  1. I got ChasePlane a few days ago and it has transformed my experience to a whole new level with all the planes I have tested so far. Have setup RealAir, FlySimWare and A2A planes successfully so far. Only problem at moment is that CP instantly hangs when I load the A2A Connie (all other A2A birds are fine). Loading another plane will fix it immediately. The sim is not affected itself although the mouse goes juddery until I shut CP down or load another aircraft. The Connie is EXACTLY the type of plane CP suits best so I hope I can get it working soon! CP crashes whether using the stable or experimental versions makes no difference. Task Manager shows 10% use - CP doesnt crash if I force stop it asks am I sure. Just completely suspended interface while the Connie is loaded in my sim. Can you see from my logs what the issue is? Thanks!
  2. From time to time, someone shares some of their screenshots of flights to and around Africa, and more often than not, the lack of variety for African airports comes up. Like most of those who comment on the paucity of African airports, I feel a similar hope that someone will add to the list of African airports. Thankfully, there are a few very nice freeware airfields available for GA around Southern Africa, Vilankulo and Inhambane in Mozambique being two of my favourites, and what better aircraft to enjoy life under African skies than the Cessna 182 from A2A. So, here then, is a selection from a recent flight I did around South Africa and Mozambique, hopefully this will encourage you to consider booking that safari you've thought about, or just load up your sim and take a trip to the beautiful continent that is Africa that way. Leaving Johannesburg behind for Inhambane, it's a long flight, so I suggest you bring some snacks ... droewors is highly recommended, and maybe a peppermint crisp if, like me, you have a sweet tooth. Passing over the Witbank Nature reserve, with the Olifantsrivier (Elephant's river) in the background. Good thing this plane has an autopilot, it takes less time to fly from Johanneburg to Nairobi with Kenya Airways than doing this flight. Still, you can't beat that African sunset. A little over four hours later, and we're down at Inhambane. First order of business, a trip to the men's room, Crème Soda may be the greenest refreshment one can get in a can, but it makes its presence felt over 4 hours. Having paid the landing fees, a trip to the nearby lodge for a braai and a couple of cold ones.
  3. Hello, I made a Cessna Home cockpit and to make it works with A2A C182 & C172 I need to make a LUA Script with A2A LVAR. Because I don't know how to code on LUA, I'm cherching a developper for a LUA mission. You can contact me on MP to discuss the modality and the prices. Waiting for your answer Ludo
  4. A2A Connie KLM "Flying Dutchman" repaint, 4:45 pm local, just reaching the East Coast of Italy from Dubrovnik, AS4, ASCA Global setting, ENVTEX, ENVSHADE, FTX Global et al. Enjoy!
  5. I wonder if anyone has had a chance to compare the Spitfire Mk1/II offered by JustFlight and A2A. They are both early model Spitfires from the Battle of Britain period and both seem absolutely excellent. JF make a fully functional demo available and I loved it but the A2A version, though it's been on the market longer, seems to have an even better VC and flight dynamics. Both are real winners so I'm not wanting to seem like I'm being critical of either, but I am curious if anyone has been able to try both and if so, how would you compare them?
  6. An online flight with PilotEdge.net (best service around!) in the A2A Comanche KAVX-KSAN. Addons used (a lot these days lol) Active Sky, ASCA, Envtex/shade, Orbx Socal + KAVX, Latin VFR KSAN. 7. I have recently purchased the the RXP GTN750 for FSX SE. The product appeared to install fine, the trainer works. I’m using the Comanche 250 from A2A. They have their own app for going the gauges. Used this and selected the flight 1 750 as there’s no 750 listed for RXP?? In game, the 750 shows in the aircraft no probs. Go through aircraft start and power up the avionics. All work except the 750. I have found a couple of other articles relating to an ‘always on’ setting. Couldn’t actually find where to make such a config change. I’ve also noted that the installed loc of the 750 DB is in different loc to that specified in the user manual. I created a windows variable with the correct loc and this made no diff. Any help would be much appreciated, tia.

  11. Hi, I have to say A2A Simulations are making a generous offer with their continued Sale. 👏 Not only did they have their P-40 for free for P3Dv4 for free when the Corona crisis first started, but it is also recently updated various products and the P-40 is now available and on sale for P3Dv5 as well. https://a2asimulations.com/product-category/p3d/ I look forward to flying this in v5! Cheers
  12. Here you can download the LINDA aircraft module for the A2A C172 Trainer Installation notes: Download and unzip it and place the two folders into: */Microsoft Games/Microsoft Flight Simulator X/Modules Say "yes" if he'd like to overwrite anything Your current Combo settings wouldn't be overwritten, but you find in Modules/linda-cfg/aircrafts/A2A_C172 files named *.default. name them to *.lua to use them Note: If you installed the full version of LINDA 2.5.7 you will need to remove the default C172 folder for this module to work. Find folder \modules\linda\aircrafts\c172 and move to new location or delete. Do the same for \modules\linda-cfg\aircrafts\c172. Download: A2A C172 v1.03 See update below. Update 11 Mar 2015: 1.0.1 > 1.0.2 changed ALT inner and outer knob behave as it wasn't correct. Same with VS up/down 1.0.2 > 1.0.3 added missing ident.lua file
  13. A2A Connie 1/3 of way to LOWI from LSGG, today's date, ORBX scenery, AS4, ASCA, ENVTEX and ENVSHADE. Enjoy!
  14. First flight in my new Bonanza. I've got no GPS, I'm flying the needles and it's mostly IMC on a short hop from Bremerton Natl PWT to Skagit KBVS in the Pacific NW. My routing was a radar vector onto V165 to ISLND, then from there I shot the NDB Ry 11 at KBVS with a circle to land to Ry 4. The whole thing was tricky due to a monster ssw wind (it was lovely aloft - had a ground speed of 202!!)... I had a crosswind for the entirety of the non precision approach. routing by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-1 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-2 by ryan b, on Flickr Even without GPS the aircraft is well-equipped for IFR with dual nav/comm, ADF and DME. 16. Hi all. I am struggling to get Linda to make "bigger strokes" when using the X-55 trim buttons (wheel) on the throttle, its painfully slow. I have set up FSUICP according to this thread to make the aileron Trim faster using OFFSET SWORD Increment / Decrement http://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=115&t=40237#p303155 This works a treat, but as its a button assignment I really want Linda to do this for me not FSUIPC, can anyone help me with the required Linda code please. Many thanks Rog.
  17. The highly-awaited A2A Bonanza V-Tail has been released for Prepar3D v4 and FSX. The release early this morning follows a fifteen-minute promo video posted on the A2A Facebook page last night. Infamous for its high performance and unforgiving flight characteristics, the Bonanza V-Tail is one of the most recognisable General Aviation aircraft in the world. The A2A rendition promises faithful flight modelling alongside many of the features A2A customers will be familiar with from their previous products, including an immersive pre-flight 'walkaround' process, an authentic engine simulation model which responds to actual ambient conditions and usage and realistic gauge physics to provide a highly realistic cockpit environment.

  19. BOAC repaint of the A2A Connie at FL 110 at 11:00 Zulu yesterday in Sweden from ESNQ Kiruna to ESNN - Sundsvall-Timrå. I flew a P3C Orion in Sweden 43 years ago when I was in the Navy. As best as I can recall, this shot captures the extremely cold look in the dead of winter. (ps--thanks much to Poppet for her screenshot tutorial)
  20. The very gifted Steve Drabek recently showcased the consequences of insufficient planning for stormy weather, and was given a number to call for those who don't quite do flying just right. He was kind enough to promise to pass that number on to me, I just wanted to show him why I think I should also have that number. I would discuss it with my instructor, but, they are, understandably, hard to come by now. Steve, if you're reading this, you have nothing to feel bad about, you have followed the old aviation guideline of landing at least as many times as you have taken off ... that is not true for all of us
