Hi Simmers my problem is, I see different coloured squares in my MSFS. The higher I get, the more different squares I see. Some lighter, some darker. Perhaps they are not loaded correctly? Especially in Gatwick, Glasgow and Edinburgh. For these three airports I have installed add ons. But it also disappear I have also installed MSFS MAP Enhancement but there is no difference if I turn it off. With or without Google, different squares are displayed all the time. Does anyone has same problems or know how to solve it? Thanks a lot

I should have posted earlier... The 5.1 sound installer wasnt working in the earlier releases of the 777 for V4. Raised a ticket. Got a response saying it would be fixed when a new installer is released. New installer released. Fixed. oh and no Microsoft, for the 47th time I do not want the Bing bar, I would not like it on a boat, I would not like it with a goat... Thanks PMDG

Looking at the background of Orbx's new CEO (a PhD, a connection to information science, and an interest in "high growth and turnaround outcomes"), some questions that have been on my mind seem relevant: What, precisely, are the "quick growth and turnaround outcomes" available in a company that produces scenery for flight sim platforms? Why would one of the wealthiest companies in the world, Microsoft, decide to invest in a.......flight simulation game (that it's killed twice)? So....to what extent is MSFS2020 actually a proof-of-concept for something that would make Google maps look like an etch-a-sketch (because BING has been mentioned frequently in the promo material)? What if Microsoft embedded a light version of this sim in BING? Is ORBX (not to mention Meteoblue and NavBlue) planning to get baked into some future iteration of BING and get paid till the sun goes supernova? That would certainly realize their new CEO's interest in "high growth"--cos it sure can't mean even more TE regions for XP11. 🤣

I dont own the sim yet but having spent hours watching YT vids and reading these forums I was just wondering about something. Its almost like MS created this amazing virtual Earth first and then having realized its potential they stuck a flight sim onto it. Would that go some way towards explaining some of the bugs/missing features that I see other simmers mention in numerous threads? Which lead me to my other train of thought. If there was no such thing as Bing or any other satellite photo database online would we still have seen a new sim from Microsoft? I guess what Im getting at is was there a desire at MS to release a new sim all along or was it solely the tech of satellite-photos that drove them towards this? No doubt it looks fantastic and I marvel at all your screenshots and uploaded videos, even though theres bugs they will be ironed out in due course. I look forward to getting it one day once I have a capable system.
