  1. On the 2D Panel I should get Information about a Switch when I Position the mouse over it. But this is not so although I have the Option activated in General Options. The second Problem for me is, that I am unable to zoon the 2D-panel. Especially the upper left Buttons (one is DATA) are hardly to read. It should work by entering the space bar and moving the mouse-wheel. The only Thing that zooms is the runway. Please help a bloody beginner. In the Moment I'm studying the introduction manual Thanks Gerhard Hartmann
  2. Hello,First of all, this ain't no criticism to the sim, rather, and as I state towards the end, This is the best sim I've ever had, seriousely. This is my first post using this account after my previous account was locked due to failed logins, (and failure to contact an admin)... :)I've spent a lot of time searching for that "best sim ever", for a modern Airbus, a modern Boeing 777, and the best I found thrugh the years was definitely the PMDG 747-400X, which kept me busy during weekends for quite sometime.Being someone who -for some reason- hate the 737's to the bones, probably due to an unrivaled history of accidents, I was reluctant to spare some US $70, what they said o be the best commercial add-on to date, and something i wasn't in love with.I was a bit challenged, though. It looked ridiculous to fly short hops between bus stops with a 747.When I purchased the 737ngx, the install file remained untouched for a month. Then I decided to install, to see ho unique this thing is, or probably it's just not for me.As I flipped through the "Introduction" pages, I said to myself: "Wow, my BI development seems simpler than going through all this."And without wait, I started the sim, hoping that my little knowledge would get me to get the cockpit to live by the end of the day.I was wrong, and disappointed. Framerates down to earth, literally. Overhead panel looks scary, same comment i made to my 737 pilot friend during the Dubai airshow. Figuring out how to setup the sim needed sometime to get used to.The sim stayed in the Hanger for another month, meanwhile, I went back to my original partner, the 747-400X, which had a less scary overhead panel, and morespace to move about. After spending sometime with the Operations manuals, the 737ngx was firedup again, and was ready for a first flight.Followed instructions on several forums to enhance the graphical experience, since I still have a historical Centrino dua-core pc wih 4GB of RAM and a 128MB of dedicated Graphix memory.Went through my own-tailored startup procedure, programmed FMC for a short 45 minutes flight, and throttled on.The flight was a domestic flight in Egypt, from Luxur airport (HELX), to the old Alexandria (HEAX).My mind was BLOWN AWAY with what i saw. The 737ngx seemed to taxi realistically, despite the FSX ground limitations. This aircraft won't tolerate my stupid inputs! LNAV won't engage if first waypoint isn't perfectly ahead of you. So flying the 737ngx manually did exactly as expected, little inputs and trimming and it simply follows.Fuel consumption was accurate as it seems, which later showed that I can do a 4 hour flight with full load, 147kt headwinds, and still have my reserver fuel in tanks :) *looking with pity at the fuel calculations of the *** Airbus A320, claimd to be the best Airbus at the time*My first landing was a VOR approach, manual final and landing, since Autoland messes up with my self-esteem, and I'm thankful to the control surface, that didn't give me nose-dives, nor nose-up-in-the-sky, rather, a realistic attitude throughout, even with a bit of crosswind.I did float a bit due to an excessive flare, since my eyes werent really scanning the PFD, but i eventually landed, cleared the runway and stopped somewhere.Bringing the 737ngx to gate and performing a complete shutdown took almost 25 minutes and lots of mistakes to learn from.Every single flight after that one, brought something I've never experienced in a sim before. Everything you do, would have an impact on something else. An inadvertent click on a generator switch during flight, would fail your Auto Pressurization.Flipping through the abnormal procedures manual, the solution is just right there, and IT WORKS.I am not even 1/10th through understanding the whole systems that are all usable in the 737ngx.Some failures really got me tensed as if I had passengers behind me. The auto pressurization failure brought me bad memories about the Helios 737 crash back in 2005.The aircraft's systems are real and serious, and PMDG deserves a hats off, from someone who knows what it takes to "program" something that works, wth no work-arounds.The Boeing 737ngx is now one of my favorite airplanes, it is a result of massive efforts and dedication, high-quality measurements, and years of development.A friendly note to all of the avid simmers out there: Please, do not rush a PMDG 777, I've seen some people literally whinning to the PMDG team (and others) to quickly "make" a 777. I for one wanted the 777 more than anything. Please understand what it takes, developing such a quality addon would take some time, really. Patience doesn't cost nothing, does it?For the time being, this 737 will be keeping you busy probably for a year, or atleast, till I get my PPL :).Well-done PMDG for the 737NGX.Now off to a MAdeira Challenge!Ahmed AbdesslamSoftware Engineer
  3. Flying 737NGX and FSX with typical add ons (see my sig) and thinking of replacing my T.Flight HOTAS Thrustmaster Joy/Throttle with the (pricey) Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Joy/Throttle combo.Question: Are any of you using this device to fly the PDMG 737NGX in FSX? If yes, can you tell me if you're satisfied with the performance of this controller, particularly as regards to control of the airplane both in terms of steering and thrust?I purchased and returned the Saitek pro flight yoke and rudder pedal combo. Let's just say I was dissatisfied with both items from a flight control perspective, not to mention what I regarded as extremely 'iffy' construction and performance characteristics.I looked at the CH yoke/pedals as well, and believe the Thrustmaster setup is a bit more solid from what I've been able to read about (and at like 2x the price, it should be). Also looked at the crazy-expensive precision flight controls offerings. If money were no object, of course I'd just buy a used 737 from one of the airlines. Sadly, I'm a few cockles short of the millions needed for that idea. Or, I could pay 300 grand for the world's most expensive personal flight simulator (according to Guiness Book of World Records).Since none of that is happening, I am asking for feedback about the Thrustmaster. I recognize that it is probably not ideal for a dual-engine commercial Jet versus a true YOKE design, but the magnetic contacts and the idea of a better feel when moving the throttle to full IDLE has intrigued me greatly. Thanks in advance for any feedback. If I'm missing some 'other' choice for yoke/throttle/rudder pedals - please share your thoughts. Finally, is the Warthog able to fully-control all control surfaces of the 737NGX (especially the rudder?)Ciao.

  5. Here's my issue:Using these: Using FSX Gold with Acceleration Pack LINDA 1.3 PMDG 737NGX Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog FSUIPC 4.x (Registered) Was using but have removed Thrustmaster T.A.R.G.E.T. configuration softwareI experience problems with 2 buttons:The RED pushbutton on the front side of the Throttle grip is programmed to reset Barometer when I'm using REX 2.0HD Real-Time Weather It functions properly and sends the barometric reset command It additionally sends the FSX code for BRAKES The pushbutton on the lower right portion of the throttle base is programmed to activate the PARKING BRAKE command It issues the correct command, but somehow something somewhere ELSE in my system is ALSO issuing the command as well, a total of three times. End result, NON-RESPONSIVE, you hear the parking brake being turned off a couple times but doesn't turn on/off as expected.Troubleshooting steps Turned on keylogging (Tracing) in LINDA, also enabled logging window in FSUIPC as well Removed the command to activate the parking brake from LINDA - parking brake then works as expected. Problem persists with the altimeter reset mentioned herein for the OTHER button. I have spent a LOT of hours trying to chase this, but need some help with solving these two minor issues, PLEASE!!Questions:In FSUIPC.INI file, there is the usual 1 line about BUTTONS, but nothing else. There is no separate 737NGX Button area in FSUIPC.ini that I can see.So where in the heck are the programmed key commands stored for FSX?YES, I went into Controls (within FSX) and made sure NO COMMANDS WERE ASSIGNED to the Joystick or throttle. The AXES for the Warthog ARE there. The Key Command within FSX for parking brake is the semi-colon key (I have assigned that key) and NOTHING appears next to it for JOYSTICK command!Suspicion:I suspect POSSIBLY I might have originally tried to assign the RED button on the lower right base of the throttle control to parking brake using T.A.R.G.E.T. but as I said, I have completely removed TARGET from the machine. I deleted the FSC folder that was created by TARGET as well.I am betting one of you may be able to help me - I surely hope so :Whistle:Thanks in advance for tips and ideas.
  6. Because so much trouble to activate, I suggest that PMDG holds momentarily the sale of NGX until all who have already purchased can be activated. Otherwise the excess connections will continue with more and more customers.I think it's a fair idea for those who already bought. Also at that time PMDG can solve the problem of connections.Just an idea because I'm desperate dozens of failed attempts. JHerrera
  7. I have no problem. My NGX flies perfectly. Do I have to install the hotfix or not?thanks! Jherrera
  8. Hello. I have no problem with the plane. Everything works fine. I followed all instructions from manual and Venetubo. I'm curious what others do not work.It is the best aircraft for fsx. Without a doubt.regards.JHerrera 20-35FPSw7 ultimate. 64 Bit.AMD Phenom II X6 1090T (4.03GHZ)8GB RAMNvidia 570GTX
  9. Hello LINDA Team!Love Linda! Hoping that the impending release of the PMDG 737NGX "SDK" (Software Developers' Kit) will mean some nifty additions for Linda, yes?Hoping for control of all doors via VRInsight Combo II and/or Thrustmaster Warthog Control Surfaces?Hoping the VRInsight 737 Overhead Panel might be a 'new addition' to the array of Linda-supported devices? While we're dreaming, the VRInsight CDU-II support for the PMDG 737NGX.I have already donated to Linda, and like others here, would contribute further if needed to see the PMDG 737NGX implemented across the primary lines of VRInsight hardware (if this is even possible, I don't know?)I for one can't see buying the VRI 737Overhead Panel only for the iFly 737NG. Sorry, but my airplane says PMDG all over it. This is not to 'knock' the IFly. It is simply a statement of my own personal preference. Put another way, since obtaining the PMDG, I don't fly any other aircraft. It's THAT good (in my book). So I'm 'hopeful' that Crumm and company may have some potential good news for those of us with PMDG 737NGX in our hangar?Best wishes,Robert
  10. Hi guys, I want to build a home flightdeck. It will be very simple:2 pcs connected over the network, one for the first officer and one for the captain with CH pedals, saitek throtle and CH yoke.My question is: do you know if it is possible to fly one aircraft with 2 flightsims connected over network and what programs/modules would I need for that? Thanks for your help
  11. Here is a few of my best pictures of the NGX. I hope you enjoy! best regards, Sam Cordell
  12. Always hovered around the forums but never posted before, so here goes. So, I've been having an odd problem as of late. When using the REX weather engine, or even the default MSFSX engine, the winds change their direction between 8,000 and 15,000 feet. It doesn't happen with any other plane, just the NGX. The only option is to have a completely clear sky with no winds at all, because regardless of speed, the wind heading bug on the EFIS spins in little circles like mad. Frankly, I'm at a loss and curious if anyone else experiences this phenomenon too.

A great livery addition to your PMDG 737 NGX collection! Thanks Christian for all the hard work!
  15. Hi Guys,So, there have been a fewing questions going through my mind at the moment which i'm hoping some of you will be able to help me with, some regarding the PMDG 777 and the NGX:NGX:-Are there any repaints,Anywhere, for a photoreal NGX in United Post merge Colors(ideally 800/900)777(these are mainly about routings):-Does anyone know where United got thier 777's repainted into the Post merge Colors(And flight Numbers)-Does anyone know the Flight Number and Routing for the Alitalia Charter into SXM, some people tell me its a direct back and frow, some saying its into SXM them MIA and, well, does anyone know the real answerThank you Guys for your support and helpAlso, if anyone is wondering what the relevence link is between the United and Alitalia routes and the PMDG 777 is...well...Possable Familerization flights? :(
  16. In the future, in service pack will be incorporated the weather radar?
  17. I just spend 24 hours to make the new PMDG 737 work. It turned out that the "runway.csv" file, which is made when you run the "Makerunways.exe", is causing a CTD when you try to load the PMDG 737. As soon as you turn it off in fsx root there is no problem. It looks like RC4 works without this file ? Will it cause any problems in RC if I delete this file.? Regards
  18. After having applied the VOR/LOC button and approaching the glidepath I cannot seem to determine if and when the localizer is captured after which I must apply the APP button. Will someone out there please be so kind and help me find the answer in order I can start making nice and smooth ILS landings landing.ThanksDirk M. Karmelk/The Netherlands
  19. I tried making a quick approach video on the PMDG 737NGXit's an approach to Hongkong Intl Airport (VHHH) by Imagine SImulations.Hope you guys like it! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fs41ZeguRjc Thanks for watching guys!
  20. HiGot this really annoying issue with the PMDG 737NGX engine sounds and wondering if this happens to anyone else...Flying along a cruise level, engines humming along as they should. Flying the approach which the engines throttled back and then it hits me...the engine is still at the same noise level as if its still in the cruise. I hit pause then unpause and all is well, back to the way it should be. Does this fairly often and its bugging me. (hope this makes sense)Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks,Garry
  21. HiRecently built a new system which I thought would run FSX like a dream which it does...kind of. I was expecting a bit more from it to be honest. Here's my dilema:Fresh installation of FSX Deluxe with both service packs installed...(no addons, scenery etc)Got the PMDG 737NGX, installed it and followed the Introduction PDF that came with it. I changed my scenery/weather etc. settings as per the PDF and also used the tool by ******* Altuve www.venetubo.com/fsx.html and made the necessary tweaks based on my hardware.I start up FSX using FPS limiter at 30FPS and start a flight. Seems OK, fairly smooth but every now and again the frame rate drops to something like 10FPS which makes everything jerk for a split second. I decide to start up with FPS limiter not running to see how high the FPS is sitting with unlimited framerate selected. It runs between 30-50FPS.Correct me if i'm wrong but given the hardware i'm running (listed below) and from what I've seen on other people YouTube videos, should I not be getting better than this?Any opinions would be greatly appreciated,ThanksGarry
  22. Finally... after rebooting everything on my computer, and reinstalling everything,... I was given the chance to add my activation code and am finally good to go on PMDG's 737NGX. What a process!Thank you to all those who helped, and convinced me to do so! - I think I will enjoy the weekend now! :)
  23. Hi For some reason, my mouse cursor looks black and won't interact with anything on the new 737NGX. Can someone please advise where I have gone wrong. I am sure it's simple, but I am stumped. I have no issues on any other aircraft. Thank you Matt
  24. Hi, I was just wondering why the PMDG 737 NGX aircraft display eyebrows when in simulation, even if in the livery thumbnail there aren't any? Can anyone help me? Thanks :)
  25. In FSX settings the PMDG 737 NGX will run with DX10 preview enabled?
