Hello, I actually wanted to buy the Mindstar GNS530/430. However, I realized I will buy a new, fast computer in a few months. I just wanted the Mindstar because it's very lightweight. But when I buy my new PC, I can also use heavier things. So why should I now buy a lightweight, old GNS 530 without "Bells ans Whistles", when I can have an awesome touchscreen GPS for the same. But there is still some time between now and the purchase of my new computer. And I finally want to get a new GPS to fly IFR. The minimum requirements of the Flight1 GTN 750 say: CPU: Intel core i5/i7 quad-core or equivalent RAM: 8GB GPU: Nvidia GTX 500 series or equivalent with at least 1GB memory OS: 64 bit Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP My current system looks like that: CPU: 2.1 GhZ Intel Duo Core RAM: 4GB GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4500 with 512 MB memory OS: 64 Bit Windows 10 SIM: FSX: Steam Edition Is there any chance my sim will run with FPS other than 5 FPS? At the moment I am used to around 16 Frames per second. In flight sim this looks so smooth. So: Does it need lots of resources what maked the whole computer laggy? I just would like to bridge the gap between now and my pc purchase. Thanks!

I just updated my Arrow - Seneca and Seminole in MSFS and noticed that they will utilize something almost identical to the GTN 750 - and the Carenado site and shows the following is available for their aircraft The product is from GPS for MSFS2020 (pms50.com) Has anyone tried this yet?

Hello everyone, Currently I have an intel 4770K overclocked to 4.1 with a Nvidia GTX 750. When building this system, I was very concerned with budget, so I skimped on the GPU. I recently learned that this might cause a bottleneck in the system. My question is, how much better performance will I get with an upgraded gpu, and what is the most cost efficient price per performance gain card to get? (preferably another Nvidia card) Thanks in advance, 1251452

Greetings. I've been scouring these threads trying to find a solution to a vexing problem re the use of the 750. Expert help greatly appreciated a this point after far too much trial and error! Had it running fine, then installed Carenado Baron + REP. Found need to start tweaking and something is now clearly out of whack. Issues/questions as I identify them: 1. Does the plug-in for the Carenado install to its own folder or should it work off the X-Plane 'general' one in root folder. I use latest ver. of XP11. 2. How do I completely uninstall the RXP GTN 750 prior to a re-install? Is it more than delete ProgramData folder plus the plug-in? 3. I had the same issue as many others with the installer 'needing to update files for the Trainer', but I think that's now sorted. 4. I see I have TWO GTN 750's available. I imagine this is normal. If needing only one, which one should I use? Does it matter? Is their potential for conflicts? I mark just one unit as 'Master' and assume the other is therefore inactive? 5. Should the GTN 750 lock th default Garmin units in the Carenado Baron, B58, C172? Sometimes I can toggle the frequencies from these units (to check capture) sometimes not. Cutting to the chase ... The 750 lets me use all GPS features except capture LOC or GS, so that precision approaches via the 750 even with VLOC selected currently not available. I will happily send the Xplane.log or whatever else you might need. Regards Gareth

Been trying to get this new Reality GTN750 to work in my Xplane 11-20. It fits nicely into the 3d panel of the Carenado PC12 for xp11, but the screen renains black/blank. The 750 powers up, touch to continue and the next screen with my email address comes up, touch the small area that turns blue and then the whole screen just goes blank. If turn off Avionics bus off & then on, the 750 powers up again and repeats the same process. The Garmin trainer seems to work just fine, although I don't understand the connection between the two, just that you need the trainer installed. Does it also have to running at the same time, I've tried this but it makes no difference.
