  1. JETWAYS won't move in Flightbeam Studio's very fine KSFO airport - KNOWN ISSUEHi all-I just 'discovered' that the Jetways (FSX) do NOT move (via CTL-J or any other key sequence or FSX command code) at the add-on airport from Flightbeam Studios "KSFO". Since it's by far the 'best looking' airport I own, I fly a lot of practice flights OUT of it, and never thought about the jetways, because I usually don't fly INTO KSFO. Lately I decided to do some VFR touch and gos in my 737NGX, and following a series of those I decided to taxi to a gate and hit the trusty side key on my Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog Throttle (pull towards me, the chime sounds signalling passengers and crew it is ok to stand up and deplane), push it away from me (at all OTHER airports) and the Jetway toggles**. Duh- when I pulled up to the San Francisco gate(s) - NO JOY. Finally after doing some searching on Google, I stumbled across the fact that this is a "KNOWN ISSUE" with this (otherwise) very fine aftermarket scenery airport. So it occurred to me that I should post in on Avsim, if only to spare someone else from the pain of wondering what he or she did to their system to cause the trouble! Since not all pilots fly Warthog hardware, I will try to find an additional spot on Avsim to post this. For those who wish to flame, i wasted enough time chasing my tail I'll take the flames - because I know a LOT of people use Flightbeam KSFO, and like me, they might not 'make the connection' that the jetways work at every OTHER airport except San Francisco (with the aftermarket scenery from Flightbeam Studios). Not a deal-breaker by any stretch, but surprising. I think it's because Flightbeam uses much higher-definition Jetways rather than the FSX 'default'.Best,Robert**The actions described above for the Warthog throttle quadrant buttons were programmed using Linda 1.11 (available free here on Avsim). You may elect to program different actions than the ones I chose. If you haven't looked at LINDA, I highly recommend doing so. Flexibility- and may save you having to buy excess 'real' MCP unit hardware because the common activities e.g. setting CRSE (both sides) HDG, ALT, SPEED, and so on may be accomplished with Linda (if you have a control surface like the warthog with buttons and switches a'plenty). Linda also allows you to select your own "shift" key (local for a specific controller or global for all controllers in use for a given aircraft). This effectively 'doubles' the number of programmable buttons and switches. Assign your AXES with FSUIPC, then use Linda for the buttons and switch assignments. Cake!
  2. Hello All, I'm looking to buy another North America scenery for P3D, and am trying to pick between Flightbeam KSFO and one of the Drzewiecki Design NY packages. I've own KDEN and KIAD as well as DD KORD, but I heard there was a makeover of KSFO in the works from an older FSElite article but I couildn't find anything newer. I saw this would not be free, but should I get KSFO anyway? Would it be a complete re-buy or just an upgrade? Thanks and if you have other solutions they are more than welcome. Stay safe, Canine
  3. Does anyone have functional jetways at Flightbeam KSFO for the latest version of P3Dv5? I updated Flightbeam, GSX and SODE to latest. Not sure what else to do. Thanks!
  4. Good day, I know it is a old airport, but i had the 2 jetways one on the other with AES, i succeded to remouve one by deleting jetway in scenery folder. but i still have floating jetway signs... how do I remove them ? I had the solution in the past but I cannot remember now thanks for your help :)
  5. Not sure why I've not seen a single simmer post a screen of what is, without a doubt, unequivocally, undeniably the best scenery I've ever purchased. Well...let me clarify....I bought the original HD version a while back for those old 32bit platforms. I got this...the most stunning, picturesque, photogenic scenery as a FREE update from Flightbeam....hands down my pick for the best scenery devs in our hobby. OK...enough with the superlatives, lets see some 4k pics. Most are of the night lighting, as its now fully dynamic. And I have to tell ya...they did something....I mean something to make them smoother than I've seen to date (we're all aware of the performance hit dynamic lighting is causing). I'm not sure if they back coded KMSP...have not been there yet...still stuck in SFO being blown away. I had to compress the heck out of them or they'd be several MBs a piece...so take that into consideration when viewing...I can't adequately describe with words how this looks on my 55 inch 4k TV. First up...a familiar Lufthansa 747 parked next to one of her sister ships (edit: well her sister ship is there...just out of view on the right). I show you this side 1st to see that there is no ramp lighting.... Here is the other side..ramp lighting illuminating the nose and part of the wing....SODE dual jetways connected...(sister ship's wing just viewable) SODE jetways perfectly connected I might add....notice the bolts on the jetway leg....the detail is stunning The detail on the AC unit, over the top. Here is a full night shot.... Look at that detail under the gate! I have a few more pics I'll post later...I sure hope every P3d V4 owner makes this a purchase...I can wholeheartedly recommend it, and current old KSFO owner should be heading to grab this free update now! Check out their facebook page for detailed info...they updated the livin' heck out of this! If you thought the old version was amazing...be prepar3d (pun intended) to scrape your jaw off the floor. OK...after looking at the pics...the compression did them some serious injustice. Here is a humongous, honking 4k version of one of the pics above for comparison (about 1.4mb...it was 9mb uncompressed): OK...I'd be doing this scenery a disservice if I didn't show you a few more 4k uncompressed pics. (mostly...still a little compressed) Another night shot...but looking closer to what I see in flightsim. (If you are viewing it on a small monitor, you can't appreciate the vastness seeing it on a large TV) Here are 2 day shots, showing the incredible detail that abounds everywhere on this airport: Can I actually read that bill of lading in that clear plastic sleeve? LOL The baggage carts are varied...and extremely detailed...but I don't have to tell you that as you shift your gaze downward.... OK...hope these pics help you decide that this is a must have scenery. Oh how I wish they'd do KDFW, KLAX (my favorite city-pair to fly)...instant buys for me.
