  1. hello everyone, i have been having this problem recently where when every i turn my yoke the left or push the the red button on the bottom left side of the yoke it turns my camera angle to the left and just keeps turning until I stop turning left or stop pushing the bottom button really gets annoying especially final, sometimes it even makes me crash. so i was just wondering if anyone knew a solution to this problem. I have checked my bindings and everything seems fine. so please if you have a solution please help. Evan,
  2. Only because I don't think many will go there directly, if you'd be interested in shared cockpit on the PMDG 737 please part-take in Simbol's poll here: Dear moderators - can this post remain in this forum so as to get as many people voting as possible. I've not even seen the poll until today.
  3. A new version of the AVSIM CTD Guide has been released and can be found at the following link: The link under Hot Spots does not currently work so this is the link until that is fixed. Best regards, Jim
  4. Just to let everyone know, I have removed the listing of followers for the Main Topics, like Hangar Chat, P3D Forum, FSX Forum, etc., and not to specific threads in those forums. It appears our upgrade earlier this year might have somehow corrupted this notification. For instance, in the FSX Forum, I found 189 followers but, when I clicked on the followers, it showed only 30 names and at the bottom, only 16 others (which does not add up to 189). Of course, many of them might have indicated they did not want others to know they were following but many of those following were old registrations and the math did not add up so decided to start fresh. We had a possible glitch with our notification system and want to make sure this was not the issue. It also slows down our system when e-mails are sent to e-mail addresses that no longer exist. This is just in the AVSIM Forums and not in the Commercial Forums (may be visited in the future). So, members might want to go to each main forum and indicate whether you want to follow every topic and thread in that particular forum. I personally would recommend you just follow individual topics inside a Forum. Apologize in advance for any inconvenience.

  7. Suggestion - Instead of tagging a topic as XP11, FSX, etc., it would be better to Prefix the Topic with a Prefix showing FSX, FSX-SE, XP11, P3DV4, P3D, FSW, etc. This way, if someone wanted to see everything XP11, they could click on the Prefix XP11 and all of the topics with XP11 would appear. I have Prefixed some but there are many more. Making a Prefix is like making a Tag. Just click on the Tags and enter your Tag, then CLICK on the BOX to save it and you should see "Item Prefix" is set to None but you click on that at you will see you tag listed. Click on the item and Save and you will have a Prefix for your Title. Enjoy! Best regards, Jim
  8. AVSIM does not currently host image posting via the attachment system so you will have to link your image from a 3rd party hosting provider such as Photobucket, ImageShack, Google, OneDrive, Imgur, or, the one I use FS Files.org - http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/. Most services provide 5GB's or more of free space to upload your images. Once you upload your image to a hosting provider, the image should have a box in one of the corners that you can check. Once checked, you should be given the option to "get an embed code". Click on that and it will offer HTML embed codes or BBCodes embed codes. AVSIM uses the BBCode system so click on the "BBCode embed' and a link should appear (if not, check with your hosting provider on procedures for obtaining an embed code). Copy the link and then go to your post or topic and paste the link into the topic. You can also choose to link to the file on one of the hosting services too. In that case, the image will now show up on AVSIM and members will be sent to the hosting site to view the image. Your image will not appear until you click on reply or submit topic. If you want to edit the post or topic after you have replied or posted a new topic, you can edit it for up to two hours. If, after two hours, you want further edits, you will have to click on the "Report" button and tell our moderators what action you want taken. One of our members has posted a more detailed explanation in the Screenshot Forum here on AVSIM that may help you if you are still having problems posting an image - Make sure images comply with our Screen Shot Rules - https://www.avsim.com/AVSIM Pages/screen_shot_rules.html/ If you continue to have problems posting an image, please use the Contact Form under the 'Contact Us' tab at the top of the AVSIM Forums.

  10. We have a delay (no longer than 24 hours) for new members posting in our forums to help us avoid attacks from the evil spammers from around the world. If you would like to post during this delay, please use the contact form - Report an Issue under the Contact Us tab above. After we determine you are not a spammer (we have tools), we will activate your ability to post immediately. Thank you for your membership and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. 11. Posting Images

When posting images in the forums, please follow the tutorial at the following link - Please continue to follow the image posting rules as follows (rules are also shown under the Rules and Polices Tab above): Images posted to AVSIM must conform to these rules. Images must be posted in the AVSIM Screen Shot Forum or the Real Aviation Photos Forum. Images are not allowed in other AVSIM forums unless the image is required to show a problem you are having or images of configuration settings. Non-flight simulation images can be linked in the Hangar Chat Forum if required to show or emphasize the title of the topic. Anything related to Flight Simulation or Real Aviation will be moved to the appropriate Screen Shot Forum. Images posted in topics that are actually screenshots to show off an aircraft or scenery will be split from the topic and moved to the appropriate Screen Shot Forum. Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting (http://fsfiles.org/flightsimshotsv2/), or a website that you own. Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections. Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program. No more than 20 images per post. Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement. AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM. Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately. See Signature Rules for posting images in your signature. If you have any questions or comments, please PM me or one of the AVSIM Moderators.
  12. In order to keep the tips & tricks section useful, the sub-forum has now been made readonly. Any posts and guides created here which prove useful will be moved to this section and will be set as readonly/locked to keep them on-topic. Hopefully, our X-Plane forum will become more useful by making use of the other areas instead of using the "General Discussions" area as a single forum. If you would like to post or update any topics in the tips & tricks section then please let a moderator know.
  13. Hello @ll, welcome to the new Lorby-SI support forums. In the next couple of days I will be moving content from the previous forums here, so stay tuned Forum rules AVSIM staff does not moderate in the Lorby-SI forums, but the same rules apply for content and conduct of users as they do for all of AVSIM. Posts violating the AVSIM rules will be locked or hidden. Getting support for Lorby-SI products All Lorby products to date have been programmatic solutions for specific simulation requirements. In plain words, they are very complicated internally, some several tens of thousands of lines of code worth. So only the most basic issues regarding handling or usage can be solved in a forum like this. If you run into more complex issues, it will be necessary to contact me directly, using the form on the Lorby-SI website: http://lorby-si.weebly.com/contact-us.html If you need that kind of assistance, it will be required that you provide your full name and your order number from SimMarket. Best regards Oliver Binder Lorby-SI
  14. There is now a new forum for discussing particular X-Plane addons and I've moved over some of the threads there, e.g. (xEnviro, Ortho4XP), In order to keep this area for discussion of the main simulator, please post any topics discussing individual addons into the addons forum http://www.avsim.com/forum/439-x-plane-addons/. Comparisons or advice on which addons to purchase are still fine to post here, however the many posts about specific addons are burying other posts, and having addons discussed in that area should help others who would like to search out and look for information about specific or recommended addons. Thanks for your help keeping the forum tidy.
  15. As a 20 year FSX user, I just switched over to P3D due to a FSX crash. I had the Freedom Tower and the lead in lights for JFK 13L/R added as simple downloads in FSX, but I can't find anything for P3D. I have not added any scenery since I will be getting a new computer next month. Anyone know where to get them (or can I simply use the FSX ones in P3D???) Also I have 4 FlyTampa airports for FSX, would I need to re-buy for P3D? or just re-install (since they are already in the old FSX folder)
  16. Please look at the screen, a link for which is shown below. I have UTX Canada, GE3PD, PTA2.1 installed. Shaders were cleaned and restored a couple of times. Nothing helps https://www.dropbox.com/s/ct0f2b9pvfeytkk/Screenshot%202017-01-02%2011.04.31.png?dl=0 Would appreciate your assistance. Thanks Dmitriy
  17. Night lighting on fire

I'd like your opinions on how to get night lighting corrected on my P3d v3.2 setup. Basically, it looks like any urban / suburban textures are a raging firestorm - way too bright and lit up everywhere. (I don't have a good place to store a photo, or I would have a link here...) My setup: - v3.2 - Orbx Global and LC NA - UTX roads - REX textures for water, sky, clouds - using PTA v2.0 I have tried every combination I can think of - Orbx night lighting on / off, UTX night lighting on / off, reduced the autogen emissive value in PTA. These things make a bit if difference, but overall it looks like a forest fire below me. The rest of my P3d world looks great. Thanks, Ron
  18. p3d v3 sucks

i have decided i have had enough of p3d v3 as the water sucks and the hdr sucks also my woai aircraft don't work properly the lights are all messed up so i am asking is it better to go to fsx with the dx10 fixer or p3d v2.5 thanks.
  19. Bored of waiting for FSLabs A320 and fancying a new challenge. I only enjoy very realistic systems heavy simulations which I can follow real world FCOMs and procedures with. Recently got the A300B4 FCOM so wondered about SimCheck. Does it work in P3D and does anyone have any experience of using it? Cheers Rich
  20. Ai traffic

I have made up my mind and go for P3D. But what else should I update? Let´s start with the ai traffic. I have had all kind of freeware stuff for ai traffic in FSX (WoAI, MAIW etc). What about traffic in P3D? Will tehy work or would this be right time to go to payware? And which one of the payware Ai addons should I pick up? UT? MyT? I fly mainly (95%) of my flight time in Europe, Northern Africa, Caribbean, Mexico, Canada and USA.
  21. Hi all - I've seen plenty of discussion on this topic and doing some testing of my own. Some have said in order to get Rex textures & SC to work with AS16 & ASCA, the way to do it is to disable the 4 content settings in ASCA, install a texture set from Rex and ASCA should control what Rex installed. From what I can tell, this doesn't completely seem accurate. While I am able to get Rex textures into the sim, I don't think ASCA is doing anything. AS16 is obviously running the WX but ASCA won't give the occasional messages at the top of the screen (as i'm running ASCA in full dynamic mode). This is leading me to believe that ASCA is useless in this scenario. Anyone with the same results?
  22. Does anyone have a set of alternative passenger sounds for GSX? I have a good replacement ground crew voice set but looking for better boarding sounds (especially the hellos). I checked the library to no avail. Thanks!
  23. EMT on p3d v3.4

Hi all, Have anyone tried or know if the estonia migration tool (EMT) works o P3D v3.4? I am afraid of breaking anything cause I don't see any updated information on their website (installer last updated in March 2016).
  24. Hi everyone! (Sorry for my bad english) First happy new year to all. I have a problem that started when I installed 2 new SSD's on my computer. One of Kingston Hyper X of 240Gb for Windows and another Kingston Hyper X of 480Gb for P3D. The autogen carries only near the plane, and when I approach the buildings and trees sprout from the ground, and if they look back they disappear. I already tried to format, change Video driver, settings in CFG, delete CFG, different profiles in Nvidia inspector and nothing solved. My PC Specs I7 3770K Ht Enable Gtx 970SC SSD Kingston Hyper Fury X 240GB (Windows) SSD Kingston Hyper Fury X 480GB (P3d) HD 2Tb Seagate (Backup) 16Gb Memory Windows 10 P3D V3.4 I make a video of problem: Thanks to all
  25. ILS needles never move

Maybe someone can shed some light on this... I am using v3.4, and just recently installed hotfix 2. For quite some time now, I have no response from my localizer and GS indicators in any aircraft. I have the freq set right, and receive the proper morse code identifier, but the needles never move and I overfly the approach course. Happens every time. I reinstalled a separate v2.5 just to test, and everything there works properly! Any ideas out there? I have run searches online, but can't find anything relevant. Thanks! Russ
