If you haven’t yet had a chance to see it for yourself, YouTuber Dreamsofwings recently posted a lengthy demo and review video. Spoiler alert: no, the balloon cannot do 400 knots (sorry Airforceproud95!), but it is nonetheless a highly enjoyable mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Check out the demo video below! 2. Chaotic is not around to post this looks like, and David got his earlier post deleted, so I'm going to give it a try ... just keep in mind that I ain't no ChaoticBeauty :) https://www.flightsimulator.com/september-8th-2022-development-update/ The full release of Sim Update 10 is on its way, slated for next week! While we are pinpointing the exact day of release, our team is currently adding in our final changes and updates for SU10. Beta users can expect one final test build coming shortly. We have also been closely working with NVIDIA regarding our DX12 optimizations and we plan to release SU10 in conjunction with an NVIDIA driver update that will help one of the first issues our Beta users discovered (graphical glitches and artifacts). It’s been incredibly helpful to have so many community members test Beta builds with us, so thank you for everything. We are excited for this release and looking forward to what’s next World Update 11: Canada, and the 40th Anniversary Edition (Sim Update 11)! You will find an updated Development Roadmap below. MSFS Team DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP Web-friendly version: https://www.flightsimulator.com/development-roadmap/ FEEDBACK SNAPSHOT Web-friendly version: https://www.flightsimulator.com/feedback-snapshot/ SDK UPDATE Roadmap: Sim Update 11 We are focusing our efforts on the Project Editor, improving its stability & ergonomics. General: We added a link to DevSupport in the Devmode toolbar (which was about time!). WASM We updated inNative (a define was missing, which made the optimization part a bit slower). We fixed a crash upon loading a font file with a long version string. Project Editor We fixed the export that was duplicating or adding files from packages that were not selected to the .zip archive. We fixed some metadata and release notes that were not correctly copied when doing "Save As" on a project. We fixed the thumbnail that wasn’t loaded in the project until drawing it in the inspector. We fixed the error message "called TableSetupColumn too many times" on Marketplace Data. We no longer resize the Export & Build window each time we change the export mode. Adding a new release note version now selects it. We now resize the "Remove Filter" window to the appropriate size upon first opening Input hints in the release notes tab now prevents users from entering irrelevant values. The input hints to change release note versions no longer lose focus each time a character change. TWITCH UPDATE We stream weekly on twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial. You’re invited to join us this Friday at 1900Z for a beautiful flight over Germany and The Netherlands! This week we will fly over some of the places our Senior Community Manager visited as she was over in Europe for Gamescom. Meeting up with our lovely Discord admins, she went on a little tour of Germany and the Netherlands. We will visit some of the places she was at, some which coincidentally got a refresher with the latest City Update 1! Be sure to download CU1 from the marketplace, and meet us at EDDV for departure. All the details for this flight can be found on our forums at https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/official-community-fly-in-friday-german-cities-and-rotterdam/541360 COMMUNITY VIDEO Among the new items in the Marketplace this week is the Flysimware Cessna 414AW Chancellor. One of Flysimware’s developers owns this very aircraft, and over a two-year period they took hundreds of measurements, photos, and sound recordings of the real thing to give sim pilots the most accurate representation of the plane’s flight dynamics, appearance, and sounds. Recently, YouTuber AvAngel put the 414AW through a test flight in the mountains of beautiful British Columbia. Does it live up to the hype? Watch the video below and find out! SCREENSHOT CHALLENGE You can submit your screenshot via Twitter with #MSFSchallenge or the Weekly Forum Post ! Thank you for reporting and providing details on specific issues in the forums. Black Screen/Avionics: Multiple root causes are being investigated. One issue being investigated for Xbox potentially links to a memory leak. Xbox users with this problem usually report the avionics go black and then a few moments later have a CTD. Disabling avionics (screens going black) allows the console to have enough memory if it’s low. This also applies to scenery (some won’t display if there isn’t enough memory on the console). This is being investigated for validation. For PC, if you are experiencing this issue, try the following workaround: Flip the ENG switches off prior to starting a flight. This only applies to the piston aircraft (e.g. C172, DA40). Unbind the “Set Starter” from the ENG 1 switch Unplug the TCA Airbus Quadrant The following bugs will be fixed in Sim Update 6 (Oct. 19th) based on direct Community Feedback from the forums: Wrong IAS calculation Altitude not affected by OAT Thrust reverser animation wrong on all aicraft Turboprop ITT simulation still way off Longitude thrust reverser messages missing 930 barber pole still incorrectly shows on standby instrument warning Decreased aircraft airspeed in cloud VR graphics settings are listed twice Menus in VR have excessive Aliasing when compared to previous version TCA Quadrant & AddOn problem with SU5 Airport History not updating on world map Duplicate Airports and Waypoints in the Longitude Xcub floats unable to steer on the ground MSFS START CTD…today Cirrus SR22 – Nose-wheel doesn’t move when turning on the ground Citation Longitude oscillating after 1.12.13.0 Update Toolbar – Handle Bar – Flight Menu (triangle) will not disappear Tail number and call sign not registering Live/AI Traffic Missing Lights Please fix the lights on AI Aircraft SDK UPDATE Audiokintec Wwise If you use Audiokinetic’s Wwise middleware to build sound banks for MSFS then you’re most likely aware that your key has recently expired. In order to use Audiokinetic’s Wwise audio middleware to build sound banks for FS, you will need a license. A license provides you with a key that is periodically updated and allows you to create content using their tools. Microsoft provides this Wwise license to our 3rd party content creators free of charge and all you need to do is register on the Audiokinetic website to receive yours. There are several methods of doing this based on the scope of your need. Please choose the method that best suits your development needs: If you’re making a single non-commercial mod, visit the website, and under the Get Wwise menu, click ‘Register my Project’. Then, choose ‘Non-Commercial’ and ‘More than 200 sounds’, then fill out the form. Once approved, you’ll have a non-commercial key to cover your development time. If you’re making a single commercial mod, visit the website, and under the Get Wwise menu, click ‘Register my Project’. Then, choose ‘Commercial’ and ‘More than 500 sounds’, then fill out the form. Once approved, you’ll receive a free Commercial license, covering your development time. However, if you’re a company making multiple commercial mods, then register a single commercial project for your company. This just makes things easier, as you can use the same license key for each of your mods. visit the website, and under the Get Wwise menu, click ‘Register my Project’. Then, choose ‘Commercial’ and ‘More than 500 sounds’, then fill out the form. Name the project ‘MSFS Mods for <Company Name>’, to make it clear that it is for multiple mods. Once approved, you’ll receive a commercial license for a 6 month term, which will be renewed if needed later on. Just contact Audiokinetic to let them know you still need an active key, and they’ll take care of it. If you’re within 30 days of your expiration date, every time you build soundbanks you will receive a warning about the impending expiration. To contact Audiokinetic, you can use the ‘Contact your AK representative’ button that is in each project. Please note: If you are currently using the Wwise license key that was provided in the SDK demo project you will need to follow one of the above paths to receive a new key as this one has expired. Dev Mode We fixed a gamma correction issue on the gauges rendered with NanoVG. Action waypoints are now prefixed with the action name when drawn on the screen. We fixed the action waypoint links rendering. We fixed the conflict between drone camera and developer camera. Project Editor We removed the ArtProj type from the list of asset group types. Scenery Editor We made the “Hide and lock by type” window a sub window instead of a popup to be able to dock it. We fixed the switch to developer cam when launching the Scenery Editor. We fixed the light update when moving taxipoints. We added more color for taxiparkings and taxipaths. We are developing a Validation process which will perform several checks on your airport: Taxiways connectivity check Duplicated runway check More to come! We optimized the Scenery Editor CPU usage. We are creating a top down camera to ease the airport creation process. Visual Effects Editor We fixed a gap at particle emission with high velocities. We fixed crashes that could happen when editing BezierCurve with no points (node creation and adding first point) We refactored the particle emission and update. SDK UPDATE General You may recall it from our last SDK live Q&A, we promised a new feature to exclude more items with the Exclusion Polygons. It’s ready now! You will soon be able to exclude roads, power poles, and street lights using polygons. Dev Mode We added a new set of options to display the DevMode windows. You can now select “Default” (all windows are opaque when docked and transparent when floating), “Always opaque” or “Always transparent”. We added a new DevMode option to switch the XML gauge rendering mode between GDI and NanoVG at runtime. As a reminder, right now the PC version of MSFS uses GDI but the Xbox version uses NanoVG – both will use the latter in the future. We created a new SoundAircraft sample to demonstrate how sounds can be triggered in WASM through the Panels API using L-Vars. Package Editor We fixed the dev mode icons usage in Package Editor. Project Editor We improved the export window interface. We improved the package validation results window’s sizing. We added a constraint on name when creating or renaming a visual effect. Scenery Editor We added road, street light and power lines exclusions to polygons. We improved the interface of the Objects list windows. It now has two columns: one for package and one for objects, with separate filters. We fixed the gltf reloading with multiple LODs. We fixed an issue on polygons with material loading. We fixed the copy/paste apron UV offset. Gizmo window can’t be edited anymore if no object is selected OR all selected objects are locked. We added a New “has 3D object” checkbox in FUEL TaxiwayParking properties to allow the removal of any 3D object attached to it. Generate Taxiway Signs no longer crashes when the package is not built. Script Editor We fixed the SimObject window. We fixed the fact that the editor wouldn’t close when modifications hadn’t been saved Visual Effects Editor We added a “GroundDirection” node. We fixed the bounding volume calculation. We fixed a crash when connecting a GraphParameter node to an empty parameter name. We fixed the links creation from input to output. COMMUNITY VIDEO Long before the days of satellite navigation using GPS and magenta lines, and even before VORs, DMEs, NDBs, and other radio navigation aids, it was common for pilots to chart their course using a centuries-old technique borrowed from the age of sail: celestial navigation. By taking a fix of objects in the sky such as the sun, moon, stars, and planets, navigators could plot their location with a high degree of accuracy. Did you know you can use this navigation method in Microsoft Flight Simulator? It’s true! YouTuber Top of Descent shows you how to do it in this short tutorial video. Also enhanced the way file I/O requests from WASM modules work, improved WASM modules caching and fixed issues upon WASM module shutdown. Third Party Developers It’s only been one short month since we launched the new Microsoft Flight Simulator and we have already received over 900 applications to our Marketplace Partner Program. That’s amazing and we are so excited to see the third party creator community embracing the new platform with such enthusiasm. Last week alone, we launched 10 all-new products and updates to 8 existing ones. Our team has been quite impressed by the quality of the work from the airport teams at Aerosoft, Big Tire, Carenado, FLYT, Fly Tampa, FS Dream Team, Gaya, Latin VR and ORBX and it’s awesome to see new aircraft, airports and other add-ons being announced almost daily. We always knew that the energy and creativity from third parties is critical for a vibrant ecosystem, but the degree of adoption and sheer speed and volume of releases has far exceeded our expectations. 17. OCTOBER 22ND, 2020 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE POSTED BY: MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR TEAM Screenshot by c0mmanderkiller “I’m more than happy they’re making an effort to keep the development process open, and to give us updates about the progress. I’d say keep publishing updates on a weekly basis.” – Avsim user You got it! You’ve heard us say it a thousand times, “This is just the beginning,” and we mean it. Weekly Development posts will continue as we focus on providing updates to the sim on a regular basis and ingest your feedback daily. We are prepped to release Update #5 next week and will provide more details then. We aren’t going anywhere! Speaking of, our next live Developer Q&A is scheduled for next Wednesday, October 28th at 10:30am PDT. Scroll down to the Twitch section of this update for more information. – MSFS TEAM PARTNERSHIP SERIES UPDATE The first seven episodes of our Partnership Series introduced key partners that helped us in the creation of Microsoft Flight Simulator like meteoblue (real-time weather system), Blackshark.ai (procedural building generation, etc.), VATSIM (online air traffic control and flying community), Bing Maps (satellite and aerial imagery as well as DEM), Textron (close partnership in the development of 10 of our 30 launch planes), Gaya Simulations (development of airports and POIs for World Updates), and Aerosoft (retail edition and feedback on our SDK). We could not have created the simulator without these teams and are very grateful for the fruitful partnerships we have formed with these experts during the past years of development. In the coming weeks and months, we will continue this series and will present our collaborations with Azure Cognitive Services, NAVBLUE, key third party partners, several plane manufacturers, peripheral makers, and a few surprises. AROUND THE WORLD SERIES EPISODE 5 – NORTH AMERICA VR CLOSED BETA Good news! We are on track with our upcoming VR build and will be sending out emails next week to our first wave of VR testers. As a reminder, Wave 1 is for WMR (Windows Mixed Reality) VR users only and Wave 2 will be for non-WMR users. Stay tuned and we look forward to working with you. Recent work focused on: DevMode: The new Export Window is ready and will be made available in a future update. The node-based Visual Effects System is about ready to be used in production by the internal team. We will make it available broadly after the internal tests are complete. Improvements, new options, and small features continue to be added here and there in tools. To list just one of them: an optional auto-hide behavior is currently being implemented for the DevMode bar. As a background task the DevMode team is always working on improving the overall stability of the DevMode, giving a special focus to the Project Editor, the Scenery Editor, and the Aircraft Editor. The community’s feedback continues to be helpful to identify & fix bugs and thus make the tools better. WebAssembly: The WASI layer filesystem functions have now all been implemented. Mouse events are now forwarded to gauges through a new callback. Preparing the new GDI+ implementation for release. Based on the results of our last flight, we would like to introduce a new flighting opportunity available for select individuals to help us test Sim Update 4 starting on May 12, 2021. Our goals: We would like simmers who are very experienced with our sim to help us identify regressions from our work on the update We would also like knowledgeable simmers to help us test the specific feature work we have done for this update. These are distinguished from general feature requests that are not targeted for this release. This testing opportunity will target areas of the sim in performance, stability, ATC syntax accuracy, Aircraft (Engine Performance, Roll Stability, Average Yaw Control, and Aerodynamics). In order to achieve these goals, we are growing a list of select users from diverse backgrounds and setups to help in this process. These individuals include active forum users, 3rd party developers, subject matter experts, and more. If you are on this evolving list we will be reaching out to you today to invite you to this opportunity. In addition, 300 spots will also be open on a first-come, first-serve basis for those self-proclaimed experts in GA who would like to help provide feedback. 21. June 11th, 2020 Development Update POSTED BY: MICROSOFT FLIGHT SIMULATOR TEAM Screenshot by casebug92496684 “What happens when someone is playing the sim on a laptop aboard a plane flying in the same spot in the sim as in real life? Pretty sure it will tear a hole in the space time continuum.” Reddit user r/microsoftflightsim “Make him stay, Murph! Don’t let me leave, Murph! Don’t, don’t let me leave Murph!” – MSFS TEAM ALPHA 4 IS HERE! We are excited to announce the release of Alpha 4 (build #1.4.2.0)! Alpha 4 Patch Notes Welcome the Microsoft Flight Simulator Alpha 4 (build 1.4.2.0)! In this update you’ll find new content, bug fixes, and an updated list of known issues. A note from the development team: There are several fixes to our simulation of the B747 in this update. Most notably, the glass cockpit displays should be more accurate now and the overall autopilot functionality has been improved. Further visual improvements were made to the cockpits, airframe exterior, and to the visual effects. The overall experience has also undergone a polish pass. Transversal fixes to improve both commercial planes, B747 and A320, have been implemented. Updates include V-Speed improvements, which should noticeably improve the flight performance, controls, and overall predictability during flight. Improvements were added to better represent your flight plan with more accurate calculations and visual representation in the displays. The TBM 930 received a complete pass based on user feedback and improvements from our backlog. Finally, the team has fixed lots and lots of bugs and added further polish across the entire experience. We still have room to improve, we look forward to your feedback. New Content FLIGHT MODEL – UNIVERSAL IMPROVEMENTS are ready to test! With this update, we are happy to inform you that flight model updates have been applied to all our planes. We have made overall changes to the aerodynamics for the vertical and horizontal tail to make them behave more like wing surfaces and no longer like flat surfaces. This is a big change in that it completely changes the model behavior and required overall readjustment to all our planes. The expected result is that we now get more realistic elevator and rudder authority curves. We also improved the weight and balance settings of all planes using better %MAC (percent mean aerodynamic chord) data. General Summary of improvements: Improved elevator and rudder authority for all planes Improved pitch and yaw stability for all planes Improved weight and balance for all planes Improved stall behavior of all aircraft CAMERA A few improvements have been made to the cameras, let us know what you think: Added inputs to allow you to control the cockpit camera’s backward and forward translations Left/ right arrows: move left/ right Up/ down arrows: move forward/ backward ALT + up/ down arrows: move up/ down Right Click + Drag now allows you to control freelook OTHER All users will have displayed only the build notes that relate to his latest version of the sim – previously all users would only see the build notes for the latest version release, even if that was not the build version installed. Community Feedback and Fixes THANK YOU FOR YOUR FEEDBACK! Controls and Inputs: Some users were reporting issues with losing their control assignments, which would revert to default settings. TBM 930: The speed and altitude trend line have been corrected from white from magenta TBM 930: Yoke vibration issues reported when using the copilot Peripherals: Corrected issues reported when using the Honeycomb yoke Airport Issues Reported and Fixed: AGY – planes started off center on runway 33 – now fixed YALF – testers were not able to find YALF in the sim – YALF no longer exists and has been replaced by YMUN YALM – was listed incorrectly and is now attributed to Allambie YALM – planes started off to the side of the runway – now fixed YALP – was listed incorrectly and is not attributed to Alpurrurlam YALR – coordinates now correctly correspond to Pine Hill Airport YALT – buildings were reported in the runway – now fixed YALZ – was listed incorrectly and is now attributes to Balma Airport Plane Specific Changes/Improvements ALL Overall focus in all areas to improve autopilot user experience and its effect on all the planes All airliners had transitions that were not loading in the MCDU when creating a flight plan from world map A320neo Tuning of the trim – should be more realistic to the real-world experience and more balanced Auto Thrust/Auto Pitch issue fixed that was affecting the user’s ability to maintain speed in strong head winds – this usually resulted in a stall A320 engines will now start when following the checklist “starting engines” procedure B747-8i It was previously possible to have APU GEN and EXT POWER connected. Now they are exclusive. Engine #1 and Engine #2 were reversed – they are now set correctly User was unable to continue beyond page 2 of the route pages on the CDU Changing the selected altitude while in Vertical Speed mode was not updating the target altitude Bonanza G36 Activating the landing gear and/or flaps on approach no longer turns OFF the battery C152 Corrections to the altimeter TBM 930 Aircraft would rock when following a flight plane with the Auto Pilot ON FLC button now activates the FLC mode instead of the ALT mode The flight plan now better matches what the user sets on the world map screen The TBM930 engine no longer shuts down after a teleport Airport Specific Changes AIRPORTS An additional improvement and completion passes have been made on the global airports to include missing content based on Bing Aerial imagery: Taxiway logic and visual markers added Surface types on airport runways, taxiways, and aprons updated Parking areas for aircraft updated Additional and improved ground markings on taxiways and aprons Other general visual improvements We have also run an additional pass on the ground texture colors of more than 12,000 airports to improve the integration with Bing data. Bug Fixes and QoL Improvements Stability Overall stability and framerate improvements Airports Llanbedr EGOD tower size corrected Continue fixing issues with jetway placement – this is ongoing Audio Voices now switch correctly in tutorials when changing in mid-flight Cameras Overall camera improvements to improve FPS when moving around the inside of planes Controls Objective would fail to show inputs when cleared, now fixed Performance FPS improvements when loading sequences complete and during cutscenes UI/UX UI stability improved overall – menu logic corrected, profile losses General attention to accessibility and user information – our ongoing objective here is to better inform your options when navigating the UI so your choices are more intuitive TTS voice mismatch corrected during Take Off Flight Training Autopilot had become inoperable when switching between Vertical Speed and Altitude in All Aircraft – this issue is now fixed Weather The effect that live weather wind would have on the planes was too strong and now better matches real world behavior Unrealistic wind gusts were sometimes created when customizing settings – should be less frequent World World tiles – black stripes on world tile edges fixed Known issues AIRCRAFT Users may experience issues with adjusting flight plans through the use of glass cockpits AIRLINERS The weather radar doesn’t currently draw in the Map Center A320neo Flight Director not working correctly when used without autopilot enabled Airspeed at high altitude changes to KIAS target but should change to Mach target Transitions to Mach speeds are not yet correct B747-8i When taking off from large airports, and using autopilot, may cause the plane to crash DR400 Wheels disappear when on the ground Grand Caravan When completing the checklist, the engine does not start TBM 930 When completing the checklist, the engine does not start Airports AYPY is currently missing building, tower, parking indicators EDDF has jetways disconnect from the terminals BIKF has some building issues reported by the community – we are working to fix these for the next update KPAE has some building issues reported by the community – we are working to fix these for the next update Continue fixing issues with jetway placement – this is ongoing UI Undocked panels not appearing correctly. Lesson 3 Training User is not currently informed that they have control of the plane at the start of the training session You can discuss these release notes in the Forums here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/alpha-4-patch-notes/90510 You can leave feedback on the various topics here: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/alpha-4-1-4-x-0-discussion/94 ALPHA INVITATIONS New invitations are being sent out today! PARTNERSHIP SERIES UPDATE – INTRODUCING METEOBLUE! SDK UPDATE We continue to make good progress and plan to release an update to the SDK next week. We worked on improving the documentation as well. In addition, we are working on video tutorials to help illustrate usage of the SDK. We added several new SDK samples showcasing: Various Flight Simulator-specific glTF extensions/materials Aerial images overriding on the terrain Projected meshes on the ground Vegetation biomes overriding Progress is being made on the WebAssembly front as well. Several WebAssembly extensions are being implemented, which should result in better performance. Static WebAssembly libraries can now be authored, and we are making progress on helper libraries designed to ease the transition of legacy C++ code to the new Flight Simulator architecture. SimConnect is getting more attention and we are fixing some bugs in it and started developing a test coverage framework to help identify regressions and make it more robust. HTML-based UI and aircraft instruments are now authored as separate packages, making it possible for third party developers to author their own HTML-based instruments. As real-world examples of SDK usage, we plan to share the source assets for both an official aircraft and a high quality airport as SDK samples. 24. AUGUST 26TH, 2021 DEVELOPMENT UPDATE Posted by: Microsoft Flight Simulator Team Screenshot by Red4Pushback On Tuesday at gamescom, we announced four major updates coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator later this fall: on September 7th we are releasing World Update VI featuring Austria, Germany & Switzerland and alongside it, we are introducing a new payware series called “Local Legends” that celebrate the region of the current World Update; for World Update VI, we selected the German Junkers JU-52 which will be released September 9th. For later this fall, we announced the first major expansion to the sim, featuring the Reno Air Races, which introduces competitive multiplayer and more. And finally, we have a fascinating new aircraft, (electric vertical take-off and landing) air taxi for urban flights called “VoloCity”, which will also be released soon. If you missed it click here to read more about it or check out the trailers below: – The MSFS team DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP We are currently working on the updated Development Roadmap and will share it in next week’s Dev Update. A few months ago, she posted in the Microsoft Flight Simulator subreddit that her father, a pilot, was terminally ill and was no longer medically cleared to fly. Mookattacks didn’t know much about flight simming, so she asked for help from the community to get her dad set up with everything he needed for virtual flying. Many members of the subreddit provided tech advice, and some even generously offered to donate hardware. Thanks to the support of the community, he was able to enjoy the thrill of flight once again. Last week, Mookattacks posted an update that her father sadly passed on July 14. We offer Mookattacks our most sincere condolences for her loss. From the teams at Asobo and Microsoft, it heartens us to hear that our simulator was able to bring someone peace, comfort, and joy during their final days. Image credit: Mookattacks (https://reddit.com/u/Mookattacks) – “A month ago I asked for your help to get my dad to ‘fly’ again, and you did. I just want to say thank you all. He managed to fly a few more times before he passed on 7/14/21” TWITCH UPDATE We stream weekly on Twitch.tv/MSFSOfficial! Join us for a community fly-in to around the French Riviera! All PC and Xbox players of every skill level is welcome to participate. Click here for more details. COMMUNITY VIDEO For about seven months during 1963, John F. Kennedy and Lester B. Pearson simultaneously held the offices of President of the United States and Prime Minister of Canada, respectively. That’s not all they had in common: both world leaders have an airport serving their country’s largest city named after them. This video from Thyago Ludwig features a timelapse of an Airbus A320 flying between New York Kennedy International (KJFK) and Toronto Pearson International (CYYZ). FEATURED FREEWARE MOD In 1996, legendary aircraft designer Burt Rutan created the Model 202 Boomerang, an asymmetric twin engine plane featuring forward-swept wings. Only one was ever built, but now anyone can fly this unique design in Microsoft Flight Simulator thanks to modder Technotech. You can download the freeware Rutan Boomerang addon here.
