  1. Still trying to create a full overhead view. When i start zooming, or scrolling with the mouse to get the lower and EFIS view the screen rolls over and I can never lock in on the view I want. Trying to set a view number that will show the lower panel all the way up to the EFIS knobs. Anyone have luck with that yet? And if you did, How? Thanks Walt
  2. OK, so now I've got this thing working I took it for a trip from KCVG to KBKL. Nothing fancy, start on runway all powered up, hand flown (flight plan - wassat?) but with a bit of basic AP and kept down just below 5000 feet so I could look at the scenery. No particular reason for these locations, very much a stick a pin the map job. Boring flight, but I'll go back through the replay a couple more times and experiment with weather etc, and it was a part of the world I didn't particularly know so it's always nice to see what it looks like. Went perfect fine until the end. I'll explain later. But here we go, out of KCVG Turned round and heading NE roughly mid-way. Nowhere specific Love the modelling and the detail on this aircraft. Only reason I bought it. coming in towards Cleveland at this point Cleveland airport below, but I fancied going on to the lakeside airport at KBKL, just the other side of the city And there it is ahead Lots of birds down there, might be awkward As you can see, lots of birds all around the aircraft. Bird strike not modelled though, had a couple of them just fly right through the aircraft! Bird strike wasn't my problem. Speed was. Most of the time when I bring something that I'm not overly familiar with in to land my problem is that I tend to bleed off speed too early and come in too low, and have to hit the gas and get back up in the air a bit so that I avoid whatever is a few hundred feet before the end of the runway. But this thing is the opposite. Throttle way back, flaps way down, air brakes on and still the thing is thrashing in to land. The really annoying thing is that I actually managed quite a smooth touchdown, no bouncing or anything, but it was just too far down the runway and too fast I had to apply the emergency brakes, or airport buildings as others might call them. Still, I enjoyed the flight and who knows, I may even get around to such esoterics as flight plans and the like at some point.
  3. This module has been developed for use with the PMDG 737 running on MSFS 2022. The module requires use with LINDA 4.1.4 and FSUIPC7 7.3.3 or later. Due to delays with MSFS exposing Lvars to FSUIPC7 on start-up, it is strongly recommended that you start MSFS2020, load the PMDG 737 ready to fly and wait a minute before starting FSUIPC7 and LINDA. It is also recommended to click Restart LUA Engine as the last thing. Default configuration setup files are provided for all VRi MCP panels and CDU2/3. It has not been tested with the Original VRI MCP and no guarantees can be offered. Version 0.6 Beta provides significant functionality based on previous PMDG 737 modules for P3D. The main changes in this version are: Added Landing Lights Both On and Off functions Added Landing Lights Fixed and Retractable functions Added HGS/HUD functionality Renamed Pedestal Engine Start Lever functions Fixed CRS L inc and dec functions Fixed AP Info display error (CMDA/CMDB) Updated VRI MCP2 Default configuration Added Restart WASM and Lvar checks Added additional Internal Lighting functions Added VRI MCP2a Default configuration Updated VRI MCP1 Default configuration Fixed Transponder / TCAS functionality Added extra EFIS FO Knob functionality Fixed Standby Compass Light Fixed Transponder Fixed Aileron Trim Fixed Rudder Trim Fixed Autobrake Fixed Landing Gear *** NOTE *** If the landing gear fails to operate in the external view check on the MCDU System menu that you have no HYD failures. The module makes use of a number of extra features provided by FSUIPC7 including WAPI/WASM. These features allow LINDA to access the Lvars and offsets as well Hvar and .EVT events. Users will need to make several changes to their set up to fully exploit these features. Edit FSUIPC-WASM.INI to add the entry LvarScanDelay=x where x is 45 or 60. See FSUIPC7 Advanced User document pg 45. Edit FSUIPC7.INI to add the entry UseAirLocForProfiles=Yes under the [General] block. Ensure block [WAPI] / EnableWAPI=Yes is present in FSUIPC7.INI. The PMDG 737 should display around 1820 to 1880 Lvars and no Hvars. A problem with Lvars will display a Check Lvars message. Any value different from these or the warning will require that MSFS and FSUIPC7/LINDA be restarted. Report any problems and issues on the LINDA Support sub-forum. 4. Hello, I made an airport by the AirportDesignEditor. I tried to implement the runway data into the database of the PMDG737. When I start at this airport and try to make a flightplan I get an error message when I put in the ICAO Airport code in the FMC. The message is: ''ERR: 18L RWY N/A''. And when I put it in I just see a white circle which symbolizes my airport on the navigation display and nothing when I didn't put it in. I just see then the blue circles of the other airports. How can I fix the problem??
  5. Hi Captains, this post is for Opencockpits hardware owners and PMDGs or Level-D airplane users. I made a new free application who allow simple communication between Level-D 767, PMDG 7s (737, 777, 747) and Opencockpits/SIOC modules. It's quite simple to use and there is a little quick reference guide in the download. Feel free to post your feedbacks or questions. This a free application with no pro support but i'll try to answer. It works on my FSX-SE version. I have no other FSX version for testing it, but feedbacks are welcome. 9. PMDG 737 Developer Update: Kicking things off on youtube, and lifting the embargo on beta testers and streamers Today, 08:40 Captains, During the evening last night, we finally kicked off the PMDG 737 for MSFS video series on our official youtube channel. The first three videos of the series are all now visible and lay the foundation for beginning the process of getting deeper into the hows-and-whats of the PMDG 737. We anticipate releasing new content every couple of days, focusing with increasing levels of specificity on the airplane, it's features, functions and options, as well as the actual systems of the airplane and their various quirks and behaviors. If you are a long-time PMDG product user, you may find the first few videos to be only mildly informative, but we think that beginning with the next couple videos in the series you will likely learn some things about the PMDG 737 that you didn't know, even with all of your years of experience. The video series is being developed to serve multiple purposes, including some preview work, general familiarization with a PMDG product as a whole, and of course detail instructions and information so that you can use the video series as a handy reference for tasks that you might have forgotten or need a refresher on later in the summer. I anticipate we will be releasing one new video approximately every other day for the next couple of weeks as we work through the entire content plan. We hope you enjoy them! Tonight I wanted to share with you two detail interior shots that came from Jason's photoshoot on Saturday. They show you opposite ends of the main panel, at different times of day, with plenty of detail in close to the panel in both day and night lighting. In this first image, you can see the ever-pervasive dust that is attracted to the screen surfaces in every modern cockpit. While flying in the real world, many of us carry micro-fiber and other devices to rid the airplane of this type of stuff, but it seems no matter how hard you try, there is always more by the time you land. An area where MSFS really shines (pun intended!) is the night lighting. We have been able to really accurately replicate the various types and styles of lighting in the 737 cockpit, giving the flight deck a really nice ambiance glow that is very convincing to the eye. One of my favorite things about the lighting engine in MSFS is the ability to set the panel flood lighting to very very dim levels, which is what I do when flying at night for real. I find that having only the panel backlighting active makes it a bit hard to see some switches and knobs, but having just a slight level of light washing over the panels makes the details stand out far more clearly- and this effect is well modeled in MSFS. In this image, Jason has the lights turned up quite a bit, but you can see how the lighting model allows us to create an environment in which the lighting plays off of surfaces and mixes with the lighting created by other sources, giving an overall incredibly realistic feel to the cockpit. If you like these images, you are about to begin seeing quite a bit more, I suspect, as we are releasing our beta team from their embargo effective at 1500Z today. We have put a few limitations on them when presenting video as we know of certain areas in our sound implementation that aren't finished yet so we don't want them showing you those sections until they "sound right." That may just be a matter of a few more days. We are in the process of looping in a few content creators that we think are positive role models in the community so you will soon begin to see content created by those folks in the coming days as well. As of this moment, we are still quite happy with the pace of progress as we move the PMDG 737 for MSFS closer to release. We have an exceptionally busy agenda this week, but I remain convinced that we are close to setting a date-certain for release. Once we have that date set, we will communicate that information to you here. On the topic of releases: There has been some drama from some corners regarding our release timeline. It is safe to ignore said drama, as most of it is purely synthetic. The product continues to move forward toward release and we continue to evaluate all aspects of the product to determine it's suitability for your use. Our over-arching goal is to ensure that you have a smooth entry into 737 flying within MSFS and nothing else except this goal figures into the evaluation and determination of release readiness for the product. We wish you all a smooth start to the new week! https://forum.pmdg.com/forum/main-forum/general-discussion-news-and-announcements/169243-18apr22-pmdg-737-developer-update-kicking-things-off-on-youtube-and-lifting-the-embargo-on-beta-testers-and-streamers
  10. Hi all, I know this has been talked about millions of times. Split scimitars have been out and about on 737s for just over 5 years now. Of course, we would all love to see the scimitars on the NGX, finally, after them being on 737s for a while. I get that it's hard to create a new flight model, and add minor and small details to the cockpit, but it's been 5 years since is was requested back in 2013. I think all of us simmers would appreciate a model only split scimitar paid update at the least for now, and if it feels needed, the flight model and fuel burn update a bit later.
  11. HiGot this really annoying issue with the PMDG 737NGX engine sounds and wondering if this happens to anyone else...Flying along a cruise level, engines humming along as they should. Flying the approach which the engines throttled back and then it hits me...the engine is still at the same noise level as if its still in the cruise. I hit pause then unpause and all is well, back to the way it should be. Does this fairly often and its bugging me. (hope this makes sense)Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks,Garry
  12. HiRecently built a new system which I thought would run FSX like a dream which it does...kind of. I was expecting a bit more from it to be honest. Here's my dilema:Fresh installation of FSX Deluxe with both service packs installed...(no addons, scenery etc)Got the PMDG 737NGX, installed it and followed the Introduction PDF that came with it. I changed my scenery/weather etc. settings as per the PDF and also used the tool by ******* Altuve www.venetubo.com/fsx.html and made the necessary tweaks based on my hardware.I start up FSX using FPS limiter at 30FPS and start a flight. Seems OK, fairly smooth but every now and again the frame rate drops to something like 10FPS which makes everything jerk for a split second. I decide to start up with FPS limiter not running to see how high the FPS is sitting with unlimited framerate selected. It runs between 30-50FPS.Correct me if i'm wrong but given the hardware i'm running (listed below) and from what I've seen on other people YouTube videos, should I not be getting better than this?Any opinions would be greatly appreciated,ThanksGarry
  13. Dear members, I am using 1PC with 3 video cards to run P3Dv4.2 with PMDG 737 for my home cockpit setup. I have main outside view running from gtx1080 on the projector screen and use other 2 cards for PFD/ND/EICAS views, 4 monitors in total. I am getting very good FPS (around 50-60) but I do get some stuttering, especially while taxing. Have tried many solutions, NI, vsync, locking fps in sim and in NI, 30hz screen, etc and no solution so far. I have tried running the same system but without using the monitors for instruments views and all is very smooth! As soon as I get PFD/ND/EICAS on separate monitors I don’t get FPS drop but I lose the smoothness. Anybody has any experience with this kind of setup? Processor is i7 7700 running normally at 60%, GPU is neither loaded, any suggestions what could be the cause or possible fixes? Many thanks for your help! Kind regards, Sergej
  14. When I select the livery even if I run the Livery Manager as an admin... it will pop out a window saying this... "oops unknown variant!" I believe that PMDG should give freely an update or a download of PMDG operations center to old users who bought the 737 some years ago. Today the old customers can't install new liveries due to the livery manager problem and no access to a PMDG operations center. Thank you.
