  1. Hi, I don't know if it is a bug or something I don't understand about the airplane, but I am not able to replicate the intended behavior of the autopilot during take off. SID is setup, I have LNAV selected on the MCP and armed on the FMA, AT is also ARMED on the FMA. So I select 40% N1 with my throttle, then I press the TOGA hotspot below the course select knob. On the FMA I expect to see N1, HDG/SEL and TO/GA but there is only the N1, the roll and pitch mods are empty. See the screen shots below, first one of before I press toga, second one after I press TOGA. N1 on the FMA is now THR HLD as expected but no roll or pitch mode have been activated by the TOGA. What am I missing? Thanks for any help, Ram Homier
  2. HiI try to ask to set by voice, course, altitude and speed but Fo doesn't accept to do any command only after takeoff.I know you follow the sop very carfully but is it possible to add this future?Another wish is it possible to make a mix of Ground power unit and then APU as we do in general.thank you
  3. I'm new to the site and hope that this is the appropriate section of the forum for this question about engaging the FLCH SPD mode via the Boeing 747-400 MCP. I apologise in advance if it isn't. Let's assume the following: 1) I've leveled off at an FMC constraint altitude of 4000 ft with VNAV PTH and SPD pitch and A/T modes. 2) There are two other FMC constraints at 9000 ft and 15000 ft. 3) ATC has cleared me to FL240. If I dial 24000 in the Altitude window and hit the FL CH button, will it override all altitude constraints or do I have to first delete them one by one with Altitude selector knob pushes? if the constraints are not overridden, would the FL CH mode even engage? Maybe my thinking is incorrect here, but if it does engage with the altitude constraint still in place, wouldn't that result in a sort of weird situation with airspeed control shifting from throttles to elevators, and the THR A/T mode attempting to hold current constrained altitude. it seems more logical to me that FL CH would eliminate all altitude constraints between the airplane and the selected MCP altitude, but I'm guessing here. Thanks
  4. Is there ever going to be any more assistance here? I have been unable to get answers to emails or inquiries. My MCP has not worked for months, all rotary dials are not working. Joe
  5. After a rather lengthy telephone call up to Oregon (USA) speaking with GoFlight tech support, I was disappointed to learn that GF does not directly support PMDG aircraft AT ALL. GF was trying to suggest that using the iFly 737NG would be a better 'fix' for using the GoFlight MCP Boeing-type panel - but I am loyal to the NGX by PMDG.That said, I am confronted with now revisiting my initial plans about cockpit hardware and reconsidering VRInsight Combo II MCP. Question #1 is: Does the VRI unit come with all the buttons & button labels "pre-installed" onto the device or does the end-user (ME) have to install buttons and/or glue button decals onto the VRI unit? This will be a major consideration in my final decision. I am not artistically inclined and doing such would be a major PITA for me. Therefore anyone who purchased the VRInsight Combo II new... I would appreciate knowing thanks.Robert McDonald
  6. :( Happy New Year all!Loving my SP1b 737NGX by PMDG! Only small issue, as stated in the title, is the N1 and Speed buttons never seem to light up when I left-click on them? Does anyone know what could be happening there? When should those buttons be able to be clicked on (and light up and remain lit)? Seems I can't do it at ANY time pre-CMD A or afterwards, with both FD's on...Anyone with an idea how I could troubleshoot or resolve, please advise? Thank youins!Robert
  7. Hi Guys, I purchased the NGX pretty much as soon as it came out, have had very little issues with it, probably one of a few products which I've purchased and it "actually" works properly. I've recently installed the hot fix, which was available to all of us a few days ago. Suddenly (last 48 hours) the Collins MCP font has "stuffed" up. I've attached an image below, this may or may not be happening to others, which is why I'm posting here. Has anyone else experienced this issue? note: The course will only select from 0-35 (F/O and Captains side) and the heading bug will only select between 0-35. The numerals also seem to be larger. The heading/course figures seem to only be reaching 35, but on the ND, it's circling...meaning that let's say the HDG bug says 30 degrees, on the ND it'll be pointing 180 degrees, and if I select the HDG bug to let's say 35 degrees, it'll be let's say 250 degrees on the ND. << This is the best I can explain the issue...the fact is the HDG/Course on the MCP are only selecting between 00-035. I've changed between Collins and Honeywell, the honeywell seems not to be effected.
  8. Hello; I presently have MS FSX, PMDG 747-400, Cougar MFD panels (2ea) and Saitek Radio, Multi Panel, Flight Switch panel, throttles, yokes, pedal and more (just trying to provide as much info as I can) I have managed to get one of the MFD panels programmed to open up the GPS in MS FSX and it works great and all I had to do was set the button assignments in FSX to accomplish this. Now I am trying to use the other panel to open up the CDU and USe the buttons on each side as LS1-6L and LS1-6R along with the paging functons I have tried using a registered copy FSUIPC and a variety of other utilities but I cannot get FSX or the PMDG 747 to accet the buttons as input. If I use the keyboard to open the CDU I would press tab,v (Views), I (instuments), and scroll down to the CDU, once I click the CDU it would open and then I would select the specific pages I want to go to (Index) RTE 1, etc, I would also like to emulate the key on the CDU using the remaining buttons the the MFP Purchasing a CDU is not an option right now as I have not really read any good reviews on the CDU or CDU11 and the other option is really out of my small budget price range. I fully realize I am asking a lot from a $59 piece of hardware but that is what I have and until I can move on to better things. So I ask can this be done ??If so what am I missing ?Is this a problem with the PMDG 747 interface is that why I can't capture the keys ?Or AM I just barking up the wrong tree ? Thank for being patient in reading this and Thanks in advance for any help you may provide. Meanwhile I am contuing to search the forums here to see if anyone else has tried anything close to this Ron
  9. Hello Avsim friends, I have the MCP, EFIS from Virtual Avionics all working great in p3dv4! But........I’m new on Xplane 11 and unable to get the hardware modules (MCP and EFIS) working. Do the modules work with the Xplane 11 (with the default planes)? My root cause and actions to try to solve the non functioning hardware: The icon of VA modules is green, the MCP is showing 0 signs in the displays but they do not interact with the simulator at all. What am I missing? Choosing a different profile in the configurator does not help. The status in the VA configurator program is showing xplane11 and showing the actual chosen plane like Cessna 182 or default Boeing 737. I downloaded the free 737 version from EADT installed it. After doing so, the VA configurator is showing the plain type info but again the MCP and EFIS are not working. When selecting the x737 profile in VA configurator it still does not work. The Windows firewall is off. So no problem with incoming or outgoing connections. Installed the 2.6 version (the VA plug-in is installed and active in Xplane). Installing 2.5 version does not help to resolve the problem. What am I missing? I'm lost.... please help. . Thank you. Mike
