Good day folks, any idea what's up with the ODG offshore rigs project, I visited their website today and apparently it's down. For 5 years now I've been trying to create an account on their website to download the UK and US offshore rigs but no luck. Just wondering if anybody knows how to get around that... Or has a copy willing to share providing it's not Payware. Default rigs get boring after a while haha!!! Andre

I’m just learning about flying helicopters in mission tutorial #9. I thought when you push the collective forward (using my throttle), the helicopter should go higher. But I find that if I dont pull the cyclic control back a bit, the heli doesn’t rise. Likewise if I don’t push the cyclic forward, it doesn’t descend. Is this correct? I thought pushing forward on the cyclic controls was for accelerating.

Please see on YouTube the video of my latest invention https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XJm8bIU6mWA Thanks JD P.S. Please subscribe to my YouTube channel OOPS Not at Club Jameco, apparently the parent company “Jameco Electronics” has discontinued “Club Jameco” with their hobbyist kits. Sorry to see them go. As previewed some days ago over at AIG, I have been working some new stuff and today I have released the first tech demo of it. Basically it is an AI helicopter landing on an AI ship - nothing spectacular, but as far as I can remeber this is something we have not done yet. The demo can be downloaded over at the AIG Forum and some more images can be found on our homepage.

The real world Cabri G2 helicopter has a cyclic trim switch that sets trim for pitch and bank. My heli model by MP Design Studio works a treat with P3D. P3D has settings for elevator trim up & down and aileron trim left & right: these key assignments work perfectly for fixed wing aircraft. But I can't make them work on my rotary wing Cabri G2. This is also the case with other helix resident in P3D. This is a great nuisance because without the ability to apply trim one has to maintain a constant force on the cyclic during flight. Please can someone suggest a solution?

I took the stunning Nemeth Sikorsky S-76 for a short hop around the beautifully picturesque new Tioman Island scenery by PILOT'S. If you like tropical island scenery and a very challenging approach, this is a must have! The weather was pretty gloomy on the way out to the offshore island heliport, cleared up though for the journey back. There was even a moving lizard on the tarmac when I returned! Tioman is about 100 miles north of Singapore and is known for excellent scuba diving. The airport is considered to have one of the most dangerous approaches in the world, due to often adverse tropical weather conditions and the approach not offering any go-around because of the high terrain surrounding the immediate vicinity of the runway.
