Hey! I'm currently running a 6600k at 4.4ghz 16GB ddr4 2300 kit of ram with a 1060 6GB. I have p3d v4 running quite well. I do have a few issues with DL and shimmering however I've managed to live with it. I have a few pennies saved up and Im now in a position to get a 1070. My question is if it's worth the upgrade from the 1060? Should I save up more and get the 1070ti? Should I change the cpu, would that make a noticeable difference? Or should I just skip the upgrade and wait for the next generation of hardware? Thank you!

Here's a list of all of the oddball sceneries that I've been able to get to work in P3D v4 with their default installers or the migration tool. I didn't do anything with folders or changing files. These are all "out of the box" installs: Latinvfr: MIA, SAN, RDU, TJSJ, SNA- Everything works but the autogen buildings surrounding the airports have black walls and normal roofs. RDU looks great, all buildings seem fine, but there is an option to turn off surrounding autogen in the installer, and I used it. I can deal with the funny buildings until they come out with their v4 versions. Tropicalsim: MCI, DCA- Loads and seems to work fine. SXAD: BNA, no problem if using the LP folder instead of the HP one- I could never figure out the difference, but the HP in v4 gave me a CTD. LP fine. Taxi2gate: VHHH, KMCO, KSEA work fine. SEA is by far my favorite addon scenery- maybe because I can see a coffee shop inside the terminal from the ramp. VHHH is just fine, but I really wish they would update the scenery as the construction of the terminal is finished and the airport is undergoing another expansion. But, it's still much better than the default. WCI: Narita- Fine, no problems. Performance: All of the airports seem to do better in v4 than v3 performance-wise. I have my sliders mostly to the far-right, except autogen stuff which is at high, and most of the water reflections are off. I did not do a lot of day/night testing, so there may be issues with lighting that I don't know about yet. I'm just happy that it looks like I won't need to sacrifice my route network as I ease into the new platform. Please don't ask me for tips, tricks, technical information, how-to's or anything else. You can learn through trial and error or scour these forums for all that kind of info. But, if anyone has been hesitant or curious about these sceneries, they all seem to be just fine so far. Hi everyone, I just upgraded from a GTX 1060 to 1080 and I'm surprised that performance is just slightly better in v4. I was wondering if anyone else in here made a similar switch with similar results. I DON'T WANT THIS TO BE ABOUT TWEAKING or turning off settings. Rather, I just am curious to know if making the upgrade was worth it, by people who have made a similar move. I'm using the 382.33 drivers (.53 didn't seem to agree with my system so much), and you can see my specs in the signature. I have sliders almost to the right, which I had with the 1060 as well, and performance wasn't that bad except at KATL and DFW. I thought for sure I could eek out a few more FPS by upgrading. Am I missing something here? Thanks, John

Unfortunately, Flightbeam's Denver was not included since the new versions dynamic lighting does not work for me and no solution was offered by Mir. Hey , Last night I bought the Carenado Embraer Phenom 100 for P3D v4. After i bought it i installed it in the normal way. Than i wanted to create a flightplan from KSFO to KLAX. So i went to the FPL page and type in my departure Airport. But now when i´ve clicked on enter my Flight Simulator is broken down i tried i many times but everytime when i clicked on enter P3D doesn´t work anymore. I hope you can help me. Regards Sven

Hey guys. I own Thai creations VABB and I understand that it's not fully compatible with p3d v4. I've read a few posts on the forums and personally have had issues with elevation, missing runway and taxi lighting, holes in the runways etc. Do we have a fix for this? Has anyone been able to convert the files to work with p3dv4? I know the developer is silent on all the current issues and in fact I think they've abandoned the company. Are there any other VABB sceneries that I could look at? Payware or freeware? Any suggestions? Thank you.
