I noticed in EVGA's Precision X1 that GPU usage (roughly 98%) shows a dip (and microstutter) every 60 seconds exactly. The tracing over time looks like an unhealthy EKG! Any thoughts on cause/remedy?

Hello, I'm an ancient newbie just a little desperate for advice. I have been using FSX with Windows 10, 64 bit for a while a now hope to up grade my 24" monitor to an AOC 32" Q3277 model, but I'm quite unsure about other hardware upgrade requirements which may be essential to a good performance from my pc with the new monitor. I expect to upgrade my current GTX 285 to GTX 1070 but I don't know whether my eight year old CPU i7 920 overclocked to 3.8, will be a suitable combination to this new graphics card. Also, should I upgrade the 6 gb ram currently installed, and will the current motherboard, Gigabyte GA-EX58 still be suitable for any new hardware ? I'm assuming that the current 1TB drive and 128mb SSD will still be ok to use ? I seem to be asking for a lot of help, but I'm anxious not to make an expensive mistake. So, any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks.

Hello, Back in the day I was into FSX. It has been about 10 years and I am getting into it again as my wife demands I get a hobby. I am not a "computer nerd" but know some basics (very basics). I was thinking of building my own (never done that before) but then I found the following on amazon and figure it might be a good deal. I plan on playing fsx and maybe some other games that are graphics card intensive (I know fsx is mostly a procesor reliant game). Other than that I might do some writing on it but not really anything else. 1. Is this a good deal compared to what I could get if I get all the party myself and put it together 2. Will this run FSX very well? I want a rig that is "not average" and that can really do some magic in the fsx world, will this be it? Thanks for the help!
