  1. Hi everyone, Here is my review of Flightbeam Biarritz scenery. I was looking forward to check it out as I have operated from there in real life a few times. One of my channel's goal is giving honest, straight to the point reviews. It will feature more videos very soon. As a Captain on the A320 family with several thousand hours on type, I will also produce several Airbus tutorials and informational videos in the near future. - Pilot2PC

  3. Just showing off the crisp clear aircraft and scenery as I pushback and taxi out for departure at KMSP Ry 12R (Delta was kind enough to let me park my corporate 787 at the gate haha) Addons used: Flightbeam KMSP, Quality Wings 787, Active Sky 4, ASCA, ENVSHADE/TEX Untitled-1 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-2 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-3 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-4 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-5 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-6 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-7 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-8 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-9 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-10 by ryan b, on Flickr Untitled-11 by ryan b, on Flickr Going to an exotic location! 4. Full flight gate to gate CS757 with Flightbeam KPDX (on sale at the moment)
  5. I have to say this was the most visceral experience I've ever had within flight simulation. With the combination of PMDG's 747 v3's "Cockpit Shaking Feature" partnered with the real-time weather generated by ActiveSky, I actually began to sweat during the climb out to cruise. I knew the weather wasn't the best, but the weather I experienced was completely unexpected. Pictures do not convey enough of the situation. I wish I had recorded it. Normal pushback from A-26 at KIAD. Slight indication that the weather would not be the best as I taxi away from the gate area out to the runway. But certainly nothing I could not handle...right. This is where I realized what I got myself into. Confirmation that this was going to be a hell of a ride! Then I further realized my flightplan took me right into the path of the storm. A view from the outside. What you don't see and what these pictures do not convey are the up drafts, down drafts and turbulence passing through the clouds. The "Cockpit shaking feature" that PMDG introduced with the new 747, made the ride terrifyingly real. At this point I realize the worst isn't over and hope the weather tops out below FL350 which is my planned cruise. I ended up amending my cruise to FL370, which did not help. By the way, notice that I have the anti-ice system on. Several ice warnings while going through the clouds. I must of heard the stall warning twice (fleeting, but still heard it) with the shifting winds. We got through it and performed a normal cruise across the pond where we were greeted with this great sunrise. A bit of cloud cover over London, but a heck of a lot better than when we departed Dulles. Not sure who was happier to land, me or the plane. Safely parked at Heathrow.
  6. Here's a pic I took a while ago during the beta of this excellent addon.
  7. Not sure why I've not seen a single simmer post a screen of what is, without a doubt, unequivocally, undeniably the best scenery I've ever purchased. Well...let me clarify....I bought the original HD version a while back for those old 32bit platforms. I got this...the most stunning, picturesque, photogenic scenery as a FREE update from Flightbeam....hands down my pick for the best scenery devs in our hobby. OK...enough with the superlatives, lets see some 4k pics. Most are of the night lighting, as its now fully dynamic. And I have to tell ya...they did something....I mean something to make them smoother than I've seen to date (we're all aware of the performance hit dynamic lighting is causing). I'm not sure if they back coded KMSP...have not been there yet...still stuck in SFO being blown away. I had to compress the heck out of them or they'd be several MBs a piece...so take that into consideration when viewing...I can't adequately describe with words how this looks on my 55 inch 4k TV. First up...a familiar Lufthansa 747 parked next to one of her sister ships (edit: well her sister ship is there...just out of view on the right). I show you this side 1st to see that there is no ramp lighting.... Here is the other side..ramp lighting illuminating the nose and part of the wing....SODE dual jetways connected...(sister ship's wing just viewable) SODE jetways perfectly connected I might add....notice the bolts on the jetway leg....the detail is stunning The detail on the AC unit, over the top. Here is a full night shot.... Look at that detail under the gate! I have a few more pics I'll post later...I sure hope every P3d V4 owner makes this a purchase...I can wholeheartedly recommend it, and current old KSFO owner should be heading to grab this free update now! Check out their facebook page for detailed info...they updated the livin' heck out of this! If you thought the old version was amazing...be prepar3d (pun intended) to scrape your jaw off the floor. OK...after looking at the pics...the compression did them some serious injustice. Here is a humongous, honking 4k version of one of the pics above for comparison (about 1.4mb...it was 9mb uncompressed): OK...I'd be doing this scenery a disservice if I didn't show you a few more 4k uncompressed pics. (mostly...still a little compressed) Another night shot...but looking closer to what I see in flightsim. (If you are viewing it on a small monitor, you can't appreciate the vastness seeing it on a large TV) Here are 2 day shots, showing the incredible detail that abounds everywhere on this airport: Can I actually read that bill of lading in that clear plastic sleeve? LOL The baggage carts are varied...and extremely detailed...but I don't have to tell you that as you shift your gaze downward.... OK...hope these pics help you decide that this is a must have scenery. Oh how I wish they'd do KDFW, KLAX (my favorite city-pair to fly)...instant buys for me.
  8. Does anyone have functional jetways at Flightbeam KSFO for the latest version of P3Dv5? I updated Flightbeam, GSX and SODE to latest. Not sure what else to do. Thanks!
  9. Flightbeam used to be the best in flight-sim scenery and customer service. Unfortunately, there is no customer service there anymore. I'm trying to reestablish my account since I lost my original e-mail account do to a change in internet providers and nobody replies (Sammy/Mir) for the last three to four weeks. The only one who communicates is a individual/developer at Jetstream who saw my problem. Still can't believe this lack of communication since Ricardo (LatinVFR) and Virtuali (FSDreamTeam) reply within a day. Darryl
