Still painting this girl, but thought she needed a flight (ok...I really wanted to fly her, hehe) Climbing out, the Golden Gate peaking through the clouds In the climb....over 10,000 and climbing to cruise Letting down into Anchorage...flaps coming down and nice puffy clouds to ride through.... At the Cargo depot....DHL getting loaded next to me as I crack open the nose door for unloading. Not sure when she'll be done as there is a lot of metal and detail work to do...but she just so looks nice in flight as she is I had to take her on a trip. I know...."Spend more time painting and less time flying Steve"...Hehe....I used to do that, trying to balance my flying/painting time now.

I'm still en-route to Memphis for the hand over and inspection...then I'll take her to my new Boeing scenery (I have to look up which field they paint the 777) to have her painted in FedEx colors. I wanted to post these now while in flight...not sure if I'll have enough juice this evening to post the whole flight. I didn't resize and use a lot of compression on all these shots, I really like showing bare metal aircraft. Starting my walk around...nose looks ok. What a massive engine! Got a tiger by the tail! LoL She's making her 1st run with FedEx cargo even before the paperwork is all done. Almost done loading the big girl Taxiing out in with the morning Tampa sun reflecting off the fuse. Here is a shot a spotter got thru the fence. Liftoff! SWA's terminal at KTPA in the background. Some sort of antenna in the foreground (ILS maybe?). Gear in the bar...huge bay doors closing, Tampa in the rear view mirrors! Climbing to altitude, looks like nice weather (flying with ASN and real weather off). Will post shots of the end of the flight in my next post.
