I have images of both drives taken a few weeks ago) and thus clear out everything - P3Dv4 / PMDG 737 / ORBX etc, and start again, this time installing P3Dv4 directly onto the C drive and then allowing the PMDG 737 to install into the P3D folder. Does this seem like an acceptable solution and will my original ID and key allow me to reinstall and reactivate the PMDG 737 ? Any advice would be much appreciated, Philip McComiskey Ireland

Hello, This Post is mainly centred on newcomers to the PMDG 737NGX and in no way is it critical of the PMDG manuals, however this Book written by Captain Mike Ray takes the strain out of the PMDG manuals and makes flying the 737ngx more relaxing. The book title is 737ng Training Syllabus simulator and Checkride, NOT the 700 series which does not include the NGX. I have been flying the 737ngx since day one and reading this Book has enabled me to try more elaborate procedures because it is easier to navigate through the pages and get the right result. The cost of the Book may be a bit high to some of you, I paid £50GBP. I am only trying to help out.

:( Happy New Year all!Loving my SP1b 737NGX by PMDG! Only small issue, as stated in the title, is the N1 and Speed buttons never seem to light up when I left-click on them? Does anyone know what could be happening there? When should those buttons be able to be clicked on (and light up and remain lit)? Seems I can't do it at ANY time pre-CMD A or afterwards, with both FD's on...Anyone with an idea how I could troubleshoot or resolve, please advise? Thank youins!Robert

Hi everybody! This is my first post, so take it easy please... I recently bought the NGX and I am pleased to say that it is simply mind blowing!!! Every single switch and knob can be pressed and turned, the paint in the cockpit has been chipped off and dust covers the FMC, and then there's that sound.... Anyway enough stating the obvious, how do I turn on the HUD? I click it, but it just comes down, but the fighter-jet like green diagrams don't appear?.. What am I doing wrong? I certainly hope it's not an issue with the airplane...

Just a few shots of PMDG 737NGX at FlightBeam's KSFO X (Amazing Scenery!) I tried to get a few shots at takeoff but I forgot I was flying online so I couldn't do so. Sorry :)

Having spent the last 30 minutes flying around Manhattan X, I'd like to start with a huge THANK YOU to the team for this amazing work of art! Three years has finally paid off and the result really is quite magical! Back on topic... I've come across a few users now, who like myself, have external hardware which at this stage is not compatible with the NGX. I'd like to ask what kind of release timescale we are looking at with the SDK, alongside the other variant releases. Having an NG home cockpit, the NGX is pretty much useless to me without these hardware drivers, at least from Saitek and GoFlight... I understand that the SDK will be available to hardware developers only, and that they must distribute drivers FOC. Obviously this immeadiately rules out any idea for interfacing an overhead panel, for example. Your thoughts on the subject would be appreciated.

Hi This question is maybe a bit stupid. But working in 2D I can not view FMC, overhead panel, throtteles and etc. These things were added like a tiny buttons ...shortcuts...where are they now or how to get to FMC i 2D, 737 NGX. gura75

I'm sure when i say this i am speaking for most if not all in this forum, PMDG are one of the best fs addon development companies and are very busy with the pending release of the 737 NGX. All these posts about will it be today or won't it is silly really, because we all know that it will be here when it's ready. Let PMDG live up to there name "PERFECTION".

Well for a very long time i've been searching for a replica model of the 737NGX. Out of pure choice i don't fly anything else in FSX apart from the 737 series. But now i will be able to sit back and admire the full detail and fantastic looks of this new plane we will be getting from PMDG in several day's. This may come across alittle petty but one of the most annoying things that's always bugged me with previous versions of this aircraft, is the shape and look of the engine intakes.. But now i can take a chill pill as it's on this new aircraft. Another one was the black stripe on the wing, with other aircraft this always seemed blured when on the wing view but not now its perfectly designed to perfection.

To all ATI card users, just alittle bit of info i have come across today. I have an ATI card and driver version 11.9 was released this evening. In regards to the NGX i have noticed slight increase on performance about 5% and when i go outside now i don't seem to get that skeleton effect. Just remember this maybe something in my system so i urge people not to take this as fact but i thought i would share. Regards Stevie

I noticed today when flying out in the early morning, the outside of the NGX stays extremely bright. I am using UT2 for traffic and the AI is dark, but my airplane isn't. I have PTA installed with the Thopat preset. I've attached a few pictures to illustrate my issue. Does anyone have a fix? I was thinking it could have something to do with the specific livery I have used. At night in general, the aircraft is always too bright. Also, when flying through cloud at night with dynamic lighting on, I can't see the clouds with landing lights on (should reflect quite brightly), I use ASCA for clouds and Envtex for everything else. . /

When I start the second time the Scenario (at the first time it's OK) 737-800NGX House Winglets a very short time after loading all 19 systems the Cockpit moves a Little bit and the vehicle lies on the belly and gears are up. So you see this on the next Screen with some clouds of dust. Then the Default Scenario starts automatically. Do you have an Explanation ? Thank's

This must have been asked a zillion times but the search came up blank. I purchased 737NGX on my old computer. I now wish to download it again to my new PC. I have the registration key of course. I cannot find anywhere that tells me how I do this.

Hi everyone, Im having this odd problem: I updated my P3Dv3 Navaids using this website: http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids3.html . I then started my usual flight from EHAM and noticed I couldn't ask permission to taxi (yes I do use ATC in P3D). I believe the reason for this is that I can't tune the actual frequency 121.558 on the 737NGX's VHF, it just has 2 decimal places. My 737 is up-to-date by the way. Any solution to offer other than rolling back my navaids to an older version ?? Thanks, Mehdi Mezhoud

Hello guys, I have this problem when I load a sceneario of a mid-flight 737ngx flight. Usually when you start the sceneario, the plane "initializes" itself for about 20 seconds. When I load the mid-flight sceneario, the plane is still in the initialization phase, so the autopilot won't work. This reults in the plane flying straight down and eventually crashing. Can anyone help me with this who had a similar situation before?
