I figured I would see if the "Other Guys" GNS 530/430 units would install *trouble free* into simple Carenado and Alabeo aircraft VC's that *officially* support the old FSX version of the RXP 530/430 units... They will and do to a certain extent, however I had to do some major panel config editing to get the units to pop-up properly. When I did manage to get the "Other Guys" units to work as advertised, the VC displays were completely misaligned and looked terrible. On the Alabeo DA40 for example, it was so far off center that it looked like it was cutting off the display on the top 430 unit. Now, I'm not a guy that's looking for absolute perfection with units that were just released several days ago, and I do know my way around panel and aircraft configs, but will these new RXP 530/430 v2 GNS units look the same way they did in FSX but in P3D version 3.4? I sure as heck don't mind having to replace lines of text like RXP530 with RXP530v2 in panel configs if it's going to actually look right after doing it. The *SOLE* reason I would be purchasing these new version 2 units is so I could have the good old RXP units back in my Carenado, Alabeo and other aircraft that I have purchased over the last several years in P3D; I basically own their entire catalogues of aircraft. To add, I did run the RXP installers found in the aircraft directories of the planes I was trying to "convert" for usage in P3D v3.4 before running the "Other Guys" configuration utility. Each time the outcome was the same, the pop-up panel didn't work without having to manually edit the panels.

I’ve looked through the many options for tweaking external views of the aircraft but I can’t find a way to vary the speed of the external view camera. It switches views at a constant speed which I would like to slow down. I’m using F to cycle through the views. Perhaps that’s the problem. I can usually find solutions but this one has me beat. Odd when the overall program is so intuitive.

I have the VoxAtc trial. I installed all of the VoxPop voices, and enabled all the voices except the Microsoft ones in the VoxATC Voice Configurator. Then when I start a flight and clicked enable, it said "7.4 Initializing", but I don't hear "test, test" like i did with the Microsoft voices before installing the VoxPop voices. So I exited the simulator and went to the settings tab in the voice Configurator, and clicked speak next to the VoxPop Voices. I did not hear anything. I reinstalled the VoxPop voices and had the same problem. The Microsoft voices made a sound when I clicked speak next to them, so I enabled them, and disabled all the VoxPop voices. But when I started a flight, it had the same issue. After clicking enable in the VoxAtc panel, it said "7.4 Initializing", but I did not hear "test, test". Does anyone know how to fix this problem? I am using P3D v3.4. Thanks in advance.

My main flying is with FSL Concorde but that is predominantly 'serious' flying over long distance and generally over open ocean. For 'fun' flying I recently bought the Carenado Pilatus PC-12 and I enjoy that too. I'm now looking at a business jet for semi-serious flying around Europe and the US. I've read the various discussion about which jets are best but can't make up my mind which way to go. I don't fly on-line. For good looks the Carenado Phenom 300 with a G100 glass cockpit looks really nice. I know their reputation is for looks rather than flying accuracy but it does appeal. My main concern is about fps with that G1000 unit. I'm unsure if my GTX 1080 / i4770K 4.4GHz system would be enough. I imagine it takes quite a hit compared to conventional gauges. Do I also need the SVS system? Can it utilise a weather radar with AS16? The other aircraft I'm thinking about is the Xtreme Prototypes Learjet GLJ25. This has great reviews but if I'm honest the VC looks a little dull with all those analogue gauges. But fps would be great I'm sure. Again, not sure if I can have a weather radar using AS16. For convenience I'd prefer for a flight plan to be loaded into P3D and for the a/p to read this directly. Having to input a plan via the aircraft's systems would be something I'd prefer not to have to do. Those are the two I've short-listed with their pros and cons. Which would you recommend or have I missed any alternatives worthy of consideration? Thanks for your opinions.
