  1. Indie developer Ken Hall has recently released his second batch of PNG airstrips. They are available at the ORBX site and are a fantastic way to bring this remote part of the world to life. Susi Air of course does not fly in this part of Papua, but I like the livery, so I was able to convince them to transfer one of their Pilatus planes, which usually operates in the Indonesian part of Papua 🙂 Climb, baby, climb Flying along Papua’s eastern shore. In the distance you can see Umboi Island Over Yalumet. No other plane blocks the runway Thanks for viewing
  2. Here is another video with the latest ASFS build. ASFS is in "Live" Preset Control. This means that ASFS controls everything including weather depiction and air effects. There was a small glitch at takeoff, not sure if it was the scenery (not default KPDX btw), the aircraft, AI traffic, or due to MSFS SU15. In any event, that is the only issue, everything else is buttery smooth. I hope you enjoy the video. Rob
  3. Today I dived again back into the 1930s. The Zeppelin is just great fun and after watching a couple of YT videos at my leisure, I can now handle it to some extent. Of course, the King Air doesn't fit in there at all 🙂 Above the Bieler lake Above the Neuchâtel lake Place of the navigator Liquid sustenance keeps the spirit up on these long journeys We got maps of all parts of the world Lake Constance, we have reached the Mainau island Friedrichshafen gradually comes into sight Getting the other zeppelin out, when I try to land doesn't make my landing any easier Done
  4. I thought it was time to change my mode of transportation again. I hope you’ll forgive me 🙂 Refuge Cove is a year-round community on West Redonda Island in the heart of the Desolation Sound area of the Inside Passage. It serves as a centrally located supply stop for boaters travelling in or near Desolation Sound. Today we take our private yacht and will go from here to Vancouver Let’s go Once we are out of the cove, the sea gets rough Passing by Sechelt. I don’t want to be on that sailboat right now Close to Vancouver Tied down and secured, lets party Thanks for viewing
  5. It’s hot down there, so I fly fast 😄 I take off in Alexandria, Egypt and fly across the Sahara desert to Belkebir in Marocco. In order to cover the distance, I use additional tanks under the wings. Thanks for viewing
  6. This is Tim Conrad’s FS9/FSX T-33 that I ported to MSFS. The panel I got from the P3D Milviz F-86, which is freely available as MSFS conversion on Flightsim.to. The plane is great fun to fly. Thanks for viewing
  7. I fly with the Bücker Jungmann from Freiburg in the southern part of the Black Forest to Baden-Söllingen, the former Canadian AFB, where a good friend of mine was once stationed and flew the F104 Starfighter I pass by the Freiburg Cathedral. My Bücker Jungmann is difficult to spot Above the Titisee lake Shortly thereafter the Schluchsee lake comes into sight Above the Feldberg mountain Another popular spot is the Fremersberg hill The eastern part of the city of Baden-Baden is below my plane By now it’s time to get back to terra firma Bingo Thanks for viewing
  8. Originally I had planned to leave at 8:00 am, but weather didn‘t want to cooperate. Oh well, time for some more tea Two hours later all was fine Finally, I have reached Kathmandu Thanks for viewing
  9. Hi Nico, Regarding pushbacks, I have noticed that some live aircraft do not start the pushback until the real aircraft has started to taxi away, whereas other live aircraft start the pushback soon after the real aircraft starts its pushback. I have been trying to work out why this should be the case and from observations the only consistent thing I have noticed is the live aircraft pushback doesn't start until the real aircraft taxis out when the real aircraft pushback distance is small, whereas if the actual pushback distance is large the live aircraft will start the pushback soon after the real aircraft does. Is there a required distance for the real aircraft to move before a live aircraft starts the pushback? If so, maybe this distance could be reduced a little to ensure more live aircraft pushbacks start soon after the real aircraft does. Peter
  10. This is the new Redwing Zeppelin and part of Redwing’s 1930s scenery, which has to be bought separately The airport is Berlin Tempelhof Boy oh boy, this is sooo different from anything I have flown before The whole city has been changed to the 1930s, so you won’t see any modern buildings and no high rise Slowly approaching the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag, the German Parliament building And the Reichstag looks with its old roof structure exactly as it looked in those days If you look at the shadow cast by the airship, the Brandenburg Gate seems really small And that's it for now. Very interesting, but I certainly won't be crossing the pond with it in real time 😀😀
  11. I just recently came across this post on the Xtreme Prototypes website! I loved this aircraft in P3D! There is nothing like two CJ610's screaming on departure! Can't wait! With the amazing Lear 35 from FSW this will complete my Lear "wish list" "Our classic Gates Learjet Model 25/28 business jet addons for Microsoft® Flight Simulator 2024 are currently in production and will be released later this year. "
  12. Fehmarn is an island in the Baltic Sea, off the eastern coast of Northern Germany The strip is long enough to handle a Junkers It is managed out of a small trailer Thanks for viewing
  13. A Look Around Barcelona Dawn, just a quick tour. Hopefully, you enjoyed these images, your commentary is greatly appreciated...Darryl

  15. Hi, I am hoping someone can help. Some weeks ago I came a cross a small utility that allowed me to practice landings etc in a simple way. The utility which was not part of NSFS itself allowed me to pick a destination airport and various landing scenarios. Unfortunately I have now forgotten it's name and I can see anything that jumps out at me in my downloads. Hope someone can put me out of my misery!!
  16. Today I'm going from the British Virgin Islands, more precisely from Terrance Lettsome Airport on Beef Island (next to Tortola) to St. Kitts. But I'm taking a small detour via Sint Maarten. And here we have our good, old Staggerwing Hmmh... Obviously we are on a secret mission today, because we are flying without any identification To be on the safe side, I ask the pilot: "Are we smuggling rum today?" The answer comes promptly: "We ain't smuggling nothing, Mista. We are trading in West Indies goods". Well… that could be fun We are now over the French part of Sint Maarten, so I should actually be writing Saint Martin We have now arrived over St. Kitts, Basseterre. Let's get back to terra firma fast, our landing lights aren't the best and it gets dark quickly here Done, and I even got a crate of rum for free. They're all really friendly people here Thanks for viewing
  17. I'd like to create a spoken command to turn on the Flashlight in MSFS. I tried Voxkey, but the combination keys <ALT><L> do not appear to work. I cannot get the <ALT> to appear in the command when I press the alt key. So, I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to add this spoken command (if it is possible).
  18. After many months of continued development and refinement of the basic Dash 7 delivered to PILOT'S by SWS, PILOT'S is very pleased to announce that the release of the Dash 7 for MSFS is now imminent. If all goes according to plan and there are no major last minute hiccups, the Dash 7 will be available at the PILOT'S Web Store this coming weekend. The Dash 7 will feature various real world liveries as well as optional equipment, such as the Working Title GNS 530. A specific model with built-in support for the GTNXi will also be available upon release. With valuable input and assistance from Air Tindi, the current largest active operator of real world Dash 7 aircraft, custom sounds and unique elements and features have also been built into the PILOT'S Dash 7. One such unique feature is the nose wheel gear doors slowly opening after the engines are shut down with the subsequent hydraulic pressure drop. I leave you with some screenshots taken with our very latest release candidate.
  19. Hope you good people don't mind my raising this here, as it seems some persons in the MSFS forums just aren't comprehending the issue. I recently got into the Kuro 787. And for the most part, really enjoy it. I believe it has great potential. (I am a seasoned PMDG pilot having flown all their commercial jets competently since FSX/P3D days and enjoy the Fenix A320 also). The issue with the Kuro, Horizon and Working Title/MS/Asobo 787 is this: Currently, on the B787 EFIS several of the dials can be manipulated by your mouse to turn either clockwise or anti-clockwise and provides an animated arrow signifying which direction you are engaging. This is extremely helpful/efficient and speedy, as I can left click and hold my mouse button to "speed up" the rotation of the dial to the desired setting in either direction. PMDG and other 3rd party devs already have this imperative feature incorporated into the MCP/EFIS and other dials on their respective aircraft. However, on the 787 MCP, the only dial that allows this is the Speed Bug dial. The Heading and Altitude bugs are largely incapable, which is extremely inconvenient. So at present, you can only engage either of those dials with the quick arrow in an anti-clockwise direction. Otherwise, it's mouse wheel scroll for clockwise which can be painfully slow and inefficient. To add insult, you "may" be able to locate an infinitesimal clockwise arrow on the heading dial, but you have to change your physical position in the cockpit in an attempt to find it if you ever find it at all?! So good luck finding it, and goodbye to immersion/convenience. Firstly, I did raise this issue with devs at Horizon on Discord (Toby C) who responded - “we can’t edit cockpit click spots, arrows, etc etc". Then I attempted to raise this at MSFS forums to see if they could provide any of the 3rd party devs with the appropriate permissions etc to address this issue.......well, I say no more. (see below link) https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/boeing-787-all-variants-mcp-dials-ie-heading-altitude-require-further-refinement/628073 From a programming perspective, half of the work in the B787 has already been completed/incorporated as some dials have this full functionality whilst the Heading and Altitude dials currently have half the functionality and yet they are critical in their importance and use. It is not difficult or overly time consuming to add this feature to the dials. From an immersion perspective, the leading devs comprehend the importance. Asobo/MS..........well, they're not comprehending it. edit: it would seem now, that the dude giving me attitude in MSFS has removed his posts from mine.......LOL! I may put some screenies up of the conversation here......bet he didn't plan on that?
  20. I’ve done this trip IRL twice with my wife many years ago, four times to be precise, but twice we had to turn back due to bad weather over Gilgit. The first part is easy, you just fly along Faisal Avenue and you’ll find yourself automatically over the Faisal Mosque, one of the largest in the world. In the real world you are of course not allowed to do this. The second part is more difficult, but fascinating. Now comes the tricky part To land in Gilgit, you fly along a ridge, make a sharp left turn at the end and if you have done everything right, you are perfectly aligned for runway 25 Thanks for viewing.
  21. With the Do X we fly from Friedrichshafen at Lake Constance to Geneva By looking at this shot, I remember what someone once said, when he complained about flying cattle class: “when I was young, I used to travel, today I’m being shipped“ 🙂🙂 The Hindenburg airship Passing over Zürich Above Lake Geneva, we have just passed Montreux We slowly fly along the southern portion of Lake Geneva towards Évian-les-Bains. Time for another cup of tea And finally we have reached Geneva
  22. Today I fly in warmer climates, to be more precise from Sint Maarten to Saint Barth
  23. I have to admit that thanks to Jan Kees Bloom the outer appearance of our plane is not the most convincing one. That is why I like it.🙂🙂
