Hello fellow simmers I just made the switch from P3D v4 to v5. So far everything went great and i am amazed by the improvements. I had a lot of Addons installed on v4, especially some Texture, shader and atmospheric enhancements. With PBR on all the planes i use, tomatoshade is no longer needed (so i don't need a replacement). Reshade ist already installed and looking great. I also was a user of REX Sky- and Environment Force. As these products are no longer compatible, this leaves me with two questions that i hope to find some answers or opinions for: - I saw that Envtex ist compatible for v5. Is Envtex a compareable application to the REX products? (If not, what's the difference?). What's your opinion and what are your experiences ? Is Envtex for P3Dv5 worth it ? - in a lot of great looking P3Dv5 setups on youtube, i saw that Envtex is not used ("only" Active Sky and Reshade). That raises the question: is Envtex even needed to make P3Dv5 look better ? Thank's in advance for your answers. I wish you all a great week. Felix

After perusing PMDG's website, I considered buying subject product. But does everything that works in v5.0 still work the same in v5.1? Is this product good to go for v5.1 with the hotfix? Is it asking too much for devs to specify what versions it will work with, like maybe say... "v5.0 inc. 5.1, also 5.1 with hotfix." Does no one remember 5.0 products that had to have a patch for 5.1? I am assuming that PMDG is promising that it will work with all versions of 5.0, and I don't have to be concerned about the no refund policy. Right? But what about the "v4.4+" language? So, this works in everything from v3.4 on up to 5.1?

Hi there, I rarely post pictures, but I still like P3dv5.1 so much for its smoothness and environment. It’s not perfect, but my PC has never run a sim so smoothly. Just some random pics from yesterday’s flight in some scary looking UK skies.... The PMDG is so incredibly optimized, it should receive an Oscar for superb coding 👏👏👏 Cheers, Pete

Have updated ChasePlane to work on 5.1. However it hasn't created and xml file in the addons folder. Can someone let me know how to create one that will start the software as soon as the sim starts. Also forgot how to assign a key on joystick to bring up ChasePlane interface while flying. Grateful for any help. Regards
